Membership Rewards Unofficially Not Worth It

Okay. Just saw the rewards for December.

To put it gently, Devs you need to kick it up a notch. How have you fallen off the positive start of an iconic style, then gave us a terrible looking cape, and now an aura that only works for 1 of your 15 powers?!

We know you guys are busy putting together the Marvel MMO, but for god sake give us something we want.

Here’s a hint….

ICONIC STYLES, ACCESSORIES, PETS, LAIRS…. Something that shows you put more than a week effort into the end of the month reward.

Arctic style? REALLY? Boy that’ll sure look awesome if I’m a fire tank…. Or mental…. Or whatever power you are that’s not Ice….

Also, if you’re gonna churn out enhanced styles, give us ones that aren’t super easy to get. Main Man? You can literally buy the tokens on the MP.

Get it together, or others and myself are gonna unsub faster than Barry can run.

I think if they're going to give us old styles they need to pick ones that don't have an elite or enhanced versions. We have all the old Lantern sets that could very easily be enhanced and I don't think anyone would complain. My issue with the aura is it should be customizable since it's the monthly reward. I do have a feeling we'll end up seeing the customizable version in a time capsule or Booster bundle in the near future. All in all this rewards system is turning into a big let down we get less stuff including gear to salvage, nth metal, Stabilizer keys it's just getting to be not worth the money.

I can care less what gear they give in the daily rewards i do believe they should be higher cr gear tho not the atm common level of 280 but nonetheless ive already made up my mind of not renewing my membership some reasons being
•everyone is open to their money no more escrow
•all episodes are free
•they removed promethium lockboxes which i guess gave you decent things and now you have to suffer with TCs
•supposedly you get better rewards and more nth metal but im just not seeing it
And honestly membership doesnt even seem worth it anymore
Before they gave all these things to F2P players you actually had really good benefits with membership but now that just feels stripped imo so until they introduce some more benefits to membership i will not renew

If you did that, then you would go back in time before episodes were open, and then you would need to sub again, which would take time, so you would re-sub and come back to the problem. Then, you would do the same and go back in time once again, therefore getting stuck in a sub-unsub time loop forever and ever.

About the rest of your post, I agree with you. Of course that, being unsubbed, the current state of the game was very beneficial to me, but let's be honest, the sub rewards are not worth the trouble.

I just came back from a really long hiatus and this was the one that bit me the hardest. As small as the reward was at times, it still at least felt like a tangible difference between all access and non-member.

I don't think these Developers are working on the Marvel mmo, I think it's a different department within Dimensional Ink.

They said January.

Some say it will be on the Anniversary vendor.

Personally I was speculating that it would be part of the Daily rewards in January.

But AFAIK we don't really know yet.

Guess we will find out next month.

Putting a gear style for people to catch up is fine.... but......

Did people really need to catch up on the Main Man style??
Pretty easy to get the style.
The style is pretty cheap on the Broker.
It's almost as bad as getting something like the New Genesis style in the Daily rewards.

For the aura..... we already have the Arctic Aura.... or the Diamond Mist aura..... but those are rare or expensive.
I can see adding a more accessible version.

As for suggesting people drink coffee....... how dare you good Sir?

They didn't I still think it's going to be a time capsule style.

Obviously I’d like to see new/retouched style items (like how some chest/legs were repurposed for survival mode) but those seem like a ton of work to put out monthly. The day 21 reward has been fine with the exception of this past month IMO. I would like to see a better assortment of items to buy with Fate Tokens alongside an uptick in just about all other rewards like source marks, Nth Metal and Stabilizers.

I think what is in place is a fine start and a good base to have, but a few tweaks here and there would make me actively want to sub.

I am pretty sure they straight out said it wouldn't be Time Capsule. I think there would be riot if it did. Especially after all they promised on it. lol It was even mentioned in a development update post a little while back.

Auras aren’t locked to power sets. Anyone can use the Arctic aura regardless of what you believe. Even a fire can use it. It’s December, a winter month in the US. What is in the winter? Snow. So the aura isn’t based on a power but on a season.

What makes you think the dcuo devs are the ones working on he marvel game? What makes you think the game is even in the programing phase? What makes you think that the design/arts team is working on the marvel game? A lot of players will like the aura. Just because it’s not something you personally like doesn’t make it bad.

“Give us something we want… lairs…” they just released the manor themed lair. They even said they could work on a new lair too. It’s not one person working on everything. They can do different projects at the same time. There are different teams for different areas of the game.

Again, anyone can use the aura. It’s not locked behind powers.

Yes the main man style is a little disappointing. But they never said they would be releasing any new styles. Beggers can’t be choosers. If something as small as a style will make you unsub than unsub. Everything that the membership gives is clearly listed. So the devs aren’t required to do anything extra that is not listed on the membership perks.

There are players birthdays every month of the year. Why should they make something special for you?
