Merge USPC and EUPC

Lately i've wanted to change the name of this game from DC Universe to LF Tank and Troll Universe. Merging the servers would help out with this issue as well as cut the queue times for pvp instances in half. I want to here what people think about this. Also, any comments on whether or not this is possible?

Errm sorry dude, here on EUPC we have the last and only unglitched server so unless you guys want to lose a butt load of cash, nope

i would settle for a more propper economy if we could combine them, but i think the pro7 whatever thing would prevent it.

I don't think that would be the problem as I play on the SOE client, my account was originally a Steam one, the main problem is simply the glitched cash and all the assets that have been acquired with it.

On EUPC we have the normal out of the box economy, stacks of red exos cost 25k (ish) highest rare item is roughly 500k (again ish) so would it be fair to dump the ruined economy and all the things you have bought with the cheated cash on us?

Perhaps if you were all limited to 100k each and stripped of 50% of the ill gotten gains then sure

i think it would even itself out and make a fairly decent economy. you guys sell you stuff for a little more, we sell ours for a little less. could be great.

Actually you would just double the length of the search for tanks and trolls. Tanks and trollers are scarce on all servers not just USPC

Yeah, whenever I want to get quick work in LFG, I log my troller.

The trolls and tanks are hiding in their leagues VERY scared and concerned about the PUG world.

There are so many things that prevent the merging of the servers, but here are the main two that prevent it:

1. Location : Which server would be used? That makes a longer latency for some players.

2. Names: Don't you think there might be someone on the other server with your name? Who gets to keep it? Who needs to change their name? And League Names aswell.

This has come up with merges in the past. I believe it was whoever had the name first got to keep it and the other was given a token to rename their character.

Nope not scared or concerned. We just have better choices within leagues and friends than dealing withCpt. Pew Pew and all the crap he brings with him.

I only troll for my league or REAL close friends... otherwise I DPS it.
Why you may ask?

Not on EUPC, in my league alone we have 3/4 t5 trolls including myself and more on the way and about 3/4 t5 tanks - we rarely pug though as league is way more fun.

Nah as everyone else says, not scared we just know we have fun in the league or with mates...besides myself and the others are always getting pm'd to do something so why does any troll or tank need to pug

Well sounds good but it wouldn't work as we don't want it - on EUPC we are proud that we are the last unglitched economy and will protect it to be honest.

People playing on potatoe won't like that idea. Their potatoe will melt when they go to Watchtower and see a 100 people standing there on weekends.

This. Also, I don't want my character's names to change. I don't want to have _EU or some crap tacked on the end because someone else happened to have the same name on the other server (even if that other person is me).

As with anything there are positives and negatives for something like this.

Ignoring the logistics, there are players on USPC I'd love to be able to play with, but there is a massive economy unbalance which would take time to balance out and there will be players who will loose out (EUPC currently deal in hundreds of thousands, USPC has hundreds of millions) and I do enjoy the smaller playerbase - on the whole, keeping them separate would be preferential for me.

A bigger and more immediate "issue" is the ability to allow Heroes and Villains to freely communicate and play content together.

This seems like a terrible idea since either the americans, or most likely the europeans would have terrible latency since the server would be hosted in only one of the continents lol.

What seems like a way better idea to me is to merge the ps3/4 and pc servers

You could merge the PS4 with PC. You couldn't merge the PS3 with PC without dealing with the same limitations the PS4 has had emplaced upon it. The ones that come to mind first are the 200 item limit for bases as well as the smaller base size the PS4 is stuck with. Our hardware can handle anything the PC has, but because we've got to interface with the PS3 crowd we're limited to what THEY can handle. =/
