    AM combo : Celestial(Charged Dots combo), HL(continious combo) and Rage

    What kind of combo AM rage could be? it should be your question.

    Rage got 3 powers(galling eruption, lacerate and violence) that can be canceled to perform a precision based version.
    But those prec version are to weak to be used(better to clip might version of it with bloodlust).
    Referencing to the way they work on previous AM(damage multiplier after an ability, AM excluding WM), reworked AM could buffed an ability(ex:dreadfull blast) if it's used just after, or if it's clipped 1 of those prec version.
    For long range situtation i will vote for galing eruption being an AOE center at target

    I strongly dislike when people who don't use a power consistently chime in and say a power is OK because it shouldn't just be OK. Fire, earth and sorc need a looky too. Yes, its not bottom tier by no means as I can compete with anyone. But the nerf to the melee aspect of the power as well as the melee wm put rage's am into a hole. Combo that with the speed reduction of its heavy hitters and you should have a bottom tier power, but a few of us make it work and do well actually. I anxiously await the rage update. Not in dire need, but some tweaks would help and put it on par. Like gale I like wm, but I also would like to have an option for power back.

    If the same attention was given to all powers I think we'd have a slight increase in happiness across the community. I'll have to find one of the old threads for some of my suggestions.

    Biggest question a leaguemate of mine and myself have. How can you correctly implement the advance mechanic of combos as well as the rage mode. Unless the rage mode was only intended for the tank side.

    Thanks for all your comments and ideas, keep em coming. I would like to say that I agree with most when they say gailing eruption should be a target-centered aoe. As far as relentless anger goes, if the devs do not decide to bring back the old melee style of rage dpsing and instead keep us ranged then relentless anger needs to apply a dot from range distance instead of melee distance. Berserk also needs to benefit from range. I think lacerate should be replaced with another ranged power since we have an abundance of melee powers. But with all of these already existing melee powers, why not just bring back the melee side?

    Because I don't think they will make content that is melee-able (Lol). I get the high risk reward but then you will see other powers complain about how they are not able to do so and the power cycle will repearlt. I just really hope we get some viable options. Tank side really doesn't need to be touched other than the severe punishment bug that seems to have arisen.

    I think with rage's AM that you should get power and health back. But it can't be to op right? Well most AM give power over time reduce power or full power back. Well with rage in melee rage of you have to pull of successful combos to relieve the power and health back close to how remorseless recovery works. Keep raging lol. But you see enemies have counter mechanics so if you slip up you won't relieve any health or Power back and more than likely will die. That's where the risk reward comes in. Basically keep the combos going lol. MOST IMPORTANT MAKE THE REST OF RAGE'S POWER VIABLE WHO DF USES CHANNEL HATE?

    A lot of constructive ideas have been expressed. I just want to vote for the following:

    1. Rage's AM should definitely be Melee-type (!)
    2. High-risk - high-reward style. That's in the Rage's Spirit!
    3. Fast closing with the target (to be competitive with Range DPSs)
    4. Dreadful Blast has a poor animation compare to the other's powers range attacks, IMO

    P.S. When I had faced with a melee-DPSing problem, I started to use Shield Generator (yes, everytime you've used it, you need to go to Inventory and add it to loadout again, but it helps if you're fast), so maybe some kind of shield-superpower could be added or Redirected Rage be improved.

    I think rage am improvements will be awesome. Wonder if they will do something to tanks to make it op ;) lol jk but I would like if possible that when in rage mode, your rage shield (forgot the name) would direct back damage by a proportion of your dom? Idk just some wild idea

    Given how the devs just went with Celestial.

    I would say Rage revamp would include a power back mechanic and buffed combo damage.

    Anything after that would be gravy and I don't get the impression I'm going to have a lot of gravy.

    I feel better using iconic powers like heat vision then using rage's bum range dps powers....

    1. should be both melee and range, with melee doing more damage
    2. see 1.
    3.see 2.
    4. the animation itself is ok, but the time it takes to excecute is too long IMO and should be faster, also more range options would be nice
    5. a power back mechanic and some kind of interaction with plasma burn.

    The same way it was implemented when it was released. You activate rage mode, jump in to do some damage with your weapons and melee construct combos, let rage mode heal you while getting whacked for being in melee range, and make sure you are using the right construct combo at the time of the rage crash to avoid it. As far as rage mode intended to be for tanks only, there are two powers that activate rage mode. One benefits tanks by giving them control resistance while the other benefits dps' by adding an extra dot on the enemy based on damage out. If it was intended to be a tank-only mechanic then there wouldnt be a dps version of the tank power.

    Notice you said they would buff combo damage. How many ranged combos do you have on your loadout? If they do buff combo damage then that would indirectly bring back the melee style of rage since almost all of rage's combos are melee combos or ranged-into-melee combos.

    I think the devs will have to do a lot more to rage than buff damage if they are set on keeping rage ranged.

    I would like to see rage become melee again but I wouldnt be unhappy if the devs decided to keep it ranged. The only thing about keeping rage ranged is that there are only two ranged combos in the rage power trees and they are dreadful blast and eviscerating chain. If our am is called "combos" then i would like to be given more than just two combos to combo with.

    There are dot powers that can be "comboed" into precision ticks instead of might ticks but this is a conversion, not a combo. I hope the devs don't just skim through rage's am because rage actually does need quite a bit of work contrary to what the forums are saying right now.

    Power back should probably kick in once you combo plasma retch into dreadful blast, or whenever enemies are plasma burned.

    Well I thoght it was obvious that it should be both melee and range attacks. I meant it should look melee-ish. For example, like Atrocitus' "Rage Flail" in Legend's PVP or Nero's Devil Bringer's range punch from DMC4. And about Dreadful Blast: well, that's your personal opinion. I think it's just boring - a small red ball out of your hand, wow.
