Fixed Influence Of Replication Not Dropping

If this is the response to them acknowledging an issue and fixing it, don't expect much response in the future. I'd make y'all wait even longer just to make you waste even MORE time next time.

It wasn't NOT dropping, it was just a low rate. Many games have rare chase items. They heard the feedback, agreed with it, and course corrected. THAT'S HOW THIS IS SUPPOSED TO WORK, YOU CRETINS. People wonder why a lot of communities are labeled toxic, this is it.

But you do understand that many players been looking for that piece, and done 20-30 runs of single instance just to check if its here?
And you do understand that when you set chances of drop to 0,0000000000000000000001% you still can say that it still droping and its in loot table?
And you do understand that first reports about something is bugged was around 3-4 days ago?
And you do understand that you blaming community to be toxic, by..... calling them cretins? That isnt toxic?
And you do understand that when community, which you call toxic, cooperate and did run instances and post screenshots of drops or info "we run this one, that many time and it didnt droped" just to all know where something drop or what can be scretched of the list, have every right to be pissed off.

    A hit dog'll holler.

Try to put yourself in their place. Someone sets a drop rate. Is it a typo on the percentage? Not sure. Is it trying to set something as a long-term stretch goal that was poorly received? Not sure, either. They could very well have been trying to extend the thrill of the chase and boost runs of older content. We're not sure of the underlying cause of the reason why the drop late was lower than expected. But...that's the thing. People had a certain expectation that wasn't met. Where did that expectation come from? Pulled it right out of the...ether. No one on the team said "If you run it 10 times, you'll probably get it."

People decided to MAKE THE CHOICE to no-life it and run, run, run, run stuff like Skinner's pigeons. They MADE THAT DECISION. So, now people have set an arbitrary expectation and are angry that it wasn't met by their own actions...and when their concern was brought up, seen, agreed with, and will be fixed...the response is to continue to whinge about it? That's the issue, not that people were confused about where it was dropping. And people will then turn around and go "wHy dOn'T tHe dEvs SaY aNyThInG?". Because no matter if they do or don't say anything, people are going to mewl about it. I can't blame them for not wading in more.

I don't disagree with your assessment. I do know a lot of people were frustrated by the farming and not finding of the missing collection piece and it is very hard to "keep calm" when the first reaction is "this will be in the next hotfix" and that is the first response on the subject since it's been brought up. I wonder if this only even got found because someone placed it in the bug section after the discussion that had been having for a long time about where it drops.

    No, i won't, because why should i?
Have feeling that someone was wearing pink glasses for too long and forget how world works.
Game isnt charitty fundation where works free volonteers. Its buisness, and devs getting salary for their work. And like every other buisness it have customers. And like in every other buisness, if customers arent happy, then soon or later you will need to shut down your buisness. Its just that simple.

Yes, that was players decision. But it was players decision to make bugged drop? It was players decision to dont investigate right away?
Also, show me one paragraph in release notes stating something like: "Disclaimer: we dev team could bugged something again in this content so we advise you that you dont trust us, and dont run this content on repeat hoping for lucky loot drop".
If you show me that disclaimer in release notes, then ill say that that you are 100% correct, and it was players fault

You could try reading the Terms of Service you had to agree to when you made your account. I'll bold the super relevant bit of Section 22.

All wrote after that sentence is irrelevant. You think that Fortnite didnt had the same bs in their ToS, and yet they needed to pay $245mil. Or Roblox which had to pay $10mill in settlement?

But you still missing the whole point. Every player know that in all games ToS are those kind of bs. Other way every second not happy player could drag game devs to court for multiple reasons.
But puting legal things aside, there is issue of company image. If you think that its fine that every content can be bugged, every content can be messed up by devs, then you have 100% right, and community is toxic. Just wonder with who you will be playing when other 99.9% of that toxic players will be tired enough of that constant bugs, and will dump this game....

BTW, since you like read ToS so much:
Every player need to provide mail during creating account, and did you ever get notification on mail about changing ToS, which for example last update was on July 18, 2024? You can say that notification by mail is very reasonable, or actually only possible way to sent notice of changes in ToS, and somehow i never get any notice about changes in ToS.
Im not lawyer, but since they break their own ToS, what legal value their ToS have?

So you're claiming that having a bug or putting in a goal you find to be unreasonable breaks the law? I...think you've shown yourself for the type of person that isn't able to engage in worthwhile discussion. Have fun being angry at EVERYthing that you find mildly distasteful, I suppose. Life is going to be rough for ya.

This hits the nail square on the head. I guess curmudgeons gonna curmudgeon.

Then again, I do kind of envy anybody whose life is easy enough that this issue is at or near the top of their list of problems to be sweating. I suppose one persons mole hill is another persons mountain.

When was takling that something is or isnt resonable was talking about sending mail. You have problems with reading that you saw in that sentence any mention about bugs?

Also, wasnt you first who start quoting ToS....?:rolleyes:
I totaly dont care what is in ToS, you bring that subject into thread, not me, thats why i wrote ealier
For me more important is quality of content that is served to players, and some, like i do, dont pay game subscription to get all the time bugged or not working properly content.

And you can sugar coating devs as much as you want, and call players toxic cretins as much as you want, but some are tired of releasing bugged content, and how it affect players base, which is decreasing.
How do you expect to hold old players and bring new ones to players base, when all the time is somethig wrong with released content....

It will be my last post in this thread. Wont be wasting time on someone who think that releasing buged content is fine, and who call players toxic cretins, and who start twisting somebodys words just so they fit his logic.

I get that revealing the actual instance kind of defeats the purpose of a scavenger hunt. But considering this error and ensuing snafu, perhaps revealing the type of instance (duo/alert/raid) would help quell the frustration while maintaining the spirit of the hunt?
  12. Illumin411 Devoted Player

I don't think anyone takes issue with players feeling frustrated and/or disappointed with buggy content or similar issues. I'd bet most share a lot of those same feelings. I know I do. But we all have the ability to choose how we react and express our feelings, if at all. Some choose to say nothing. Some choose to provide potentially helpful data and/or feedback. Some choose to offer constructive criticism. Some choose to express their belief that they are owed compensation every time life falls short of perfection. And some resort to toxic, vitriolic whining, b****ing, moaning and complaining.

    Serenity, Courage & Wisdom...
