That was how SoL recruited. The characters we had from back in the day were something else, man. They would be howling and merking villains alllllll day and night. A simpler time.
Something came to mind when reading this thread reminds me of how Toxic the DCUO community is its disgusting so many **** jokes, gay slurs & racism in the community sometimes right in your face in the Trade chat. DCUO needs to cultivate a better community and actually moderate DCUO seems to draw in a certain kind of toxic player or should I say person that I have not seen in other mmo's most of those are in game related toxicity. But DCUO Toxicity is more related to the people that is playing. I hope this kind of behavior does not become even more widespread
My experience is generally the opposite. Griefing is common place here for giggles or at least it was, but nothing personally discriminatory. I see more of that in other games, which is odd because they are generally more polite and well mannered im games like FFXIV. I think people are just more genuine here. The game is like half black and white it seems. Pretty sure we're more progressive than most of the continent.
FF14 community is insular, youll get along with the community if you play by the general rules. DCUO is more opinionated but lack social checks and no ingame moderation, so people feel free to say any derogatory thing without fear of punishment. Their was a guy in the Hall of Doom the other day, effectively doxxing another player by giving that players full name and telling players to look up their social media, and airing out their personal business, if it wasnt a outright lie.
