something I have wanted to say. might as well put it here. why give us so many powers to chose from and then tell us...you can only use 6 of them for the am???? as for the rest. I like it...so far. and they will come back!!! and they will stay!!! if, its done right!!!

will there be any changes impacting free accounts? I pay for a month here or there when I have too but not being able to accept gear or money from allies when in need of help kinda blows

Were gonna be waiting maybe 5months or more for content while free to plays get play rotating episodes for free and your ok with that? Im not. Sales are shittier then ever, still paying the same amount on my subsciption and im supposed to care about staffing, Forget that! Release quality content then.

I hear ya. Just cant see how some players, not all, will stick around subbing for 6 months with not a whole lot to do. For me personally water with 1 other thing that got announced for 2016 would of kept me around. Now im pretty much done. Im staying for SM and episode 26 and then when my 1 month sub runs out ill find another game. And thats cool. I dont think anyone expects dcuo to be around forever. The timing of it all seems odd imo. And i know if i find another game or anything else i really enjoy then itll be very hard to get me to come back to dcuo. I know a lot of others that feel that way too. I just dont get the decisions that are made. But whatever, said my piece and not commenting on it again

Finally some good changes going around here and looking forward to hear more about the Alternative Character Progression

Large Content Releases being back is a huge thing me i hated the monthly content it was horrible the gear system was horrible and Episodes were just boring there was no excitement i used to have with Large content releases and actually enjoy the progression

Not everyone cares about alts

With the announcement of a new PvP map and gear set, let's hope the devs give PvP some serious love. I get a lot more PvP done with the larger content because I'm not in such a rush to stay within the top 2 or 3 CR. This will give people more to do and stick with the game if we really are looking at a five month wait before new content. And alts. Maybe my alts will get love beyond the seasonals.

User created content! Proven addictive by such games as Halo, Minecraft, Disney Infinity, Little Big Planet, Mario Maker and GTA Online, have proven this model works for many genres! Why not make it so players can make platformer levels? This will create MILLIONS of levels for players to share, and explore!

Open World Reborn! Allow player to "stake a claim" like Red Dead Redemption, where a player chooses a "beat or turf" area of the city to patrol (or if your a villain to terrorize) this alerts other player so they can contest the area and overtake that turf.

Comic Book Collecting! Like in the latest Spider-Man games collect pages of comic books until you have a full comic to view ( it would be nice to be able to redeem those completed collections through The DC comics app! Sells the games which sells the comics which sells the games.

Allow us to change Mentors! What we can't learn from other great teachers?

True true , but people are already leaving and in great numbers. More will leave to. I do not disagree. Some would leave anyway , some maybe not. Gotta level a building to build a newer better one though. I do know 75% of my league bailed this year and a healthy number has stated they would return when things reverted. Daybreak is looking at the long term finally instead of band aids . Rebuilding is messy of course and you are right, those 6 months are gonna be long and suck...but hopefully worth it in the end.

First off, I would like to say that I missed this. Laying out a large plan and goal, sharing it out with us. So thanks for that.

Announcing Large Content Releases
So I am basically treating this as a return to the old pattern of 3 month cycle or something similar. I hope it works. I would need to see more information regarding these contents and how long these cycles are supposed to last.
The time in between the two episodes must have been a hard decision to make because it is a big gamble; where players may loose interest and leave. However, if you can pull it off with Episode 27, as something worthwhile for the wait then I hope it pays off big. However, 4 to 5 months is a big sacrifice for us as well and I think people will expect a BIG return for that sacrifice. Not just on episodic content or how great or many but something that will really turn heads around.

Midrange Balance

Please, Please consider to put Electricity and Nature as soon as possible (after the weapon update) it has been way too long and neglected. Electricity is one of the most visually attractive powers, almost perfect to its character.

Alternative Character Progression

Aside from Stats and Cr differential, this is my most anticipated news of the game. I really truly hope it is a game-changing idea.

Water Powers

I might get hanged for saying this but take your time, get it right. I've waited 3-4 years? since the idea was first brought up; I can think of more crucial aspects that needs to be paid attention to.

Style and Gear Unlocking

I would have liked this sooner than later but again, another matter I can wait for.

League Tools

Meh - It's a cool idea, still to vague to be of note for me.

Out of the blue but much anticipated by PVP players, I'm not a pvp'er but still welcome news.

Level 30 Missions

Take your time - make it right. I remember how lost I was after my first toon out of the 30 missions. Mostly, I had to persevere in looking for information about the process after 30 in various websites. I hope you can do something to provide better guidance and information.

Early Leveling

I completely agree. Let's try to retain some of those players.

Skip Tutorial and Level 25 Auto Boost

This idea is also a "meh" for me. It will be cool for some players who just want to get to it quick but for me the process is quick anyway and there are some rare styles to get for feats; so I'll pass on this idea.

I've been talking about water powers for the last week , I was kind of upset they were not released with the summer event . But at least now I can stop wanting them . No need to want something that is not coming out for another year .

No content for 6 months ... ewwwww . One thing that I have bragged about is how daybreak changed that . Before Daybreak took over , we just ran the same stuff over and over and over and over . But I guess we can help noobs if we get bored .

But .... If longer waiting times mean better costumes , new hair styles , New iconic gear , New maps , New zones , better voice actors , then maybe its not a bad thing . But ... It will be kind of boring waiting around .

I do have some requests . Please please change the fatal gloves to have a pink lantern ring on them . I have a star sapphire . I know you will never make pink lantern powers , so please just give me a ring . Also I would like to see and iconic lantern logo pack . So you could put your logos on some of your costumes that you create . That would be so cool . Also I would like a side bang , long hair style for females . If you want me to show you some pics , then I can show you . Also I would like to see auras for eyes . Like lightning eyes , or eyes that glow in and out . More eye aura styles . When you release water powers will you have a queen mera crown for females . I would really like to have an atlantean crown for my toon . TY

Think about that second part for a while. Why create a new Alt now if you can wait and get one that starts out at level 25 instead of Level 1 in Brainiac' ship?

personally I have two things to keep me busy. One is Skill points just like you said the other is Progression of existing alts. See I don't use replays on missions so I do a couple duos and alerts a day that sill give marks and the raids once a week. I have 13 ALT all above CR 150 and the highest at the moment is CR 163. Because I didn't rush through content like a maniac and use up a ton of Replays I have plenty to keep me busy till the new content comes out.

How nothing to do? We have a lot of things to do since now we'll have stats matter, here some examples:

1000 treasure chest
1000 lair battles
25000 exobytes
25000 gathering
250 earth duos

Just to mention some of them, while we don't have a new content we can be occupied with this unless anyone else here be over 270 SP.

I will say I did not read all 24 pages of content here, but what I'm seeing is concern that we will loose players during the 5 month wait. As someone who has 'quit' this game at least 3 times in the past 4 plus years. Do not worry, most of them, after beating a few new games, will come back and grind to the top CR and gear and then complain about balancing and de-buffing. The love / hate drama between devs and players is a twisted relationship you can't get from non-mmo games.

Haha and I was considering retiring for good, the 5 month DLC drought is going to be interesting though.

Mepps, when PvP was improved that many months ago, phase 2 was being talked about. Suicide squad map and new gear is wonderful! But we need multiple gear sets back to keep our grind longer, new feats, RPS system and many more things the 2012-2014 PvP had.
