Macro-ing/Cheat-engine to death in legends ?

Personally I would like to see an official stance from SOE on macro-ing ? is it as 'intended' so i guess people who clearly are abusing the system that clearly are doing superdamage and clearing breaking immunities in legends/arenas is fair ?

If the macro is programmed to run an entire combo at a faster-than-normal rate, yes, it is wrong. If caught, the offending player would be suspended/banned.

    Or the player could be better then you, and your first response to assume they are cheating. Happens ALLLL the time with new players.;

Otherwise Illunis is correct. The obvious ones are BB + POWER MACROES atm.

I am not a new player and thx for your vote of confidence/assumption but I did submit a ticket with video evidence showing two players clearly using macros(one of them) and other using cheat engine admitting in chat. They clearly were doing bbing super fast and super dmg. One of them has been know for years for hacking and yet his account or toon name still comes back. Eitherway, I would like to see an official statement on SOE's stance on macro's.

Ah. If that's the case, we'll be seeing those guys on the forums soon......

The response on here will say macros are legal. However dealing with the email customer service it's different case. my conclusion, nobody knows what the hell they are doing when it comes to this crap.

On a side note, devs might want to observe legends 2vs2's.. we have quite a few robots queuing up right now..
I'm surprised legends fridays hasn't exposed anyone yet.. but it's coming.

If anyone wants names like me know, im sure ProSieb would be intersted.. I'm joking.

I beg to differ and i am not assuming either, the devs have already answered this on the old forums. I don't owe anyone a vote of confidence if I haven't played with them, and definately not when their main moves were CB and transmute.

    sorry

This, also people use normal macroing for HL combos so they dont miss steps and can clip jump out of some of the hard animations, I always keep 2 eyes on HL saps.

Lol at people using macros in Arena or Legends. Once you see the same combo 3-4 times it should be easy enough to read and counter. Cheating doesn't occur as much as people like to think, or maybe I run into it alot and it just doesn't help my opponents--who really knows?

Marcros are allowed unless they are made faster than humanly possible. Things like macroing blockbreakers are allowed(to my knowledge) but it just shows how bad a player is that they have to resort to that to win...

Honestly, I don't know how anyone who plays legends, especially thursday - monday can say they don't see any dragon ball z action going on in the 2 vs 2 and 4vs 4 maps. it's pretty bad particulary on the weekends.

Macros are fine. I dont want to advertise it but it's that other program people use, y'know the one that causes matches to end before the timer hits zero with odd scores like 300 something to 100 something or whatever with 2-4 minutes left on the game clock. The same thing that allows your opponents to have like 2 sec rally timers and subtile things like that..

want a nice example. queue for 4's right now

Macros would be predictable I would think, but when you hear of a lone player with a sliver of health left take out 3 full hp people in 30s, and not take any damage themselves...something is wrong.

I assume this whole macro cheating thing is only on pc? I ask because most of my remaining feats are pvp now so unfortunately I have to start doing more pvp if I want more sp. Never really got into the whole pvp thing so as far as cheating I have no clue if people can cheat on ps3 as well as pc.

Is that so? I kind of wondered why it seemed odd that a few people from 1 league in particular had shorter matches vs other groups that I've gone up against and it's always in BC & Inner 2v2 that the match would always end with 1:58 left on the clock but any other group it goes the full 15 minutes.

So wait what people can cheat on ps3 ? This is unwelcome news indeed. I always knew that pc was hackable and ripe for cheating but I always figured the ps3 was safe. Come to think about it I did play a few legends matches where this one particular dude seemed to bust out a ridiculous amount of combos on me to point where I was basically just frozen for like 30 seconds

They already have in the past released statements, each time it entails that macros are allowed as long as they don't adjust the normal game speed, ie make you able to complete functions/combos etc that a human couldn't. You can have a macro to do staff focus spin continually but you can't set it so that its 0.1 faster between focus spins because that's altering the game speed. People using macros are blatantly obvious and if you interrupt the macro it takes a moment to start up again. Now in legends if you're seeing something like speed hacking where you would receive large amounts of dmg in bursts that falls under the cheat engine etc. Sometimes it appears as lag because of your server latency, which is why its better just to report it and let soe take a look at game logs etc.

Macro's don't have to be long, but they do make the game problematic. I've seen plenty of suspicious Harley's that can Hammer Spin - Block Breaker - Backflip perfectly with the same timing for each attack every time. And the thing is, if you interrupt their block breaker, by the time they stand up again, their macro went through the backflip already.

It's one reason I don't trust people who block a lot and pretty much only use that for hard stuns. They tend to do massive combos, usually very few. At that point you really don't need your real skill. You just sit there, block or attack from time to time, and once a hard stun happens, BAM, this epic combo that they didn't try at any other point that they always pull off perfectly.

I just don't think macros should be allowed because of clipping. I can't tell if it's lag that the block breaker was front loaded for my opponent when it is never front loaded when I do it, or if it's macro'd and it just is always getting pulled off because of it.

So people are still using macros, speed hacks, etc in PvP on the PC side.

... and people wonder why I don't PvP in this game.

Clipping is just part of the problem due to the game engine itself as it was never intended to exist. Mepps will say one thing while the GM's will say another. They need to decide if clipping is an unattended exploit brought about by the game engine itself or not.
