kicking option - change it - allow option to ignore players that voted to kick

I've been kicked from the regular versions of the alert and new raid once each in the last 6 weeks.
My time is as valuable as everyone else.
I queued into the raid and alert (as normal for me - it's pugging - forming a group isn't normally necessary for this game IMHO)
This forced me into re-queueing into the raid and alert each time - A WASTE OF MY TIME.
I have 15 toons - so playing efficiently is what I do. I try to play on each toon at least once a week, but due to time constraints - this can be very very challenging to achieve.
Most of my alts have only around 200 skill pts not a lot, but adequate for my purposes.
I do use the wolf pack - I did trans, strat and lasso - I could have chosen others but these 3 are near universal IMO.
I don't think other players truly appreciate the abilities of the lasso ( pull, stun, DoT ) and some tanks are annoyed at being out pulled in regular - but I believe in regular - you don't really need a tank, a troll or even a healer.
Playing roleless in the alert and raid can be challenging for the uninformed and misinformed.
The alert and raid would go much faster if people just played the 'capture the flag' part
by staying near the obelisk - you don't need a healer, a troll or a tank - though a debuffing troll should make it a bit easier, especially one that has a shield for the players that don't use a shield or refuse to use one.
In the alert - I was on an alt - and I likely did not have the default tab up - as I often just have combat up - keep an eye on what's occurring - especially when an update occurs - or when I suspect an update has occurred due to changes that appear to have occurred.
In the raid - I was in combat tab and changed to default tab - after a round or two of the obelisk.
2 or 3 players were in group chat - I did not see the initial conversation, but apparently they wanted the rest of us to play a certain way - but this is a pug group - everyone just queued in - I saw no discussion for a feat.
they also used insults to bully other players into doing what they want - and of course - I'm not the to be bullied type - its obvious to me their behavior with kicking is to kick anyone who has a different opinion (right or wrong).
So for me and everyone that encounters these types of players that will waste your time by kicking you out of an instance (alert/raid) - their should be an option to ignore these players and their alts (because I'd guess they play the same way on all their toons - just as I do).
This ignore option needs to be in effect to so that I don't encounter them and their opinions when queueing into any instance (duo/alert/raid).
I don't wish to continue and waste my valuable time with 15 toons.
    I don't have many choices....
I could continue, but accept the kicking that occurs (but this is absurd to do right?)
I could quit, but I have so much invested time and $$$ - that this is wasteful, (but might be necessary if nothing is done).
I've been playing since Nov 2011 when free to play(FTP) was introduced and I was a FTP for nearly 2 yrs before succumbing to subscribing...

I really really request the developers to create an updated option for kicking, so that I don't play with non-heroic players who aren't very viable for the game IMHO - kicking creates such havoc for other players - I suspect they kick other players at their whim and have continued to abuse the kicking option to the point where a player of my caliber is seriously considering quitting due to the wasted time and ego maniacal madness that these type of players spout into group chat.

It's also why I don't do elite raids anymore - it's a combination of a league w/o viable players and some of the elite players IMHO really haven't developed a sense of what to do in elite content - their are only so many options, but it's obvious to me spending more than an hour in elite content - is a time wasting event ....
I also don't have the best of ISPs - this can really be seen with latency using a site like speed.cloudflare.com and less than optimal is seen especially on the uplink portion ( the pew -pew'g and trying to pick up other players in a timely fashion, watching adds and other toons drifting away, or reacting when the environment turns to lava)

I can't continue to waste time with 15 toons
so I'm at a point where this dilemma of do I continue? or abandon the game? has become a quandary...
it's likely I'll continue to play - but at some point - I'll likely become like the rest that have departed the game.

you could add a penalty to players that use the option to kick - after enough kicks they become a villain or a hero - wouldn't this be fun to get out of? just don't tell them how to return to their normal status of hero or villain. as a hero you'd have to do villainous acts to return to a villain and as a villain you'd have to do heroic actions to return to a hero status.... but that's a storyline arc that no one has explored.....

kicking either needs to go away (it wasn't part of the game in the beginning - it was added due to someone's request that was not well thought out or implemented IMHO)
or kicking needs an ignore all that kicked option.

when a kicking vote comes up - I often choose not to vote - why? because you have no real idea what the player is doing. You don't know if they have to answer the door or take the dog out or any other similar circumstance that takes the player away from the game. It could be an ISP maintenance window or due to miscreant DDoS attack - so kicking is being abused IMO and I've recently been kicked and to me their was no good reason to kick - all it did was - was waste my time and give the kickers the satisfaction of kicking (right/wrong).
I did nothing wrong IMO - I queued expecting to earn marks that's ill need for that toon - not expecting to be kicked.

TAKE KICKING AWAY or CREATE an IGNORE ALL THAT VOTED TO KICK OPTION - so that the player is not abused and time is not wasted for that player in the future with these players that abuse kicking.

else I suspect, more and more players will choose to leave - because when you have enough of a reason or reasons - a decision will present itself - and who want's to be abused by kicked for no good reason?

I could rant and rant a bit more - but hopefully this will be given careful consideration and merit a discussion.

if the game want to make more $$$ - I'd suggest a wolf pack for allies and remove kicking.
if I don't want to play with another player - I can always leave....

They won't remove kicking. Hate to say that but yes it can be abused but not by everyone.

Let me get this straight...you go into a raid with Lasso and pull the adds around, messing with the tank's flow (and subsequently the other player's flow), and then wonder why you're getting kicked..because you think that "you don't need a tank"?

I've been in runs where kicking is completely justified. Removing it altogether is not the way to go, in my opinion.

    Can it be abused? Sure.

