Love Seasonal Alert Issues

Why do so many players have issues when the seasonal is first launched. League mates were telling the same thing. I have yet to have issues. I soloed Freeze today again. I tell you it is all about learning mechanics, blocking lunging, etc...using shield, soda, barrels, etc...

I hate when things get nerf to make it super easy. Solo I beat him in about ten minutes. With a group of 4 and 2 focusing on freeze and the other two focusing on the machines he can be taken down in under 5 minutes.

uh..thats why the quotes genius. And your missing the point entirely. ITS NOT THAT HARD. And the emitters don't make enough of a different either way.

It was confirmed last year by Spytle that tanking him at either end of the room is strategy & not glitching. Glitching is finding some place off the map or a flaw in the 3D model where you're free from damage. This method just makes thing s less chaotic, but as you said... it's about the same difficulty either way. If his shield is up, no one can attack no matter where you are in the room. It's just 2 different methods. Players should be open to both. If one player is adamant about the kiting method and one is adamant about brute forcing it in the middle, the group will have a hard time. I always mention the kiting method before the battle starts.

fair enough..when three are fighting and the fourth is standing at the top of the stairs doing absolutely nothing to contribute..what then is the resolution? Pretty obvious to me...and the the other two that were fighting

I didn't run into issues not being able to counter Mister Freeze. I ended up running the hero version on my villain and didn't experience any issues that you're mentioning.

The issue I'm seeing is more with the players you get paired with, rather than problems with the instance. Players that don't know what to do, or don't know how to use their powers, make the instance just way harder than it needs to be, sadly.

I got this done in a pug group in less than 5 minutes, yet another pug group I had to leave b/c one guy didn't come into the fight and the other didn't actually fight Mister Freeze. So, two support roles on Mister Freeze. Not fun. I just left and got a new group.

ALL of my runs have been about 3-4 mins, except 1 run where I got into the instance at the 11 min mark and we finished it in about 2.5 mins.

Define "Stupid easy" for me... Because in my limited experience other games with seasonal stuff tended towards mini-games, like a water fight, kill the trolls, animal heading, and scavenger hunt... Simple concepts to grasp, but not something that one end game players could just stomp through in five seconds by themselves... Personally I think that "Kill adds, smash generators, burn the boss down" isn't a hard concept to grasp and as long as you don't ignore the presence of the generators the whole fight you should be fine.

When Mister Freeze pops a Reflect type shield, if you hit the shield, it will trap you and anything else, including pets.

Another seasonal I won't waste time with until it is fixed I guess...

the seasonal is not hard, yet a level 22 was trying to heal in damage role. *sigh* Whiners will be in full swing for the spring event with Swamp Thing if they think this is hard.

You cannot lung him or block break him, plus not everyone has a shield. You're being full of yourself. This is also the first year where villains or heroes can do either instance. I see issues with Freeze and a seasonal shouldn't be difficult. It's true it not hard, but it's meant to be ease and simple to do. Not cause frustration or problems.

It's extremely easy to avoid.

Look for the skulls: in a second he'll put up his ice shield. Anyone who attacks him while it's up, no matter where they are in the room, will get encased. All you have to do to avoid getting is encased is to stop attacking him until his shield goes back down.

If any type of attack hits him, you get encased. It could be an AoE carpet you lay down. If you're ice, it even reflects your reflect! But he does it at pretty fixed intervals, skull icon aside. If the whole group gets encased, it really extends in the instance time as you lose a few seconds to attack him.

Not going to lie...I have never noticed that...I'll def look for it tomorrow
