Lowered ceilings in Atlantis and low ceilings in general

Have you been outside the map?

What has that got to do with anything? o_O

Everything, actually. If you've been outside the map on PS you would be aware of the terrible visual glitching that typically occurs when moving outside any map.

This is the same visual glitching that has been plaguing players WITHIN the Atlantis map when they swim too high towards the boundary. In other words, the physical boundary of the map to prevent players from "leaving" the map and experiencing the visual glitching was not set low enough (and is still not low enough).

Again, lowering the ceiling is not in and of itself a fix or a solution, that's like putting one of those barricade things in front of a pot hole and saying "The problem with people falling in to a hole has been fixed!"
Like said, it's a stop gap to allow the DEV's to (hopefully) fix the visual glitch problem (don't have a PS so will possibly never experience that problem, just like will probably never experience floating outside the Watchtower)

    No need to be rude
Explained the difference between an actual fix and a stop gap

What's the stop gap that's been preventing you from hitting CR 50 for the past 7 years?

The visual glitch isn't the issue. That's normal for being outside of the map. The boundary of the map is the issue. Lowering the ceiling (correcting the boundary) is therefore not a stop gap. Expect it to be lowered further.

A Stop Gap - by definition - is a temporary solution.

The lowering of the ceiling is a permanent solution.

I have always considered being able to leave the map is a bug. It is odd to see someone insist it is not.

If my car won't shift into 4th gear setting it up so that it only stays in 3rd is not fixing the problem.. lowering the ceiling is a solution but it isn't solving the problem

Y'all shuld really work on your formulation of analogies.

They lower the ceiling, and there's no adverse affect on game play. the problem is solved.

You arrange it so your car is never going into fourth gear but are stuck driving at your best 3rd gear speeds. Your solution allows the car to be drivable, but you're still affected by the problem because you're limited to lower speeds.

these two examples are nothing like each other.

This game has way bigger problems than being able to fly really high.
