Dcuo has been one of the greatest games i have ever play but as of late it has gotten quiet boring
With gu 47 I was able to make so many alts and enjoy them i did that before GU 47.
but it was the most fun thing for me too do.

Now its boring I get on my high Cr toon run the raid get lock loot and once again nothing to do
Boring unless i buy replays and reset the raids which i really don't wanna waste my money on.

To me i am losing Interest in dcuo you can't really get too many marks is solo's or duo's anymore
Alert you get about 6 with the cr system You can't really go back and get too many marks

Which you need too buy styles with So you can't even get skill points so yep i am gonna offically say it someone gonna point out.

i am gonna say it gonna bite my own words The New Mark system Does indeed suck yes you see it with you're own eyes i finally said it.

i get the reason why they made the mark system but i think they did it kinda too late.
With the Tier system kinda wasted it they should have done this way earlier when we had a bigger Community

This game use to be one of my favorites The Am's are boring no longer Creative at all i remember back in 2011

i made my own rotation now i gotta copy everyone else's
We had a reason for our movements We had races we haven't had any new races in a long time."

skill points like i said before you needed them to make you're character stronger that is no longer the case
i just need to get all crits and that's it Whoa what fun" not really.

we had walk ins for everything to me 2011-2014 once WM which at first i didn't mind wm when it came into game cause it was different but with it And the Am

it just to the creative system away from me.

and with the score card People are always asking for things to be nerf 2011 We just cared to beat the boss

i am not offically done with dcuo just as of yet i am gonna think about it cause once i hit that button to uninstall the game i am done with it. But too me i am losing interest it.

i have enjoy dcuo for the past 4 years
its just getting harder and harder too long on Too something i barley enjoy anymore.

I don't think anyone's really enjoying this Summer. But I am happy for today at least, that I get to get those courthouse feats I missed.

I'm getting pretty bored of it too and I've only been playing it for 4 months. I'm mostly sick of the vault because there's never any good drops in it.

Almost my entire league has gone over to EOS, so I am splitting time between here and there.

It's too bad because DCUO is intrinsically a much better game (except for the crafting).

Funny thing though, you don't hear the players over there moaning about the fact that you can't level up in a couple of days. Perhaps if the leveling in this game weren't SO fast and if modding/crafting/skill points were bigger factors, players wouldn't be quite so bored.

It's just my opinion but I think the game has crossed a line and is catering TOO much to the casual player.

I'm not sure how good an idea the monthly content will be but remember players start moaning about lack of content on the three month DLCS a couple of weeks in because they replay it to death rushing to gear up. I don't think the answers lie in the distribution model of new content. That is just a band-aid.

I think that there need to be conversations within the DEV team about the APPROACH of the game going forward. It's pretty clear that the game has reached a technical glass ceiling because of the limitations of the PS3. There are simply things that cannot be done with the game because of those limitations. I'm not suggesting dropping the PS3 support at this time but something needs to be done to remove PS3 limitations. Random/Open world missions would greatly improve the experience but the older console simply could not handle the additional load.

The game is now in it's fifth year and some hard decisions in this area need to happen.

thats another thing pushing ppl away is ppl getting fed up with devs catering to PS3, YES PS3 made DCUO last this long or helped it last this long rather. But come the hell on they and everyone including the PS3 ppl KNOW PS3 is holding DCUO back.

hell I knew that and thats why I upgraded when I did, b/c I was hoping the PS3 would be dropped sooner then later.

DBG wont keep ppl if they keep crippling they're own gaming experience. JS

Glossing over the PS3 stuff is that's a hornets nest I'd rather not rattle any further... I think they really need to look at other MMOs then come back to their own and not ask themselves what did the other MMOs do that we can do, but what makes DC stand out, what do player get from DC that they don't get from other MMOs, and double down on that. Players do not benefit from this homogeneous **** pile that represents the state of modern MMOs. I don't want World of Batman and honestly I think the devs should just tell anyone that wants that to **** off and put their imagination to use when playing some other MMO rather than sacrifice what's great about DC.

Issue currently imo is a myriad of issues that have combined to create a drop in active players. Waiting 3 months for 1 month of content and also GU47 effects on the mid tiers in particular seem to be some of the more vocal reasons for recent drop in play time (other than new releases but there are always new games and I play on PC so ESO on PS is a non-issue).

Personally I've been playing a bit of The Secret World which I'm considering playing through again as a different faction as it's been a while, not really sure what's new. Also tried Tera again, but doubt I can get into it, not a fan of the art style and don't get me started on the state of the female characters o_O Still subbed to DC, but I really hope they stick their focus of what makes DCUO a great game (which isn't the DC licence, not at all for me; if anything it's a negative although I'm aware that makes me a minority).

I think they should ALSO look at what made DCUO a great game. Sometimes a return to core values is called for. In baseball when a hitter is in a slump they try to go back to basics and "take the ball back up the middle". In the case of DCUO it would not be a bad idea to review the things that pulled players in to begin with and reinforce that. Yes I agree with your point. ALWAYS keep an eye on the competition!

