Work In Progress Mid-Year Development Update: Announcing Large Content Releases, Open Episodes, and Summer Plans

Sm, pvp, and seasonals are all f2p. I'm going in with my eyes wide open, not trying to be negative. At the very least, we will have 5 months without any new end game content.

Anyway i meant another SM not this upcoming one. 4 months is a long time for a new pvp season and Seasonal content to satisfy most ppl.

I never liked the 3 month cycle. New PvP season? The Devs REALLY need fix PvP if we're getting a new map because the state of PVP needs some work.

This happened more than 1 time in dcuo, you are all being really negative about it, and forgeting how content always launched. It can be launched in March 2017? Yes, but their goal is to launch from december to january, and it's not like water or pvp balance, content=money, it's their top priority to release content, you really think they want to not get money from replays and new subs during more than the 4 months?

What kind of events will you be using to try and keep people around for the 6 months without content?

I just want to say , THANK YOU devs for doing this , now we will get open world content !,new maps , new creative styles and gears

Just assume early next year. Because when you people start talking about December or november, ppl hold to that and then expect that and then when those times do come they are disappointed and complain. Kind of like how people are complaining about how style sharing got pushed back along with water.

Why is the monthly episode/new content changing back to 3 months or even more? are u guys insane. The new content every month is what got players to come back to this game. Its what sets u apart from other games. Bad move all around. Leave it alone!

My question would be how they play to implement #StatsMatter, Stats Revamp, and Removing CR Differential?

I have played on and off again some the game launched. I have 4 higher cr characters, 129, 155,168, 168. I have between 117 and 120sp. I'm a 12 hour a day worker with 2 small kids. I love DCUO for making me a part of48 years of reading comics, the iconic characters,styles to try to emulate your favorites etc etc. I can play how I want to which is what I love most. I don't like to PvP so I don't. I don't want to fly races so I don't. Its not enjoyable to me and so I avoid it. I love all the PvP content and the different styles which drives me as much to spend a few hundred dollars a month on replays so I can try for both the higher cr gear pieces and the great new styles like nuclear for example.

If all of a sudden the game is going to drastically change Where you need 200+ sp to be competitive in an instance that would kill the game for me.

Elder scrolls online recently did a similar revamp of there old veteran rank system. Max level is 50 and you earn champion points to enhance your character but the key here for me is you earn points by playing the game and doing anything that earned experience.

I want to be clear, anyone who has those 175 or200 or 250 so earned that stuff and deserve great achievement awards, but I don't think it should be for skill points. If your going to revamp the system, don't the gear achievements to character enhancing skill points. Give rare styles. Lair items, auras etc etc but not skill points. Or would make the game totally against casual players.

Do something like ESO did which most players liked. Allow skill points to be warned by playing the game and doing things that earn experience.

You can certainly add experience to completing feats as well, but allow the PvP player to do PvP and earn sp for doing what they enjoy. For me let me earn sp from all the pve content. The gear chasers from doing feats for smaller sp gain, but rare rewards for reaching certain old sp tiers. Like 100 sp gives you a rare lair item. 110 sp gives a rare style choice Or credits or marketplace coins etc.

I may not like to PvP or run races but I certainly put my time and replays into running all the pve content for gear, marks and styles.

I hope my point makes sense and I know all the high sp will bash me but just because I can't play all night and every weekend doesn't me I should be forced to do things I don't enjoy.

The reality is there are a lot of elitists in the game already who Will kick you or not even group with you if you don't have a ton of sp now, if sp becomes the driver instead of cr it would really hurt the game unless like I suggested they revamp how you earn sp. Allow me to earn sp by playing what I like to play, not forcing me.

Besides everything being good I just wanna say this. If dcuo is the only game you play then you are going to be SOL when the gap happens. I remember reading a post of someone saying "Mannn, I wish dcuo would just shut down the game for -estimated time- and fix everything then launch back up. Well this is technically it, but just no shutdown . I am perfectly fine if there will be a huge gap. I read somewhere in the comments where mepps answered someone with the same regards stating "We understand the gap that will be happening, but we feel this is the right thing to do" which is amazing considering the game mechanically has been all over the place.

Now what I will say on this is I want actions than words. I understand of development time and Spit happens during development time, but this wont be the first time we been promised/mentioned about something and it has been a flop or never seen daylight. All This coming from a skeptical customer.

I really do wish the best for you dev team and hope this all works out. As stated during the gap I will be enjoying my time with other games, but not leaving in a sassy way, more of "Im proud of you and look forward to it" type of way.

That's assuming there will be anyone left. Not having any content for months was always a drag, and with this upcoming break being especially long, well...it's not going to be pretty.

But it will also give players below top tier CR more time to catch up. This will probably reduce sales of RBs but hey, people won't see themselves forced to spam the same raids over and over.

I dont even have words. No content for 6 months or maybe longer? And most of the stuff announced for this year is either scrapped or delayed? What has been going on since the 1st of this year? All this stuff shows me is another direction change. I dont mind going back to 3 month dlcs, i want that actually. But having that long break is too much for me. WIth all the announcements for this year being delayed it makes me say im 99% gone. Those changes would of held me over until AF3. But now? Nope just not gonna have anything to do. I will say thank u for announcing this before i resubbed for another 6 months. Because now there is no way i resub. I will sub for 1 month for ep26 and then i am done with dcuo.

All this stuff today shows me no direction and stability. Why does there need to be another huge change of direction in the game? We dont need that. We could of went back to 3 month dlcs and remove cr differential. That fixes a lot of problems people have. Then start having the stuff announced for 2016 go live. That is all people wanted. I have no faith the stuff that was announced for 2016 will ever go live because of past history. We get promised this and that and the same thing always happens. 75-100% of it doesnt happen or never goes live. And again that is because of the past history and how things have been done in dcuo.

So basically sept,oct, nov, dec, we get no content and we arent even sure AF3 happens in january. Beginning of the year could be feb or march still. So it could be 6 months of no new content. I will 100% find another game by then and wont bother even checking whats going on in dcuo. All these changes needed to happen asap. And most of it has been delayed. Idk how people are saying brilliant or awesome with this announcement. How is a long amount of time with no content awesome? U know how many people will be dropping subs and leaving? The population is gonna look like a skeleton crew of players. The keynote changes announced for this year would of kept people around. Alternate progression, removal of cr differential and water would of kept me subbing until AF3. Now? Nope.

I dont want to be critical but i just cant understand the direction. I question what has been going on for the last 6 months with the stuff that was announced? Water was announced a year ago. And now it could be another 6 months or longer? I just dont understand all this.

Have I told you lately that I love you? I do! Thank you for the 3 month content. I understand that there will be a gap and I'm actually greatful for it, this will give me time to do some of the long grindy feats that I've been putting off because of the constant gear grind.

I'm very disappointed that water powers won't be released this year.

When players left for Destiny, they came back to DC because of new content. Be prepared to lose money. No one is gonna sit around for 4 or 5 months of running the same nonsense...!

I remember how content launched. The difference then was there were other things like new powers, bases were new, PvP was not a mess (new gear ain't gonna fix it either), new Legends characters.

As for League Tools, there are currently 6 teleporters in the league hall. Instead of having two of the same destination (Meta, Tech & Magic wings), please allow us to use the teleporter generator mods in our league hall generator or at least let players teleport to PD's and Nightclubs.
