Well here's a new bump in the road.

Go to 6:14 but you might want to see the story before it too.

He also explains how Marvel may not get the X-men and FF rights back at 27:07.

    Hey Everyone
I know it hasn't even been that long that Avengers: Infinity War hit theaters breaking box office records but Marvel Studios has announced the film's release dates of July 31 on digital platforms and on DVD, blu-ray, and 4K on August 14

I love Jake and all but really? Jake? as a MCU villain that will only be in a couple movies? Nah, make him Nova, Adam Warlock, or Silver Surfer.

At least we won't have to put up with seeing his face, unless they do a Stallone Dredd and have him barely ever wearing his helmet

You may want him to do any of those characters but most likely he doesn't.

The heroes are a long term commitment, as such Joaquin Phoenix turned down Dr. Strange because he didn't want the multi picture deal that came with it. So the same could be said for Jake, doing a villain is simple and short term. It's also a bit more fun to do.

Until the deal is completely done (which is on shaky ground now), you should forget about Silver Surfer or anything that FOX's owns.

You are of course assuming that they will be doing a comic book accurate costume and not make something more practical and realistic.:p

Disney's Plans to Buy Fox Just Hit a Major Snag and Its Name Is Comcast

Marvel Studios’ parent company Disney would very much like to get its hands on all of the sweet, juicy, profitable comic book IP that Fox smartly secured back in the ‘90s, but the House of Mouse’s tentative $52.4 billion offer might no longer be enough to seal the deal.
Today, Comcast made the surprising announcement that it’s considering whether to make a “superior all-cash offer” to acquire 21st Century Fox—a direct challenge to Disney’s all-stock offering:

“Any offer for Fox would be all-cash and at a premium to the value of the current all-share offer from Disney. The structure and terms of any offer by Comcast, including with respect to both the spin-off of “New Fox” and the regulatory risk provisions and the related termination fee, would be at least as favorable to Fox shareholders as the Disneyoffer.
While no final decision has been made, at this point the work to finance the all-cash offer and make the key regulatory filings is well advanced.”

Currently, Disney and Fox’s shareholders are scheduled to meet this summer and vote on whether that particular acquisition offer is to the liking of all parties. Obviously, $52.4 billion in Disney stock is nothing to sneeze at, but Comcast’s decision to bring cold hard cash to the table is a bold move that can’t be ignored. This isn’t actually the first time that Comcast has made a bid for Fox’s assets, though previous negotiations stalled due to serious antitrust concerns. But with AT&T and Time Warner’s potential merger looking more and more like it’s going to happen, there’s a chance that another deal between Comcast and Fox might not draw as much concern.

All of this really boils down to these companies needing to buff out their catalogs of content in order to prepare for the future of entertainment: streaming. Disney’s got a service in the works, Comcast wants to grow theirs, and now Fox has to decide which suitor it wants to take to the ball.

Yeah, this is like the difference between an actor being paid a flat fee (ComCast) or a percentage (Disney)

While a flat fee may seem like a good option if you want a large amount of money at once, having a percentage can net you a greater reward over time, and with it being Disney, can't really see it going down in value

Bad guys get to have all the fun and can get away with chewing up the scenery a LOT more than the heroes, so of course it's more fun to play the bad guy. :D

True, true, but I feel like Jake's talents are being wasted, that's all.

And of course, stupid Comcast. I know they're trying to improve their business but they need to back the hell up

Just a reminder of how things may not go the way we hope.

The main problem people are having is in not realizing that what FOX (21st Century Fox Corporation, to be specific) is selling are separate whole companies, not pieces of one big company.

Jared Leto Celebrates His Morbius Role With New Instagram Post

Earlier today, the Marvel fandom was left utterly surprised by the announcement that Suicide Squad actor Jared Leto was set to star in Sony’s Spider-Man spinoff film, Morbius. But if there was any doubt that the project wasn’t official, Jared Leto put those worries to rest by celebrating his role as the Living Vampire.
The actor shared an image of the character on his Instagram page, along with the simple caption of a black heart. This is essentially all the confirmation we need on the actor’s part to let us know that the project is truly happening, and that Leto is truly enamored with the role.

It’s also possible that Leto gave us a possible hint as to the movie’s direction. The image the actor shared is actually the cover of the 2012 Marvel NOW! series Morbius: The Living Vampire by Joe Keatinge and Richard Elson. The series saw the Spider-Man villain escape from prison and seek redemption in the crime-ridden streets of Brownsville.
With the film set to explore the character as an antihero instead of a villain, it’s entirely possible that this comic book series served as inspiration for Sony’s Morbius movie.

Sony’s Spider-Man spinoff film Morbius will be directed by Daniel Espinosa from a screenplay by Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama. The film does not currently have a release date.

Or maybe, and more likely, Leto is an idiot and posting random crap because he's an idiot
    Morbius isn't a villain, if anything, he's an anti-hero