Yes it is a hornet's nest but the PS3 is a roadblock to development. There are two ways to address this. One is to limit/cut PS3 support by making new content playable on the PS4 only. OR the developers/coders get creative by giving PS3 players REAL tools to set the game so that it does not tax the console so much. REAL adjustments to graphics would be a good start. More efficient memory swapping would be another. Those are only stop gaps though. At some point they are going to either have to drop the PS3 entirely or release a PS4 only version of the game and support two versions of DCUO.

Well for me I been quite entertaining with other games and mmorpgs
    I currently own:
Batman: arkham knight along with the season pass
    J-stars victory vs. +
And have a brand new latop which allows me to play vindictus which is a great mmo so far
At the moment I have nothing else to do but wait for the next episode or dlc because it became really boring lately
Why the heck did they brought back that courthouse map of legends that was awful...

Really after This Update I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I parsed Some of the best loadouts I could come up with, And IF HL isn't line.. Not sure what i'm going to do. Everyone on test has contributed plenty to trying to get electric, nature, and hl balanced.
PS: i know mepps said the dev team was off for a WEEK. But it's been almost 2 weeks without feedback. that's concering

Yep, i feel boredom seeping in also.

Haven't even done any of the new Ace chem LPve feats, there's no point in them. Gaining 2 SP means nothing, especially when the feats are really boring, time consuming and result in very miniscule stat increases. The only reason to do feats anymore is for the challenge.

I'm just waiting till new DLC hits, bombshells doesn't interest me at all but i thought i might as well try it. If i don't like it i'm going to take a break till atomic gets some limelight.

I haven't logged in in weeks. For me it isn't about boring but the general direction the devs have taken since Daybreak took the reigns on DCUO.

Since they became involved, we've see some horrible business choices. Diminishing the rewards of older content with the "relevancy" system also diminishes the VALUE of the content. With a little help, players can run up their CR in a day high enough to make the content obsolete in just 1 day. I don't know about anyone else, but producing a product that virtually becomes obsolete in a matter of hours hardly seem worth the investment. Of course, unless someone in the game shares this info, you don't know this will happen until AFTER you've already purchased it.

Plans have been announced recently that T4 Duos will be coming. They will be a rehashing of existing LVL 30 mentor missions. If this is what Monthly Updates are going to be...regurgitated instances with little or no relevancy to higher tiered players...there doesn't seem much reason to get excited about the new monthly content format.

GU47 has effectively broken the most basic of principles...progression being detrimental. This was blatantly apparent when players were DELIBERATELY trying to avoid leveling up their CR when New Genesis content dropped. Couple that with relevancy changes and it's no wonder players began leaving in droves. It was a sure fire path to boredom because, despite how much you may enjoy the game, you were limited to JUST that content if you wanted to make ANY progress in very little time. No one likes to be FORCED into a small window of opportunity...but here we are.

There has always been a huge potential for this game given that it's based on a license with over 75 years of defined and popular history. Sadly, we've been waiting for this potential only to see rehashed maps, a lack of substantial open world content being added for years and a CR leveling system that has been broken for just as long.

Again, IMHO, boredom isn't the issue. People want something new, challenging and reasonably exiting enough to keep them involved. DCUO hasn't really offered much of that for at least a year.

Yes, there need to be changes made in the game, but I'm not going to waste my breath thinking any of them I or anyone else suggest will be listened to. The developers of this game take up to a year to design and introduce content. Their plans are already set in stone long before we even get a hint of the future content, changes and updates. In recent months, those plans have resulted in a shrinking community.

Bottom line....Daybreak Games and the DCUO development team are not putting in the proper effort to either gain new players or keep existing players involved. They have come to EXPECT us to stay with them and that our loyalty will sustain their business.

I know in the real world it doesn't matter very much but I've been playing since PS beta, seen and survived the growing pains and occasional shining moments that can occur in this game, been a "fanboy" and made some truly great friends in my time playing DCUO. But it's been an effort to find a valid reason to continue any further. The sub runs out next month but I've been done for a while.

Too bad. Something that started out with a vast open environment has been reduce to restricted, rehashed and limited.

To all you you here on the forum and on the USPS server I have crossed paths with along this journey, thank you for your friendships, fun times and even the heated debates. It was fun while it lasted.

Rapid made extremely spot on points, 3 days ago I did something I didn't think I'd ever do. I renewed my final fantasy 14 sub even bought the expansion pack. I've had more fun relearning the play style and content over the last 2 days than I've had on dcuo in the last 6 months or longer maybe. I'm not saying I want to hang up my cape and ss off into the sunset but my DC sub expires in 18 days. I haven't even accessed ff14s expansion content yet and have decided to take an extended hiatus. I'll check in on the forums every so often to see if there's any improvements but if not the azure tower (my main lair) will go lights out. Peace peeps hope things turn out for the better ~ McKayla

That's exactly what I'm doing. I only played 1 month of ff14 and I was too lazy to repay the sub as it isn't as simple as dc (mogstation and that stuff) so I came back to dc. My dcuo sub expired 1 week ago and now I'm playing ff14. And you're right doing or planning anything on ff is much funnier than all I've done on dc the last months I played. I'll still be over here though, just to see what happens to dc; I'm not expecting anything good.
