As long as the enemy targeted with one of the poison spreaders, Harvest, the canine form attacks, etc, has the poison DoTs, they will be spread to all enemies in range.
I have not had a chance to run any content with it. Busy weekend my self lol. I do plan on running through some stuff tomorrow though and then I should have a good idea of how well the power regen works.
So this is the first time I've ever studied the combat logs. VB keeps targets Electrified, so you never need to recast AL on the same group of targets for Electrocute.
Yes. On live Arc Lightning is usually cast to activate the power return for VB as it has a higher power cost, but with there no longer being restrictions on order for power regen it is not needed.
Maybe adding a Electrified P.I applicator to E.burst and Electrogenesis makes the AM faster. If they boost Tesla ball adding it into the AM in terms of damage and power regen or/and adding a burst to VB we can stay competitive.
Did some testing on the power regen aspect on test server.....not the best. In a nut shell we will be in the same state power wise as we are now...so there is no benefit for us with it. You will still need a troll and will still need to pop a cola. That also means that is you follow Kaiser007's vid of max dot then WM >VB in a raid you will run out of power before the boss runs out of life. I will post a vid in a bit of my Fire test and the Electric test i did on the dummies....the electric pretty much is the same as the one above but a side by side (since they are popular) may give a good representation of where we are at and where we are trying to get. Now I just have to figure out how to get it done lol
I have the side by side of Fire and Electric on the dummies uploading to youtube...will be a bit though. I figured out how to do it with Adobe After Effects and the vid ended up being 11 gigs O_O So it is taking a bit to upload. As soon as I have it done though I will post it. The stats from it however are Fire 3 dummies 88.6 seconds 34,038 dps.......Electric 138.2 seconds 22,802 dps. Now just to be up front this is the power spam loadout not one with WM like Kaiser007. That one however was 96 seconds 31,143. I am hoping that we can get the Pure AM up to the AM's of others. I know a lot of us do not care for WM and that the AM is supposed to be alternate to it and still able to keep up with it. Pure AM wise though we are pretty far off the mark but Am + WM not too bad...just boring and very power hungry.
Agree, i see your ideas on the test server thread and i totally think the same. We need that extra things like Nature's Carnage+Serpent call in wolf form to play purely from the power bar like other AM's. Maybe adding Tesla ball, SW or Arc lightning to the AM or while Wired is up like the example of Nature i wrote above. I think Wired suits better that change to solve the long cooldown E.genesis+Arc combo has. Sorry for the long text, thanks for your work (and others) on the test server.
Here is the difference currently between Fire and Electric AM no weapon attacks on test. Note that the damage is a bit inflated due to the dummies being used. Mods are all 7's Reds all Might, Yellows and Blues Might/Power, and Might/Health. Home Turf Mods are standard- Blast for weapon, Max Damage for hands, Might for neck, and Core for chest.
I dislike using weapons to supplement the damage as well. However there aren't any well thought out improvements how to get rid of weapon combo clipping. The only thing that comes to mind is giving solar flame a castbar. However I think if we got one power completely overhauled and given a longer cast time and two or three ticks of damage that would discourage the clipping. For example static push could use three hits - first one or two to deal lesser damage and on third to give a bigger blow. Or making the dot refresh rate shorter. But this would bring more problems I suppose. Or setting so that a player can't have dot's running if he uses weapon damage. Precision damage cancels out the dots. However that would mean electricity would need a range of powers to work well with MW. And having a seperate DoT for to supplement weapon damage. Also for DoTs I think we should have a shortcut when we're in closer range. Electroburst in the 12m range could induce two dots and one dot outside if the player is outside of the 12m range. (It would be great if someone quoted me on the test threat, being premium has its drawbacks )
The way the AM is designed to work is for you to get your max Dot with one rotation. Eburst>Egen>Arc>VB. You can through Ecute into the mix for some extra dots, but following that rotation you can get max dot done pretty quick. The issue is that the dot is a bit weak and the burst from the powers that set it up are a bit weak also. If the Dot damage is increased that is a step in the right direction. Another step would be to increase the burst on the powers that make up the Dots. We already have a bit of that with Egen>Arc combo. IF we could get some bonus damage off of...lets say an Arc>VB combo that would help. All that would have to happen is for a power or a power combo (like the ones listed) to do the same damage as a WM combo that takes the same damage as the cast time of the power combo. Also Electric has an ENTIRE tree that works great with WM...all of the polarized powers work well with WM. Most (unless they have changed) used WM+ Static Push, but you can use Ebomb, SW, TB, and a slew of others. The only powers you need to avoid are the dot powers. I will quote you to the test server though.
That's correct, VB will refresh the PI as well as maintaining the AM, ... I was gonna mentioned that after you posted Kaiser video, unfortunately I didn't get to it till now Also AL benefits from WM so you can actually use WM>AL to get some nice crits before moving into AM planet On a side WM note, my understanding is that Wired will activate the power return mechanic, ....which means you can do WM and get power back?
If you don't mind I'll answer you here since I don't have access to the test server forums after Daybreak took over DCUO. Only wanted to point that HB/VB or HB/SW spam is viable with a solo troller since the power regeneration is fast enough. The good thing about Nature or Elec is that they can make a very good use of weapon attacks, in my case, I like using Solar Flame (non-mastered combo).
I'm not sure if spamming VB more than is needed to maintain the DoT is good for Dps. Each cast of VB resets the time till the next DoT tick to 1 sec, and while this doesn't mean much a when used sparingly it does add up to less DoT when used spammingly. There also might be an extra delay beyond the 1 sec as Sore found that casting harvest resulted about a 1.2 sec delay instead of 1 sec. While I haven't checked to see if VB has the same delay, the only difference between Harvest and VB is that VB is AoE and Harvest is pure single target. I'm not saying it definitely isn't, but it is likely worth looking into seeing if not using VB every combo boosts Dps.
There may be some type of delay i am not sure. i do know that as much as I cast arc>vb I still see my dots rolling....so I would say that it does not delay them much if at all. However it would be good to test it out. I will have to take a peek at some logs and see how often it is ticking.
