Regardless if you use WM or AM 75% or more of your damage is coming from weapon attacks. The only place I see there is any choice is using precision & might versus straight precision in reds. Blues and yellows are always going to be precision until there is change with the way might and precision scale and WM damage is adjusted.

In terms of the chart I wanted to reiterate that it is a reflection of the best player in each category not a reflection of all players in the category.

Someone else had made mentioned of Galvanize not healing correctly. I was unable to duplicate it. I captured this to show the whole team getting healed:

I believe that Galv can heal up to 16, so that would be a lot of pets to steal the heals. Maybe it's less than 16. I've seen in the final fight of TD, where I'd keep many of the girls alive, that sometimes Galvanize wouldn't heal team mates. I've not seen that issue in any of the new content though.

Your video doesn't have the tank taking any damage. I am talking typically about the tank needing the heal but can't recieve it due to him/her having too high of health compared to the rest of the group. Say the Tank is at 80%, you want to place the Galvanize HoT on him and burst him to full health, you get next to him with the rest of the group still in range of Galvanize, you hit it... nothing. His health is still at 80% and he didn't get the HoT. My league has mostly Fire tanks with some of them getting over 20k health when they pop a power. At 80% health they still have too high of health compared to the rest of the group to recieve the heal from Galvanize. An easy place to test it is in the Necro, Artifact, or Nexus Hallways with the Tank being the only one taking damage. I am Sorcery now and can no longer test so... Solo healed Lockdown last night after one day of switching from Electric, HoT are real nice. Especially when I have full control of who gets them. ;)

Since I'm mostly a soloist, I tend to be more about burst... there isn't too many solo bosses that require a lengthy DoT setup with the AM, although I may toy with the AM at some point and see how it goes vs burst. I also am thinking about trying the 'Best of Both Worlds' loadout as well. I can't help but think that since I'll be utilizing Nitro soders and Might trinket, which will give me a big Might buff, that going with Precision in the Blue and Yellow slots might be the best option.

Yeah I noticed this too so I took it out my loadout..its behaving like the reserve tank mod. If a fire or rage tanks health has taken damage and their health still exceeds the grp member it wont heal them

Rage is a special kind of healing, if their health is up and they rage crash hard, no amount of healing will make a difference. But I didn't think healers could heal their reserve pool, just their main health pool? Fire should be just like Earth and Ice.

Galvanize also works on an echo effect. If a player needs healing and is in range, he gets a heal then echos. In Blklightning's vid, if you slow it down heavily, it appears Heartofsky gets a heal, Engineer gets a heal which likely echos to Phantom Static and Heartofsky. Then Engineer gets a heal back from either Phantom Static or Heartofsky. If Engineer had been full health, there is a possibility that Phantom Static might not have gotten healed.

I'm more concerned over it not healing tanks. I have literally been in patty cake distance from the tank before with his health below 75% and he won't get the heal from Galvanize. I have had group members be in range of the Galvanize heal while being next to the tank and have only been in range of the tank before and it still won't hit them sometimes.

Edit: If a Rage tank crashes, Surge>Bio-Cap>Surge>Galvanize should make enough of a difference to keep them alive long enough to activate their rage mode again. Bio Caps safety net wouda probably have gone off as well so there's another heal to add.

I record most of the raids that I run. I just reviewed a bit of me healing pets near the tank (keeps things more fun for me). There were times when the tank needed the heal, but did not, and times when he did. It seemed to be w/ the amount of pets.

Eventually, I'll run the vid through frame by frame and get a solid idea of the problem, then see if I can get a dev to respond.

I thought NPCs were supposed to echo. If they don't, then they can stop the healing waves. Always good to ask Sore in the Nature thread as he got it straight from Tunso how Cross Pollination should work
  10. blklightning New Player

NPCs are part of the echo, yes. I've got video of healing happening and not happening. Just have to parse it out and put it together.

Max Damage coming soon, I might go back to shockwave. This hand mod does gives burst loadouts more options than a cookie cutter loadout.

yeah I was experimenting with Spark Barrage on the test server and it was hitting very hard.... unfortunately it still does have line of sight issues.

I played about with SB after the revamp and was really impressed with it, on a polarised target at point blank range I'd go as far as say it's one of our most damaging attacks. The problem is it's not very reliable when used at range.

I've recently started incorporating Tesla Ball into my standard WM/SP spam and am really impressed with it. It doesn't appear to split so on more than 2 targets does more damage than SP. I alternate between SP and TB after each WM combo (throw the odd arc lightning in there on larger groups) and am very happy with the results.

Loadout; Wired, SP, TB, Circuit Breaker, Ionic Drain and Arc Lightning.

After running some content with Max Damage i was very unimpressed by shockwave and spark barrage.
On the other hand ebomb now hits as hard as static push, and I've seen some decent numbers coming out of megavolt as well.

I'm a bit gutted to hear that about SW and SB. I had hoped the max damage mod would open up a lot more variations for us. But great about ebomb, ebomb was always one of my favourite powers, love the knock up and pull in effect but was always put off by the 45% modifier, why use 45 when you can use 50 right? No such restrictions now :)

Thinking about making the switch to electric. Wanna use wm and burst powers. Any suggestions and whats the difference in damage out between the am and wm? Thanks

Finally bought a 2nd armory for this toon (alt) and got the healer role set up. I have been saving gear over the last couple weeks that my DPS didn't need.

I've never ran healer before, all other toons are different roles. What's a good entry level loadout?

Check out my portion of the guide on the first page.

    Your safest loadout will be:
Surge, Cap, Flux, Arc, Galv, SC of choice

The details of how the healing interactions are explained in my part of the guide, but feel free to ask any questions. I loooooooove to show off electric healing. xD

Thanks for the reply, I can't tell you how many times I've read the healing section on page 1 lol. It's all so brand new that I'm not sure I'm absorbing it all. I just need to jump in and try it.
