Living legends FNL Tourneys. I want your input.

So I was thinking of holding a themed tourney, what would you like to see?

Bat Family legends toons only?

Super Family toons only?

Wonder Family toons only?

Light Family toons only?


Other suggestions welcomed.

While on the topic what is your favorite Legends map for 2v2's?

Super Family probably has the most balance across the board, but there's only 4 characters to choose from (2 which are MP).

For themes:

• Super-themed tourny - Would probably be the most balanced if Bizarro/lex were excluded, would be pretty interesting as well.
• Bat-family - Could also be interesting though TF/Bane/CW are quite a lot better than the majority of the bat toons. I know you & the devs don't like restricting chars too much so this would probably be out of the question.

For 2v2 maps:

Batcave and inner sanctum are by far the best competitive maps for the game mode, lair battles are over far too quickly to determine who the better players are, the camera can often be a pain & the fact it is only determined on the first person to get knocked makes it poor for a competitive 2v2 map.

As for the pros and cons:

Batcave -

• Pros: Great combination of strict 2v2 combat, positional awareness regarding kiting/pulling people off of the node/making sure you hold the node as well as positioning during fights & map awareness/control (controlling barrel spawns, using turrets etc.)
• Cons: Respawn timers can make a big difference in the score

Inner Sanctum-

• Pros: Great combination of both 2v2 and 1v1 combat, respawn timers are usually less of an issue
• Cons: Minimal map control required (only health barrels around)

Idea for a new competitive 2v2 map:


The only kind of extra 2v2 map we need now is a DM map like lair battles that is:

1. In a much larger arena
2. There are no rounds
3. Everything is reset and replenished after both players on one team are K.Od
4. Any re-spawned players cannot re-enter the arena until one team has been fully K.Od and everyone who was K.Od has been re-spawned.
5. 75 points per kill (so that there is a way of distinguishing a close 1 player left win and a win where one team has both members left standing)
6. 10-minutes per map so same length as Inner.

Where as Batcave is the map that includes everything, inner sanctum is more of a middle ground with small amounts of map control but more focus on combat as well as more opportunities for two 1v1s to occur. The proposed map would give us a DM option that would be more balanced than lair battles. It also has mechanics in place to prevent one team winning and then instantly losing after due to low health/low power/cooldowns.

This could easily be set in Oan Sciencells as the initial spawn area can be split into two for holding re-spawned players until the fights are over and the arena itself would be more than large enough.

I consider Lex, as part of the superman family, since he is a villain vs superman. So you would have Supes, powergirl, uras, zod, bizzaro and lex.

Well since we just had WOTL, my vote would be for a Lantern-themed tourney. You have tons of people to choose from, too:

Jon Stewart
Killowog
Sinestro
Arkillo
Amon Sur
Atrocitus
Saint Walker

Plenty of options for different people with different DLC/MP Legends to join in the fun.

Would you also consider Steel then?

Well at least he's more balanced now, but Lex/Biz/Steel are definitely better than Supes/Pg/Ursa/Zod by quite a long way so it'd turn into a three char tourny

I guess kryptonian-themed would be interesting, force everyone to play lower tier

I'd rather see Themed teams of their choosing than just seeing the same chars fight against eachother.

Just approved Teams would be solid.

Anything that would be an obvious team is allowed.

Of course Joker/Harley, and Batman/robin.

But also any green/blue lantern combination or any Yellow Lantern Combo.

Or even a little JLA action with Superman/Jstewart, or WW/Jstewart.

I'd even allow a Stretch and go Catwoman/Batman.

It'd leave some lone wolves out though, I mean who would Bane Team with? What about Bane? But ohh well, you'd get a lot of different thematic teams, it'd be cool.

I'd have to bet that we'd see a WHOLE LOT of the right side of that picture. And very few of the left side.

You're doing the work, so by all maens do whatever you want. But I just think you'll see a whole bunch of people picking the Villains because they are the ones that are OP right now. CW/Bane being pretty ok but still above most. And 2face...

The hero side would be Huntress/Batman being the best options? Batman being one of the better options! Batman!

Props to anyone going deep with Robin, Tharkis is probably the only guys I know who plays Robin.

But then you'd just show off and beat everyone with Superman. Don't lie you know you would.

I realize they are mostly marketplace legends, but you could do mentors only. Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Lex, Joker, Circe.
