I'd never done Love and War before so was expecting a hard time. I did die three times to Carol (in my defence I think there was lag that made my block slow the third time). I said I was new to the scenario at the start, and one of the other players gave some key directions. Having said that, "on me" is not a direction if it takes time to check colours and match them on the minimap - that was after we finished the first part and needed to enter the mall, and the portal didn't show for me until everyone else had disappeared). But there were no wipes, and people in the group were quick with pick-ups. Someone wanted the WW/CF feat so had their nose out of joint when WW was defeated first - I'm also after feats but have found that PUGs for raids are hopeless in that respect. But overall it went fairly smoothly.
For a returning event like this with even feats attached it is likely not a good idea to have items or currency names with a year included, because that all has to be changed next year. Time which could be spent to work on more important things perhaps... "Outsider Ops 2024 Coin" "Outsider Ops 2024 - Quarks Cache" "Outsider Ops 2024 - Skill Cache" Just my two cents.
Well, yesterday I had 15 coins. Today ran alert(3 coins) and duo(1 coins) so 19 total now. Is it just me?
No, it doesn't. And that's the point. Next year you're going to have to earn 2025 Coins and buy 2025 Skill Caches.
There was a bonus coin for completing the intro mission; I think people may have assumed that it would reset each day.
Indeed. So 4 each day + 10 once a week. That means will take 18 days to reach 100 coins without rbs. Damn... So both boxes would take 36 days on one toon but event doesn't even last that long lol.
My understanding is that the Quark Box is free (1 per account) once you have obtained the Feats for opening the Skill Box
This is pretty cool but why doesn't the missions cycle daily? Like Batman day or Wonder woman day they change daily. This would be a really great way to be able to push older content that gets played less. People would play older missions they don't normally que for every day to get their Ops coins. Anything that isn't the last 6 episodes. Instead it's the same 3 missions.... Every day.... For a month? Missed opportunity if you ask me. Cool concept. Almost nailed it. CYCLE THE MISSIONS! EDIT: ok I'm a ******* and read more. They will cycle WEEKLY. Not daily. You know... That's pretty good actually. I might be just fine with that. We'll get 4 different older duo/alert/raids getting a significant boost over the month. That's a good idea. Still would like daily though
It's like Fallout 4. If I'm the leader of the Minutemen, why am I doing all the gruntwork? That's what grunts are for! Why am I doing all the missions for the Railroad while all the other agents and heavies chill at the church? If I'm a Brotherhood paladin, why am I doing all the stuff you'd normally send scribes and knights to do? And why am I doing Courser work for the Institute? Isn't that what Coursers are for? Really? I ran it for the first time ever, yesterday, and the hardest part was the section in OW Metropolis, where at first, everyone split up to go in different directions, but everyone pulled back together pretty quickly. The boss battles went pretty smoothly for a pug run. Yes, the instances count toward Omni, same as the Batman Day and Wonder Woman Day instances.
No, I was referring to the raid specified, Unholy Matrimony, of course. I just really don't want to dive into that with noobs.
Oh, goodie, so for three days out of a seven day availability, I've missed out on doing a raid because you bait and switched. Good job. "Unholy Matrimony" is hard. "Love and War" is extremely easy. Well, at least I have today through Monday to get it done, and the election is over, so there are fewer distractions and no campaigning left to get done.
OK, cross purposes. You were replying to Korlik who said it was Love and War and a mistake in the menu, so I assumed you'd picked up on that.
