Members should receive 1 stabilizer per run

Agree to more but also agree that 1 per day would screw everything up and probably end up with crazier rng or whatever. Maybe just a random full stabilizer as a bonus drop on occasion. So it feels good but doesn't become ho hum and have players asking for more yet again a year from now.
But Zoe is onto something much better. We need better benefits. Feels like I'm going to start a picket line soon. Or just unsub and go freemium. Either way, it's time to revisit those benefits asap

I don't know the exact number that should math out.

I do know that the current Legendary plan often feels very underwhelming when compared to the option of being Premium and just buying the things you will actually use a la carte. Especially since Premium players get to keep their purchases forever, and Legendary players lose everything the second that they unsub.

The current system of 4 fragments for Premium and 6 for Legendary seems like a very insignificant amount of a difference between the two plans.

Here is some basic math. If you a Legendary player un-subs for just 1 month, they could spend that subscription cost and create 2 extra Premium accounts. Those accounts will stay Premium forever. A Legendary Subscriber would end up getting 12 Stabilizers for that month. The Premium Player would end up getting 24 Stabilizers for that month. And after that, if the Premium Player wanted to return to being a Legendary subscriber the next month, they would permanently have the benefit of 8 extra fragments daily, with all time capsule contents being tradable. That is a benefit that lasts for as long as they play the game.

Right now, I have 10 extra accounts that I can log in for 90 seconds a day and get Stabilizers for free on. It takes me 15 minutes of time. I get almost 3 full Stabilizers per day in addition to what my actual Legendary sub account gets. I'm sitting on a stockpile of over 500 stabilizers, just waiting for about another 3 weeks when Resurgence will come around again.

When the workarounds in the game reward players for pretending to be lazy inactive cheapskates, instead of rewarding players for being longterm subscribers, the priorities seem to be in the wrong place and the customers do not necessarily have a positive experience with their spending.

You must have missed the part where I said the new CEO of DCUO had a lot to do with neverwinter who has a similar system. The entire point is the op is greedy based on what?

Yes. I've been hoping for a 'shared bank' slot or something where we can move it. I doubt we'd ever see a return to mailed cash though. Not that in itself that's a bad thing. I think no mailed cash would make it much harder to redistribute 'bad' cash and hamper the gold sellers by making them to meet ups to trade cash. However, having NO option to move between your toons other than trades with other people or paying the broker 'tax' to list and buy items on an alt has been going on too long.

Not sure everyone walks away with a billion + everything from a TC from opening 50. Unless you hook at least 2 or 3 big ticket items out of those 50, buying the up to 36 collection pieces, 8 or 16 gear pieces + whatever spiffy item is the 'rare' one in there would be tough...but yeah, if done right, you can get all of it with the given TCs, a little luck and a decent amount of broker/market knowledge.

    Only 10? Not bad...for a start.;)

You should start a second account and try playing as a free to play for a bit and see what it is like...

A more realistic approach would be to modernize the free stabilizer fragments tied to daily logins instead of doing a duo. I absolutely despise this duo because of all the AFK people.

    That's be great.
Since TC release and the attachment of feats on many things contained within
to me makes it a member perk to some regard more substantial than the current.

We shouldn't speak of greed when it is prevalent, through TC obtained rewards,
    throughout the broker.

And now the conversation takes a decidedly darker turn...

You mean players who do not have to pay a single cent to play almost all the content of this game face some sort of restrictions? Oh, the horrors!! What sort of a cold, cruel, unfeeling reality must this be where someone can exploit only 95%-99% of the labors of others without contributing anything themselves? How wretched a place must Dimensional Ink be to offer so much of their game for freeloaders to engorge on while asking little to nothing in return! Oh, the humanity of a slow queue or limited funds! How ignoble must such an existence be! Surely the homeless urchins of Calcutta and Somalia weep for the ongoing cruelties suffered by the Free to Play players and pray for the justice they so obviously deserve.

