Also, as a reply to the OP: we already get replays monthly and your idea simply lets everyone take the most expensive style once a month. It's not a good business move, and you can see that even paying customers aren't agreeing with you and you're offering free stuff, therefore it's probably a bad idea.

They can't dynamically change the price on a per player basis. And expecting to be able to unlock the original plasmic aura for free every month is an unrealistic expectations. If you want to unlock that aura for free, just save up your repay badges.

This doesn't change anything. Because we already have free replay badges, therefore- we can
unlock for free- any time we want. This IS something we benefit from. You also get 500 DB Cash,
you can choose to use it on Replays as well, and get what you want. Most of us don't see it as
a bonus benefit - or anything to help us progress. Therefore, What we have is fine. People disagree
with you, this is not a bad thing. The forums are here so we can voice our opinions. So you might hear
a different opinion you didn't want to hear.

The OP clearly posits the idea outside of/ in addition to RP badge grants. So having folks pile on and ignore that is disingenuous and counterproductive. And those posts imo are absolutely nothing but derails and thusly don't deserve more than dismissal as they're ignoring the very premise of the thread they're responding to.

On a serious note, the people who's commented do have a point, it won't cover the unlock of a ridiculously overpriced aura but if you need some styles on an alt, those 150 replays from the sub alone will actually cover a few unlocks. At this point, I'd rather discuss the possibility of some sort of price reduction on some of those ridiculously overpriced aura unlocks.

It's also been stated why your suggestion isn't feasible, if you bothered to read anything else.

If the "1 free style unlock" was limited to common/cheapest styles,vthen it might be an acceptable addition to member benefits.

However, there are other issues that would limit its implementation:
* technical feasibility: it took a long time to get style unlocking to liveso changes to that system would be
* current member benefits: as mentioned by others the membership already includes replay badges, which is what is used to acquire styles on alts.

Plus this thread appears to be an attempt to avoid paying high prices on rare style that's poorly packaged as an "additional membership benefits".

The fact that some styles cost significantly more than others is the reason why it wouldn't work, as already stated. DBG would lose out on a lot of potential sales per month if everyone could unlock the most expensive of styles for free even once per month. That alone would make it unworthy. If they decided to do it at risk of financial gain then great, but realistically I doubt it would happen.

Its an awesome idea. One free style unlock would be an great addition to member benefits and could encourage players to sub up.
