Lets have another Name Reclaim event Devs

First off since you have trouble reading, i clearly wrote "it isnt SOLELY about me". Of course im involved in it, thats why the thread was made. However the thread was made with reason. Its after the server merge, more names available now to everyone....not just about me.

No my math is correct. Last years name reclaim rules were if you were active within 2 years, you kept your name. So if you stopped playing 1 1/2 years before that date, you still kept your name. Its been 1 year since, so 1 + 1/12 = 2 1/2. Simple, you see? The only people who lost their names last week were people who had the exact same name on the other server.

You know with your condescending tone and snotty "deal with it" remarks, it seems like you have alotta pent up aggression. Were you kicked out of a raid today or something? Calm the heck down kid. If you dont agree with someone you can do it without an arrogant, condescending tone.

It's my typical reaction to people wanting something for themselves and try to hide behind a claim that it's for everyone. And I don't think people like that deserve any better as their attitude behind that approach has arrogance all over it.

    Now for your math:
When back than SOE announced their approach for the name reclaim last year, how much behind was the deadline compared to the date the reclaim happened? And where did you put that part in your little formula? And that's just on top of the simple fact that way more accounts than usual just recently has been active due to the crossplay merge. Lot's of accounts active that usually haven't been -> less effective name reclaim.

But it doesn't matter if you understand that; devs have first hand numbers, and I don't see them doing another reclaim just now. Which results in:

The kids will have to wait for "their" names to free up.

    Deal. With. It.

name reclaim is every 6 months or something like that if the account hasn't logged in for a period of time and it gets renamed with _ and roman numerals.

What are you 15? Youre angry for no reason. Cant tell if youre serious or trolling at this point lol

Fact is alotta people could benefit from it. If you check the majority of the posts here involve an idea with the OP also benefiting from it. The only one difference between me and them is i specifically wrote that i could benefit from it as well. So if i removed that one sentence, then what would have been your opinion? Your selective reading chose to focus solely on the second sentence. Not my fault you have selective reading.

As for the math, since you act like you work for SOE why dont you answer your own question? How much behind was the deadline? Let me guess, you somehow know the answer? I really doubt that. They said 2 years so im going off that.

I like how you keep posting inaccurate statements though and trying to pass them off as facts.

You said they got rid of all inactive toons/accounts permanently? False.
You said the toon i was looking for is 100% active and is generating money? False, theres no way to know that.

    Any more false statements?

Talking about posting false statements - where did I say the toon is generating money?

And you really fail at math.

    Let's use your numbers:

Name claim now can just cover the 2.5 years of range you claim it will if the deadline says "toons that have been inactive before today", or if you specify the range of the account to have been active within the last 2 weeks or something. Now, while SOE before and Daybreak now wouldn't do that because of e.g people with the armed forces of their country being unable to log in during that narrow time frame - and they like having these people amongst their customers, no pun or joke - it's on top the very time frame where lots of otherwise potentially inactive accounts have been activated to "save" names; some have been deliberatly kept in-active to get a name change token, these people checked after the merge if they got one so these accounts also have just been active. A name reclaim now just after an "attack" on the "ware" called names happened is highly ineffective. On top, people weren't able to check for 100% if their name was endangered, as - look it up yourself - devs repeatedly explained that the census data for the apps will be inaccurate for a time.

    a) you need a deadline at least half a year ago in order do not mess with accounts of people in the armed forces, reducing the span you suggest to the same 2 years
    b) a lot of "useless" accounts have just been active due to another name claim

This adds up to: less effective than the first name claim. No matter how much the kids want "their" names now. Which aren't theirs in the first place.

    Deal. With. It.

On a side note - I usually level up my mules to about level 8 so entering HOD/WT is easy and not by "warp to HQ". On USPS I have about 150 names on active accounts and I just lost 1 (one) with the merge. I'd really LOL if the name you want is on one of my toons :D Chances for that are BTW much better than the toon sitting on an account that would clear the name with "name claim now" :D

I noticed you only defended yourself against one of the statements i said were false, you clearly ignored the other. So you admit you were wrong about them getting rid off all inactive accounts then? Funny how you seemed so sure that they did, and now youre trying to ignore it lol.

You also ignored the fact that most people post in here make threads that they would benefit from. Take for example one you recently commented on. Someone wanted open world content & character backgrounds back because he enjoyed them. He benefits from it, yet you didnt bash him because you would like that too. So your pattern is to act like a condescending, angry little keyboard warrior if you disagree, but be a happy little boy when you agree with someone? Bipolar much?

Half the other stuff you posted cant be proven & are not facts, so i find it odd that you somehow try to act like youre a dev and think you know what they want or like. You dont. Youre not a dev. Youre just an angry little kid behind a computer. Deal with yourself before you tell others what they should do.

Name reclaiming is easy! This is how Mighty would do it:
    - If characters creation date is older than 3 months...
    - And that character is below level 10...
Then rename them! Don't even need to check last login dates, because they are irrelevant. Nor do you need to give them rename token, they can just make new character. If they are 3 months old and haven't even gotten to level 10, it means they are just sitting on that name. Sounds like a fair game to me!
