Over the course of the past few weeks ive tried each and every healing powerset in healer role and have come to realize that electric may need some work. As celestial sorcery and nature ive had no problems solo healing paradox with 2-4 sub bosses up with nature and sorcery being completely foreign to me. With electric being my first powerset and the one I have the most experience with is also the one I had the most trouble healing paradox multiple subs with. Reasons for that are the proximity i have to be to heal effectively, the amount of power required to put out decent heals, and sometimes it seems my heals would miss some individuals in my group specifically galvanize(IN A BOSS BEING PILLAR TANKED SITUATION), and an overall inability to crit heal as high as other the healing powers. What i suggest is that electric gets higher base heals and a power cost reduction. Any further suggestions or CONSTRUCTIVE feedback on what ive posted here can be posted below
And electric needs something done about its poor dpsing Ive been on here for weeks trying to get help good luck
For dps i'd recommend electrogenesis, electrostatic bomb, wired, electrocute, overcharge, and static push. Static push sets up the power interaction for electrocute and electrostatic bomb. Overcharge works best on bosses especially the first and last bosses of nexus. For adds I swap out overcharge for spark barrage because overcharge is next to useless if the adds don't live long enough to explode. Also clipping electrogenesis and electrocute animations with wired and karmic hexes is highly recommended and pretty much eliminates the need for phase dodge as wired and electrigenesis have very close cooldown times. This is what i personally use in T5 content and put out damage not far off from the all other powersets unless there is a major power issue.
I'd say the biggest problems are a lack of reliable shielding and HoTs. A safety net is nowhere near as effective as a four man shield in my opinion. Your teammates will still die if they get hit hard when they have 36% health or if the nets decide they don't want to go off. Having electrogenesis be your entire HoT game is pretty annoying too. Constantly using burst heals is a huge power drain. Does anyone actually use Electroburst for healing? I really want to use it, but I can't stand that it require a PI setup and has such awful range.
Bio-surge, flux, electrogenesis, bio-cap, group trans, galvanize. I use bio-cap n bio-surge more than anything... Shields when needed n I use electrogenesis when the cooldowns up (not always though)... Galvanize is nice when the group gets sucked into one area er is u are near them... I've used this loadout pretty much since I was t2 n it has worked beautifully for me... I just Soloed nex a day ago er so...
Over time, I have noticed that electric heals are about half as power efficient as the other healer powers. I think a 50% cut in healing power cost is fair. I like the amount of heals electricity puts out, though. It should be the efficient, but weak healing power.
POWER STATUS: BROKEN lt's right!! l first donated on Electro toon & now it's on the mezzanine because of power's is useless!! Earth is too OUTDATED & useless!! Gadget's interactions don't wear off any PI anymore since revamp, but Electro still does it! That should be not right. These powers still paid, so l can't understand why keep them weak? You have to revamp them or make them free. Otherwise more players, which'll buy these powers (maybe someone likes Electro too), after play'll understand they suck & leave game because of that. You lose so much income! These money could be yours, if you'll spend just some two weeks to fix these powers, to Electro & Earth can go in pair with Celestial & Rage respectively. Just in DC lore Electricity chars really badasses, in DC legends Livewire was capable to KO Supergirl, and powerful bolts even can paralyze Superman as well.
I use in my loadout Galvanize, Bio-Capacitor, Ionic Drain, Bioelectrical Surge, Electroburst (so i can deal out some kind of damage) and I swap between two supercharges...Invigorate and Group Transducer. Most of the time I use Invigorate as my main supercharge because it has both HoT as well as PoT which is good if I am in an instance where we don't have a controller. But I like Group Transducer too for the shielding while healing my team. When I run T5 raids however or any other difficult instances I will swap out Electroburst and use both supercharges in my loadout since both are a 50% supercharge and I have a chance of using either one at least 3 times with in five minutes while fighting a boss. I have all my SP put towards resto and my 86 resto trinket always on hand. Even with all this though I still sometimes fall short of healing everyone in a T5 raid. What I usually end up doing is run around the outside my group dealing out heals so as to make sure everybody gets a little bit of my heals. It is a pain. I love Electric but I agree it could use and is in need of a serious revamp.
My favorite healer is an Electric. And he always does wonderful jobs while we run raids. (Lot of times, he's solo healing) I never actually try my hands at electric healing so I can't say what's good or bad. But as far as it goes with my friend's healing, He's awesome at using it.
there is always gonna be "this one time when X did really good with electricity", but everyone knows it is a huge issue that electricity has no group shields, or more heals over time...couple that with high power costs, then you see why electricity is the worst healing power...and the dps DEFINITELY needs a buff...my goodness it is weak as heck...and to do damage close to the top dps powers, you need to use a HECK of a LOT more power than they do...so it is not only weak, but it is also inefficient...electricity needs work ASAP!!! the visuals dont need to change...they are among the best in the game...just the mechanics...smh...PLEASE work on this very soon dcuo...a loyal paying customer is BEGGING you...
Yes it does. I just stated in my comment above that Invigorate and Group Transducer are both of those things. Even they are both supercharges though ...still they are there. Flux is also a shield but its only a personal shield. Electricity does need HoT that's not a supercharge I will say that.
Never use electroburst unless its in pvp to debuff a tank. Other than that pve wise it sucks. Electric needs a better HOT or if electrogenesis covers 7 people instead of just 2.
