Well....I never said 'assume', but sure. I suppose 'I'd guess' is a close enough phrase.

Ok...so let me 'assume' something else. I'll assume that there IS a chance that 1 person from every group will always be missing the obvious mechanics....'Big red line displayed on the ground==roll away'....'Bomb lands next to you with big circle around it==roll away'. Well, on the CHANCE that assumption is right, it would follow that likely all the instruction on VC in the world won't help that player. And that the other 6 or 7 players actually in the run WILL know that 'big red thing' = 'move'. And even IF that instruction would help in THAT run....you'd have to assume that there will be another run the next time, with a different 'never seen it...don't understand basic mechanics' guy in there who would need the same shouts of 'now roll away from the big dangerous thing!' commands shouted at him/her.

Does a team work better if everyone is on VC? Most times, yes. But are most runs simplistic enough that it should not be required? Also yes (barring specific feat mechanics)...and are there the above mentioned reasons why people don't by default use in game VC? Also...yes.

And in the end, all it proves is that most '3 min runs USR' AREN'T 3 min....which was my whole point in mentioning the run anyway. Heck, getting 8 people in chat can take more than 3 min most times. I wasn't making a comment on the quality of our players or the ability to run content, just that MOST spam farm groups aren't as effective as a bounty run, or even spamming the WV solo, where VC, queuing or backfilling quitters, aren't really factors.

FWIW, I've found the most effective way of fixing the issue isn't switching channels, which I've done in the past many times, I now ignore the people I can't hear, then remove them from ignore. That fixes it every time, although every person would need to know who they can't hear to do that.

If I were running in a full group, I'd never bother unless it were a specific feat run, or maybe E+, where verbal communication might be the difference between a win or loss, or feat/no-feat. Otherwise, I'll generally stay in League or a private chat where I can fix the other 2 or 4 people I'm talking to, and as i'm not popping in and out of that chat every instance, once it's fixed...it stays fixed.

Do you also remember when they brought up the ranks on the artifacts they also adjusted the enemy difficulty/negative base stat clamp on tge player. So they put the rank to 200 but increased the enemies attack dmg and inflated there health and defense stat lmao. Every episode after that was based around artifact scaling to enemies. You literally gain no progression with the artifact after 120 because they inflated the enemies so much. Why you think they throw so many combat lock mechanics at you when they make content now. We went from being able to pull off a full rotation to not being able to deal dmg cuz my boss is in the process of changing their phase. Or my very favorite overly used combat lock which is mind control. By adding so many combat lock mechanics to the content you no longer have players crying about hey electric is broken or rage is One shotting content or my other favorite gadgets is broken haha. You can no longer have a DPS comp in DC Universe there is far too many combat lock mechanics it's insane how much the game has changed due to artifacts and the stat revamp

Oof, yes. I've noticed that more recent bosses spam CC moves way more than they do in older content. I was fighting the arachno-thingy in Bottled DC with at least 10 other players, and almost every other move I made, I'd get flung around, either pulled toward it or flung back or stunned, and so on. OTOH, I fought Grodd in Doomed Washington DC with one other person and got CCed once. I solo the paradox jerks on the overpass in Central City, and get CCed way less than in newer content.

YES! Absolutely agree with you. It’s Regression not Progression. It’s like they (DCUO) hates us for getting stronger by playing the game according to their rules and doing what we are supposed to do.
