I can see it now.... "Argh, since the update, I can't log in!"...."6 hour maintenance window?"..."connection hanging at log in screen!" Sorry, but if it's 5-10 years out of date...not sure it matters. Unfortunately there is a bad track record with seemingly innocuous changes having unseen effects. Even if it's NOT a problem waiting to happen, I'd guess we'll see people blaming connection issues on an update to the screen regardless.
