Lets discuss a PvP phase 2

    Wrong. PVE gear is not broken. Effectiveness reduction, maybe, but it ain't broken against PVP players, son. The fix you suggest would make the PVP phase even more of a ghost town.

    Well then lets just agree to disagree because your argument is leading us nowhere. Wether you agree or not many pvper's do believe that pve gear and over all effectiveness against pvp players needs to be adjusted and you wont be the one who makes the call to implement the changes or not. Thats in the devs hands.

    I get that but these things aren't changes over 1 day, just a advice from a veteran ;)
    And believe me i had my share of online arguments and beefs and banns till noticed to choose my battles, but still good luck on your quest to get rid of pvp gear being obsolete by pve gear in any environment.

    No these power creep pve gear has over pvp gear is not new it happened twice now over 5 years and DBG need to come with a solid solution.
    Bigg mmo's like WoW and LoL have dealt with it now DC has, nothing new nothing special in mmo country , just need to be dealt with for the long run and acknowledge pvp as income for the possible future players and retained player base.

    Pvp atm is fixed for the 15 competitive players, yes i sad it !

    Au contraire, PVP is far from fixed. It's got a long road ahead before most PVPers are really happy.

    My apologies, i just felt like i really needed to Emphasis my view on this whole pve gear dilemma so the developers could take notice and potentially fix it.

    OMG NOOOOOOOOO FRIGGING RPS!!!!
    RPS kills 1x1! Remember that it didn't work in the past... It was removed for many reasons! Please don't make that mistake again... All they need to do is:

    - remove PVE from PVP phase (that's a thing that MUST happen and ASAP... People in PVE abuse Fire Cascade and other powers in Open World and fights only actually exist from the hero side, 20-40 heroes in full PVE support roles with DPS spamming AM against 10-20 villains, except when they're THAT bad and get wiped, but still it isn't fair that a fully PVP geared player gets killed in 1 or 2 powers from someone in PVP...it makes no sense at all)

    - increase shield vulnerability window to match with all other weapons (since you're balancing weapons and even removed aoe bb)

    - nerf heals just a little bit (from atom and fire tanks and both bug form and sorcery) to be balanced with all the dmg reduction applied recently...

    That would fix 80% of PVP.

    PvE gear shouldn't be allowed in the PvP phase, more specifically the open world aspect. It should be disabled just like it tells you in instances, take your self to PvE phase if you want PvE gear to be relevant. PvE gear can easily overpower and destroy PvP fully modded players. This has been proven time and time again

    Totally agree on literally everything! But my favs of all those are: hitting 1s in PvP if wearing any PvE piece of gear and remove or reduce CCs, especially for dps and healers.

    Yes, a few days ago I was fighting a mental guy, full PvE. He was hitting me for 8-10k with NO vulnerabiliy (no mass terror).

    Honestly, removing CC from everyone is not a good idea... Fights are lasting longer now, and inflicting stuns, knockdowns and such is essential to interrupt combos. The powers need to be balanced though. For instance, mental finisher has a initial hard stun that has huge advantage over the other powers, especially considering that you use your finisher at the end of a fight, so the opponent probably don't have power to breakout and interrupt it. What I suggest is to remove that initial stun, or give it to all other finishers (I, personally, prefer the first option). Maybe a few adjustments over dominance here and there would do the job, but there must will always be some kind of CC from melee at the very least.
    Maybe you should buy some dominance :s

    I have a bold suggestion:

    What if PVP phase had fixed stats? Everyone in PVP phase would have basically the same stats, despite of gear and SPs. This way PvE gear won't affect PvP and PvE players wouldn't need to farm PvP gear in order to be competitive.
    I've seen other games in which it works perfectly... PVPers want to have good and fair fights, to make it skill based, not gear based. Nobody likes grinding gear and pve gear won't matter. Ofc, you could still add some pvp exclusive styles and feats to motivate people to do it. Maybe have some options for roles, like choosing a preset set of stats according to your role or gameplay (for instance, a necklace that offers X precision, Y restoration, etc), and gear simply don't matter. I think it would fix a lot of things in PVP, and make it more available and fun to everyone. Guildwars 2 has that system for PvP and it works great... You can start doing PvP at lvl 3 and level up solely by doing that. Anyway, just a thought trying to get the best for all of us.

    Today i had a intersting conversation with a "Pro" guy. He beated me in a duel with pve gear cr 155, I died after 2-3 skills, normaly. (im pvp cr 100).He said that team pvp is for losers and healing roles are for g...ys, and i'm just weak. Well if he were using pvp gear i would think ok he was better but killing some1 in 2 shots that plays only pvp since 2 years and works his a..s off to get cr 100 pvp gear is a bit dumb dont you think? U can be a beast pvp player with tons of skill, but one single pve geared dumb guy that only can spam 2 skills kills you immidietaly. And the other thing many ppl thinks is that tank,healer,troll roles should be nerfed till they die in 1 shot and hit 1 dmg, best if only dps roles stay lol. Thats ridiculous. It's alot more fun if all roles play and not only dps. Tanks should be tanks,healers should be healers etc. but every single arena im in tank role and beat a dps he immidietaly rages and blame me "noob tanks, change dps, cant play etc.". Get a brain ppl (atleast some ppl) i dont mean all, if u can't win vs a tank healer or troll then get better and stop cry that every1 should be dps, there should be more difference in roles in the dcuo world, so don't even dare to tell me what should I play. I know that fire tanks heal alot and it's kinda OP, but tanks are there for surviving for damns sake, if u take heal from fire tanks it will be another dps with low dmg like earth tanks and ice, some dps guys just want to kill everythink with 2 shots, tanks are supposed to survive dmg and do lower dmg than dps classes. Earth and Ice tanks are now dps with low dmg. I would love to see a small boost for tanks and some healers, and also a bit healing reduction for fire or leave fire as it is. Games aren't all about DPS classes. I really like the new pvp update, fights aren't so fast now and one counter doesn't decide who wins the fight. Also i would love to see PVE gear not working on pvp phase, it's just ruining the fun of pvp players that work hard for their pvp gear. If it goes in the way it goes now, they will completely delete other roles and only mad DPS with pve gear will play.
