I don't know if it's because I've been playing this game since 2011 or most of my close knit friends are no longer playing but it seems like DC is dying out. Me being a long time customer I do feel that one of The causes are from replay badges being introduced. Another thing is recycled content. Please bring this game back to life. Ask for our ideas when creating new content since we will be the MAIN ones playing it. Sincerely, Concerned Customer
There seem to be a few similar posts a week of late to this effect. I'm not sure how the game is doing population-wise throughout, but I haven't had much trouble with lower tier content in the first couple tiers. If old players have left in masses, new players have been replacing them pretty steadily. I just hope some of the new players subscribe and/or buy stuff on the marketplace to support the game going forward.
Alot of the main end game leagues are dying.. the more casual ones are fine tho. U may need to find a new, smaller league EKat
Not having people to play with isn't the issue because my league is pretty active and we get things done, DC in my eyes should be a top competing mmo not a casual laid back game.
I started when RB was already in use, but I'm more old school where you run stuff to get it based on drops and not RB the crap out of stuff. Though I do like RB smaller content to get fully geared up, such as duos and solo. I rarely replay Raids or Alert; if someone offers or does it for me I won't complain. DCUO is not dead, but has a new audience.
This is a common thread since day 1. But I do appreciate that this at least is not a hate filled rant. I'll say that from my perspective, I cannot say where the populatioin is. Some days my friends list is very short and some days it's very active. Some days the WT is pretty quiet and some days it's pretty busy. CC is barren, but go outside Little Bohemia and it's busy. I do think that as has been stated, perhaps many old time vets have been leaving for more challenging content elsewhere or simply life takes them elsewhere, but there does seem to be a crop of new coming up. I Q up for lower tier stuff fairly often and stay busy doing it.
There's nothing casual or laid back about this game really. That part of the problem. It's just instances. No other MMORPG's are instance only. You either log on and have to be on a group, or don't log on at all. THAT'S THE PROBLEM. The LACK of laid back is the real killer.
lol funny maybe its just you and she is right every thought about that? Look until we have factually numbers of the exact numbers of people logging on we can only guess. I will say the OP is more right because I see what they saw. If I had seen more off what you may have seen then I would agree with you. My whole league was given to me and quit most have not logged in. Since March. so this was before GU47 mess. and they are playing Destiny and that game is uber repetitive I mean seriously, well maybe not after the Taken King DLC [that's right I just plugged Destiny] But if your friends and league is gone that is one part that made this game. and they should voice their concerns and is by no means is it just them since people have been say this for months now hence why I think its just you and not the OP.
they have to use recycled content because the ps3 can't handle any more memory so until they ditch the ps3 all we will get is recycled content
Its just you. DCUO is doing fine. In fact it seems DCUO is getting much better and people are bouncing back.
lol its not just you there are people who are like its doing fine but its not really. What happened to PvP? Why aren't powers being released incomplete it seems. there seems to be the same amount of people on as in March while other games like FF14 and ESO and Destiny have seen an increase from PS4 players, which could mean nothing really but that's saying something. The game influx in some of the lower tiers are from F2P players mostly those that haven't sub or those that bought certain DLC's. The game isn't what it used to its more DPS driven most people haven't returned and some leagues are ruined. The best advice I can give is do not listen to anyone of us on here not the dev's anyone saying your wrong or anyone saying your right. Everyone has their agendas no one will admit it but they do, some will say its just you because hey have been on the dev's side for the most part or is blinded or maybe plane bobo (I'm Filipina so look up that word if you like). And that goes for those saying its not just you they are on their mindset and believe what they see... and will not change from their position. I say what I see and tell what I feel at the moment if I see the game get better I will praise them but this game isn't getting better its the same game pretty much as 2011 that didn't evolve yet. I'm waiting to see that first. So stick with this game if you like and see how it goes or if this game doesn't meet your standards go ahead and find one that does either way its about about what you want and no one can change your thoughts on that, For some this is the best game ever made in the world, and for others it was the best MMO on PS3 so they played it there wasn't anything better, until recently.
I like the way you think because most of the things that you stated above are true They are folks in here who would always be on the devs side not matter the circumstances People in here also who refuse or are to blinded to see the current state of the game and last the ones that realized that is not worth to keep playing and leave without saying a word. Another i would like to point out "casual players" may come anytime, but let see how many of those get to end game or give some revenue to the company? new players do not fill spots because we are not sure if they are going to stay for that long; in addition, that many people tend to download the game and then later on deleted it.
No matter how many players come to this game, no matter how much content they release, no matter how many powers they create, no matter how many new styles they add to the MP, this game will NEVER be as great as it once was simply because of the irreversible changes they made to the gameplay and combat mechanics.
