is what I like about em, we think to much a like, and with that being said when 1 of em aren't playing dcuo you can feel a emptiness in the daily gameplay that wasnt there before.

I remember when you started your league. You shared with me about it. I'm glad to hear that you have a good family like that. Also it's ok to have more than one family or family members scattered around the server lol. I have a few people I'd call family who aren't in league with me and some aren't even the same faction/server lol. Glad to hear your league is doing well.

What server/faction do you play? There are a ton of leagues that have that laid back chill type of attitude that still gets things done. If that's what you're in to, you'll eventually find a group of like minded people.

Is that really suppose to be a selling point for the league?

Sadly, most everyone I ran with over the years have left.

But this thread reminded me of this one time.....

Back around the time Prime battleground was released, players found an exploit with certain powers. Any power that encased a teammate, mostly natures harvest (In a duel) or the many different shields, the person encased could be pulled through walls by someone on the other side.

So, one day my league and I, about 8 of us, were in the original central city fighting Abra. Well, he had one major trick up his sleave that day, because somehow he blasted my character four blocks away.....through the invisible barrier, and outside of the zone lol.

So then, we took turns encasing each other and I pulled them out with me lol. All eight of us broke out of CC that day, into a non playing area. We took pictures of us all out on the bridge, over the river, playing on the boats, and spent hours flying around. It was one of the most entertaining times on this game.

We all ended up pulling ourselves back in CC though, cuz we were afraid we would get banned lol.

I feel like we missed each other during my short stay at DH lol.

That's sounds like a great time! I remember when I use to go off map with a good friend of mine on occasion lol.

So it was brought to my attention last night that I didn't share about my in game family, I just asked for everyone else to tell me about their own.

My in game family has grown over the years naturally and is scattered across the server tbh lol. Some have left the game but we still talk through Facebook and other messaging apps (most of my in game family isn't from the US). The ones who are left are the main reason I find myself wanting to log in and keep playing the game. Of course I love my toons and have put a lot of hard work into them, but that alone isn't what keeps me here.

I have lots of friends and past leaguemates that I would consider to be family, but there are a few that I am especially close to. Those few people (they know who they are without me naming them) are the most important people to me in the game. These are the people who have been there for me through so many things in rl. They are the people who have made me laugh until I cried, and some are the ones who sat with me while I cried. These 4 people are the ones that if DC shutdown today I'd still want to talk to them every day, and find a game we could/would all play together. One of those 4 people has already quit, but not a day goes by that I don't hear from him and he's been gone since November of last year. The other 3 still play regularly and mean the world to me. If those 3 people quit for real I don't think I could find a reason to log in anymore myself.

You see what kind of people you have in your life when something bad happens. My baby got very sick a few months ago. He had to be airlifted to a children's hospital and put in ICU. Naturally my family called to check on both of us throughout the day every day (since they were at home with my other kids), but the people that actually held me up through that hard time were these few people I mentioned. The amount of compassion, concern, and sympathy shown by these friends was the most amazing and heart touching thing. Imagine a group of people from all over the world who've never met doing all of this. This was a very bad time for me and those people held me up through it all. One calling on Facebook Messenger from Australia, the other sending a million texts and voice messages on Viber from Bulgaria, and another sending messages checking in from the UK all while my child and I are in the US. Think about how amazing that is.

The bond people develop over the years in this game is very real and some people don't understand it. Sometimes I don't understand it myself I just go with my feelings lol. It's not something that can be easily explained. This group of friends did more for me in that moment than anyone I know irl. I love these guys and girl dearly, and don't know what I'd do without each one of them.

I didn't really want to get into my in game family because I tend to get very emotional. I don't have to name my family because they know well who they are and how important they are to me. I love you all to the moon and back each in your own special way! <3

I'll share one funny/good memory on each one to lighten the mood back up lol. One of them sent me 200+ messages at one time showing me all her new sticker packs on Viber one day, and I laughed so hard as my phone was blowing up I had tears coming down my cheeks lol. One them and I tested revamp diligently and fought for our power which was the best time for me with him. There's no one else I'd rather fight for Celestial with . One of them dressed his male toon up as a fairy in the middle of the HoD one day to make me laugh because I was having a bad day (yes I have a print screen of this lol). The last one and I took a break at the beginning of the year to play another game together. It was the best time ever lol. He was familiar with the game and I wasn't. He laughed soooo much at me and all my nabbiness, but took me to do everything fun he could think of in that game. We went fishing, sailing, saw ghost ships, riding horses, hot-air balloons, airplanes, went in areas to use hang-gliders (that was a **** show on my part lol), and duo'd quite a few dungeons together.

Yeah, I was absent in the beginning of the year due to extra work time. You should go back. You, Caroline and HLDPS should join it.

well my first family the first two years on hero side all went away in one dreadful night, after we broke up and i quit playing for several months and my second family appeared when i got bored one day and made a new villain and started PVP to pass the time and I joined a villain league and we all ran together since then for the most part with my surrogate hero league the Rebels great group of people has always been a staple group that i love and meet here through the threads and have always welcomed me when ever i pop on the hero side again. Even tho one always calls me a Dirty Villain, jokingly of course

in the last several months my villain league has also died I haven't seen any of them on in weeks and every time I get on Deprive it depresses me so I inevitably log on my hero and run with the Rebels. while i love them i miss my fellow Indecis and my villainy ways and my hero will always be 11-12 SP behind because of all the feats that don't cross over from villain to hero so Sticky will always be behind in that regard. I really have a hard time logging lately because like someone else on here said.

we don't play this game simply for the game we play it long term because of the connections we have made with others. the game is great but those connections are what keeps us coming back over and over. I miss my fellow partners in crime

so to all the many people, I have met through this game and through these boards., I salute you and thank you for giving me many years of fun gaming and great conversations. not sure how much longer ill hang around but until then happy gaming

Ah the memories. I got into DCUO when T3 was endgame and I was enjoying the pug life until I was trolling in the FOS3 raid where it was mostly 5 players from the same league who after we finished asked me into their league. I initially didn't want to join but the guys sounded cool and were building their league. So I joined and since then the league eventually grew and absorbed another league into their fold and became a well known league. It grew so much to a point that there was always members on and they even designated me as a co chair to their decor league hall team after seeing my bases, lol.

Sadly however, there came a time when there was a schism between some leading members which I was a friend of and basically people started taking sides. I took it upon myself to leave with another member that wanted to create his own league that was inspired by the Star Sapphires. However, I am still friends with the leaguemates there and often help in some runs when they need it.

Oh, come on, I like talking to you! And we always have things to talk about. If we don't communicate as often it's because we are both busy with our lives, but at the end of the day, we always end up messaging.

I'm PC so I definitely wasn't there during the beginning of DH lol. I was there last summer for a couple months.

I use to get on everyday and have a good time with league mates and ran with other leagues having a blast. My memories are good ones of the people i met and chilled with.
This was about 2 yrs ago.
Now the community isn't like it was and it is hard meeting new people because within 2 mins of talking to them you find out they are BUTTS and you distant yourself from them.
I still get on and play and then 15 mins i get off because its not fun like it use to be, yes i was into PVP as well.
