Is legendary worth it?

If you're a frequent player who enjoys playing the game, then yes. Otherwise no, it is not worth it. I still fail to see why premiums bother to even play the game anymore.

To the OP....by no means should you listen to sonryo. The legendary membership in this game is more than worth it. You get a lot more than what you pay for considering the fact that the replays and SC given to you account for 2/3 of your monthly sub all by themselves. This game is awesome in many ways and it only gets better with a legendary sub. Don't let people like sonryo turn you off. Every game or product or anything out there has people involved in it that can never be made happy no matter what you do and he is one of them. Those kinds of people don't like something and so they want to ruin it for everyone.....ignore him.

I was just going to say that Continent of the Ninth Seal has amazing fight mechanics. Then, I looked up the trailer for Neverwinter and saw that it's the same company. Going to download it and give it a try.

Neverwinter a better combat system? I don't think so. I play it and it is ok but not better than DCUO.

    Honestly, at this point, no.

I would suggest going Legendary at least ONCE. Unless you bought some of the DLC, because I find it easier to sub once, get all the Central City trinkets, farm Avatars for gear, then just FOS the day away for Marks of Triumphs.

I say no because if you are like me, you wont be Legendary for more than a month here and there.

Not to mention a DLC is coming out soon enough, and if you plan to go, do it when it's released. You don't have to, and maybe it's due to me being in the end game CR, but I like to get a full month of the DLC before deciding to buy it and remain premium for the time being.

It's entirely up to you and how you play, really. For me, the answer's no.

For me, it's like this: when my main gets geared up enough for the new stuff, I just buy another DLC for it. I manage my repairs with about 21 random Plans I can vendor when I need the funds. I never use the Broker for anything; if I want something, I'll put the effort in to farm it (if I can). When I upgrade to the next tier of gear, I just buy a 7-day Full Escrow Access ticket to buy the Interfaces. No sense in me buying everything in full if I can't even experience it yet, apart from the cool new powers that get released with a DLC. Even though it looks cool, Quantum's not my thing, really. Electricity was for a time, though. The new healing power more than likely will be if it's what I think it is.

But yeah, if you like all that free benefits and other crap that Legendaries get, then more power to you. But if you can't experience everything from all the DLCs on rent, you may be disappointed for the choice.

This is a really personal decision. For me it's worth it, but only just. Many of the legendary perks may or may not have value to you:

The lockboxes now are really only a style thing and those styles aren't linked to many feat points so this may or may not be more than a little bonus to you.
The extra character slots are only valuable if you use them. If you are a one/two character person or feel that the game is too unfriendly to alts then this will have limited value to you. If like me you like to have a lot of alts, then this becomes much more valuable.
The unlimited cash is good and makes things much more convenient. However, once again this is conditional, this time dependent on server. With the auction house prices this is much more of a perk on the US servers than EUPC where things are much, much cheaper.

On PC you occasionally get double/triple station cash weekends and 1/2 off sales (plus the bonuses for using special cards if you're in the US) meaning that with some patience you can get things for 1/6th or less the normal price. So with the right amount of planning, and depending on your situation, premium on PC at least can be far, far more cost effective.

Ultimately if you want to play unrestricted, go legendary. If don't mind having to find work arounds for restrictions or planning your finances carefully, then stick with premium.

I have enjoyed legendary, since the start of the game. :)
  9. TKO New Player

I agree I pretty much cut my play time to a few hours a week if that in fact its ben more that a week sense I played last. My friends and I have also boycotted the cash store and the dlc's are on our banned list.
  10. TKO New Player

    nice hope we meet there
  11. TKO New Player

ill just say this ..your gard has to be broken not just by hitting triangle. and directional guarding you cam maneuver around your enemies shield jus like in real life
  12. Black Dawn Steadfast Player

I would say that it is but... you are the only person to tell you if it is worth it. But for me, it is totally worth it.
  13. Spidey Well-Known Player

Yes, but all it takes is one month to bang out what you need to do. Then it's no longer really needed.
  14. xDecap New Player

    no
  15. Jason Martin Dedicated Player

    DO YOU HAVE LIFE?!
  16. ShadowStyleB New Player

I like the combat system though don't get me wrong. Much better than the traditional click and wait and close to DCUO.
  17. blklightning New Player

Just gave it a try. It's kinda "meh" for me. I prefer for action to movement/combat. Will try it out some more later on.

If you're gonna go legendary, wait for a discount drive. I feel a lot better about paying less than $30 every 3 months vs paying $15 every month. Play for free for a while, maybe buy a dlc or two to go premium and just wait.

It's worth it to lose all the headaches, but not $15 a month worth it.

I play the game a lot and $120 a year (yearly plan) is worth the convenience.

depends on how much you like dcuo and how often you play the game.
