I just hope we're not pushed to the side in favor of the new Marvel game they're working on. Don't get me wrong I'll like that too but for most of us DC was our first love so I'll still be more loyal here.

I am not really planning on playing the Marvel game. I don't care for Marvel. DCUO is my home and place to crash whenever I need it.
They obviously will keep updating it, but I do hope it won't become their "least favorite child"

Could be another 5 years before we see the marvel game, its hard for me to get excited for something that far down line, hopefully ill be there for it inshallah.

Would be sick if it was a DC/Marvel mmo crossover, but either way my heart belongs to DCUO.

Until either of those option happen..... not gonna happen.

There are a lot more threads involved, but you don't have to have the companies merge to get a crossover. Usually what happens is licensing gets restricted and things can't improve unless you get both parties to agree to changes. Think crossplay restrictions.

If the character models of EP 42 are a sneak peak of what to expect from that mentioned graphical update, its more than welcome. If that is whats meant by it its a bit disappointing overall but still nice.

Is it likely to happen? Nah. I don't expect to see it.

But is it possible? Sure.

Hmmm, we can assume the "graphics upgrade" is simply the PS5 version, and its interesting to know DCUO's largest ever "expansion" is already past the planning stage and is likely being worked on right now, but where's 2022?

Its very odd for a Q1/2/3/4 Investor Presentation to skip an entire year. Even if there was a brief on 2022's plans in a previous Quarterly Presentation, there'd usually be a small update or mention.

I really hope it's a redesigned open world. It could mean giving Gotham/Metropolis a major redesign/expansion (and remove most bottled areas) or just an entirely new major city/zone. I know the devs have stated in the past that they didn't have plans on a new full-sized city, but DC can feel so empty and disconnected when the main open world isn't relevant anymore. Get people out of the HoL and back into the open world.

It'd be nice to have some things from the HoL/WT/HoD in open world too. I know we have Bank, Repair bots etc we can use but some more vendors in Gotham/Metro or wherever would keep us outside more I'd imagine and more engaged.

This is what I told everyone it was gonna be another super hero mmo I even told them it was Marvel. Now the problem is iv seen this happen many times before dcuo will die from this unless dcuo gets a relaunch/revamp

If the Marvel game was announced 3-4 years ago, I'd be worried for DCUO more, but as Marvel's box office supremacy is slipping after Endgame, and DC has gained ground on them lately, I could see both existing, or maybe the Marvel game never really takes hold even.

Don't get me wrong, it would be cool to see a Marvel MMO in the vein of DCUO, but I'd guess it will be more based on 'current' Marvel's trajectory, which...sad to say...is downward. More worried about ticking boxes on some 'correct' checklist vs telling good stories about good characters first and foremost.

Marvel is making billions with the pandemic and unknown characters, spiderman alone might give them a billion in the next 3 months. Their disney plus shows were top 5 for like 8 months and they have yet to explore the xmen and the fantastic 4. Im a DC guy, but there isnt any ground being gained
All movies released in the past 2 years were a fail, the injustice animated movie was a fail and the CW shows are well, CW shows. Maybe Batman and Flash can change this, but you dont see quite a lot of people talking about dc creations this days.

That said, movies and shows arent games, the avengers game released after the hype and managed to have empty servers in a month because it sucked. If the Marvel game has DCUO like combat with ps5 graphics then it may take some of our players, but I doubt its in daybreak's best wishes to kill their most successful game (considering Z1 is dead) just so they can milk off money in another game. Not to mention the game is probably 3 years away or more.