I doubt it was in this case. Like Virality said... you're going into group content with an artifact and practically griefing the rest of the group. It doesn't matter so much in the first few stages of the new content, but yeah... if you were in a more generic raid doing that, I would have voted to kick you almost immediately if it was initiated.

I generally look at the scorecard before jumping on the kick wagon. If it's obvious that the player they are trying to kick is not adequately performing their role, or worse... if they're making the run take twice as long as necessary by doing something absurd, then yeah. Get kicked.

jfc after reading this i want to vote to kick you. you cant just play however you want in group content and not expect reprecussions. if i were you i would stay out of group content. that should save you time so you can run all 15 of your characters

With a random queue you need to have a kick option. Unfortunately there are some alerts and raids that require multiple players to do things at the same time, or some raids like the Atlantis throne one and Source Wall, where one player can cause the entire group to get stuck or kill the entire group. I will usually only vote to kick a player if they queue as a role but then refuse to or can't play that role in a raid. Most common is players will queue as tank but can't or won't play as tank. Even though you can beat most regular raids without a tank it causes a bunch of stress to the rest of the group.

In my experience, when somebody posts a wall of text complaining about being kicked from groups, they usually have no idea what they're doing because this community, as awful as it can be, doesn't usually kick people from queues unless the person is absolutely ruining the run - or it's a league run and they're making room for a friend. But the latter happened more in the earlier years when there were both more players and more leagues.

Anyway, finishing your wall of text by saying removing kicking will somehow make the game more money is all the evidence we need that you have nothing rational, logical, or even sane, to say.

I was in a raid this week for omnibus and the guy who queued healer wouldnt switch from DPS. He had a purple healing ray 80+ and equipped in his dps loadout. All he needed to do was press t and use a healing ability every now and again for 3 mins to finish the raid.

The first vote to kick failed, I didnt start it but I agreed to it. I was locked out of voting. So the entire raid sat there waiting as we had failed the boss encounter with 1 tank, 0 healers and 0 controllers.

If anything you need to be able to call for a kick more often.

Most of the time kicks are justified. I mean if you gone queue a role make sure your loadout is actually dedicated to that role and not the opposite. Some of these healers I see would have full power the whole raid and take a very long time just to cast their healing abilities if they even have healing abilities equipped in their loadout. Or a Tank who isn’t grabbing adds, not intiating the battle ever and getting one tap by adds then blaming it on the healer. I mean if you’re getting kicked repeatedly maybe it’s a you problem and you can easily find a solution to that problem by watching a guide video for your role idk

I ran an alert a while ago with a troll that literally spammed ranged weapon attacks the entire run... it was insane. The person never activated a single ability from their tray and they were queued up as a controller/actively in troll role.

Not sure if this is a troll post?

If not, as a tank main I completely understand why you would be kicked and would have started the vote myself if you, as dps, started pulling adds using Lasso in a raid away from me.

It has nothing to do with being 'outpulled' as you claim, but the fact that you are making my job more difficult. My job, in regular, Elite, or Elite+, is to keep things simple, remove confusion, control the flow and control of the fight, keep the other players safe, and put the group in the best position to win. By using Lasso and pulling adds away from the tank you are likely causing the raid to run longer than it otherwise would, which is the exact opposite of 'efficient'.

Play how you want, and understand that when you cause an issue the effect is a /votekick.

    PEBCAK.

Don’t like pug group attitude? Don’t pug.
Don’t have chat open in a group instance? You’re playing a multiplayer game.
Don’t like being kicked? Run with friends or league.

What I hate about this as an Ebon user is that with no troll I have enough power with the passive roleless buffs. With a troll not giving power the passive goes away. I sometimes ask these "trolls" to switch to dps role to help me out.

"I do use the wolf pack - I did trans, strat and lasso"

found the problem right there! stop using lasso and i can assure you, you will prob never be kicked again for messing up the flow of the raid.

    goodluck!

You needed to unload, so I get the info dump. Not to mention, you threw in something controversial enough to stir up the conversation you wanted. Hope you're over the annoyance of those kicks and are back to fully enjoying the alt and pug life you've chosen.

Yup, details aside, I hear u on your proposed Ignore All Yes Voters option after a kick. If it's considered, I hope it doesn't become a top priority, though. Not that I disagree that your time matters; I just think more pressing issues are out there right now, and as you know (and mentioned), we're not forced to play with randos or queue blindly. Good luck, bud!

I pretty much agree with you but I've seen the odd individual try to start a kick in event because someone wasn't performing all that well. Not skiving off or actively interfering, but being undergeared or powered. Usually the group nixes that level of sour. I have a threshold - but this guy would probably be over it, especially if I were the tank and he was snatching adds from under my nose. I would tell him to stop that pdq, and expect him to.

I'm pretty sure I ran with you (on one of your alts no doubt) during Valentine's on the Zamaron Duo and Alert. You kept pulling adds and doing barely anything else on your loadout. It was super annoying especially when right after the cutscenes for the bosses you would hang back and pull the bosses out of potential Orbitals. I was cheesed and told you to quit it but unsurprisingly you ignored my comment so I put you on ignore. I couldn't kick you out of the duo but I would've if I could've. Well what do you know next day in the Alert I see one of your alts again doing that while I'm tanking and the rest of the group dpsing. I think someone must've been annoyed at your constant pulling but also to add insult to injury your terrible damage too. So when they instigated a vote to kick you sorry but my patience ran out and I voted yes. I dunno why you think your constant lassoing is OP but it's super annoying. I wish if you block/ignore a player it's account wide so you included alts. But boy are you one of the more annoying randoms I've encountered lately.