I think paying members should get a stabilizer a day to be honest.

As a subscriber, I get enough stabilizers to open 5 TCs every 2 weeks...most other people only get one. We already get 5 times as many for our subs...doubt if DBG is going to give us more.

Why are people disagreeing with this? DCUO consumers, man.
Even the devs themselves have stated that membership needs reworked. We get very little in terms of member bonuses. Club Penguin gave more of a perk.
1 stab a day won't kill the game, especially due to the inflated state of artifacts. Sometimes people forget that implementing a more generous addition into the game can attract players. A large portion of my friends have due to artifacts/time capsules being SO expensive.
    Let us have this.

In 2 weeks you can open 5 TCs(with 6 frags left over)...Premiums can open 3 (with 7 frags left over). You can definitely open more, but its not even 2x...much less 5x. Free can open 2 (with 8 frags left over), so you're not even 5x someone who has never contributed a dime...well 5$... but close enough.

In your circles you might open 5x as many, but it would be more due to their lack of running the stabilizer mission daily than the fact you get 6 frags a day as a member.

A bit more would not be out of line. 1 a day? You are right...we won't get that....well not without some catch or another attached.

Meant to say that friends have left** woops!

    Hmm...

As nice as that would be, I also doubt that subscribers would get such a perk for "free"; something would have to give way.

    "Devil's Advocate Hat: ACTIVATE!"
Seven stabilizers a week for members would equal to no stabilizer fragment drops when they run the stabilizer event. No double dipping; members should not be able to get 7 free stabilizers and THEN run the stabilizer event for 6 fragments a day. Another option would be to just lock members out of the stabilizer event altogether, as it is easier to just log in, get the freebee, and then log out, especially with alts. Either way, members would no longer receive stabilizer fragments. Free and premium players would still have the same stabilizer fragment drops; however, they would have exclusive access to the double stabilizer fragment events, as members would no longer earn fragments.
    "Devil's Advocate Hat: DEACTIVATE!"

The above is just an opinion/example, but it is one I could see happening. It is good that the devs have acknowledged that the membership perks need a rework; however, I always keep the "cost of balance" on the back burner as far as what perks will be gained/lost and will the changes be enough to keep paying my DCUO subscription.

Personally, if I received 1 free stabilizer a day I would never, ever, run the Stabilizer Event again.

You're making the assumption that it would be given similar to the monthly allotment perks. It's very possible that this could be implemented in a way where you could only get the 1 stabilizer a day due to running the event. In theory, all it would require is changing the membership stabilizer fragments to 15 per run instead of the current 6. Then, members aren't locked out of the bonus stabilizer fragment events (which are basically just a box of fragments set to specific numbers based on membership level).
  18. myandria Item Storage

    Hmm,

True, I am thinking of it as an allotment, as it would be a lot easier to deal with. Another option could be to give members a choice; either receive the 1 stabilizer as a daily perk or run the stabilizer event for 15 fragments. If you change your mind you have to wait 30 days to change your option, and you can only change it once. I think a lot of members would choose to log in and get their stabilizer as opposed to running the stabilizer event. By the time a stabilizer fragment event comes around (which is not often), members who saved their stabilizers would have more than the event would give them. And, to point out, I think the devs would shorten the stabilizer event to just an extended week-end instead of a whole week if members could get 2 stabilizers (30 fragments) a day during that event.

Stabilizers have become an important part of the DCUO economy, so giving a full one out to members a day is not something the devs could do without taking something important away to ensure they are still profitable. If members could get one full stabilizer a day, there would be little reason to buy them, as they could save them up for that next booster bundle/resurgence capsule. I'm not sure the devs are going to agree to losing profits that way.

im in agreeance with the OP. if you play most other games with RNG boxes (esp mobile) this is actually a common thing. i dont even know why most are nay saying this when its been asked to add things for people that sub. honestly its asking for ONE a day not 10+.
