Central City and Gotham wastelands are very skipable. You can hit Cr 100 without even visiting either place doing the alerts or duo's. I've done it 3 times in the past week on alts and it's sad. Those places were so active and fun Now unless you're just bored or feat hunting they are no longer necessary it kinda sux and is kinds sad
You're right to a degree, those are examples of some of this games content that are skippable in one way or another. Some people will actively avoid the content, some will unintentionally avoid the content and some will breeze through it without really noticing. Personally I go out of my way to interact with all content on every character I play as, including the Toyman missions. Unless I'm having one of those days where I just dont feel like it.

Yea, we all get it.... But the game has gone down a different road. Join the fight against the noobs that request dumb stuff like getting rid of the dps role....hahah
To be fair. Central City was skip-able way back when they introduced replay badges and was really skip-able once they consolidated the marks shortly after to everything giving you marks of triumph. If you hated any portion of the content you could just buy the needed gear with marks earned and play stuff that you couldn't do. Also, people still go after the CC bounties. Plus, I believe you can get a decent premium bundle at least on PSN plus a discount if you are PS+ that gives you a lot of the earlier DLCs. But at the time of replays etc you could easily have be walked into Gates of Tartarus Raid. Now I don't think you can if your CR is not high enough. but again...like another said...that DLc was a different time....it had an exclusive mark for just that gear. I remember it and Gotham Wastelands being kind of empty for a while even before the recent stats matter revamp. Plus....a lot of the content in the Wastelands was mostly solo and easily stuff to help with the hard alerts/raids from Origin Crisis. I think at that time it gave the same mark. So you could gear up to finally beat those harder raids. But yes....that content in Gotham Wastelands was beautiful. Plus they did a graphics overhaul I believe. In terms of the look of the content I do think they outdid themselves. Lots of new characters/voice actors and Susan Eisenberg as WW. It also took the Sons of Trigon series of comics that I don't even think were that big of sellers and added Circe and Wonder Woman and really probably made it better. They even incorporated the Raven New52 style at the time. So yes, in that sense....definitely sad. On the other hand...the alert for that DLC at the time was the highest CR i believe and was kind of a cakewalk even then. We fought Circe/wonder woman again. although....you could tell they were already planning the 3 part DLCs. anyway.....as someone who was there at that time I'm done with kicking Imps and demons.
