Nothing on Earth would have prevented that. Arguments will always ensue...it's forum law practically.
People who were buying duplicated in-game drops and/or posting items for an outrageous amount of money were taking advantage of a dysfunctional system. And they were banned for it.
There are people who say the 999M prices and posted their stuff for 120M. And they sold in less than two seconds because they refused to feed the beast.
"Then they were stupid! All that person is going to do is repost it for 900M!"
Yep. And they probably got banned for it and well.
People will say, "But that's the market value!...That's the market value!..." and keep repeating it over and over again. It doesn't matter. The inflated market value was a known issue and people were knowingly taking advantage of it.
And now they've been held accountable. Period.
Yep, there are two universal forum rules...
People will always argue, even when they agree with each other...
If it exists, MAGNETO will always post a video of it...
Well my account was freed so not everyone is guilty
The arguments before weren't nearly as mean and toxic as the ones caused innocent people getting caught up in the ban/suspension net. Then the developers stating that anyone who was was a confirmed exploiter (which wasn't true after they actually went back and looked over the cases). Then all the people who lack empathy jumping on anyone who posted their story of being mistakenly suspended, telling them they got what they deserved and accusing them of cheating/exploiting/glitching. It showed how ugly even the "respected/trusted" members of the community were inside.
Mostly, I think, it showed how fed up people are with the exploiters, cheats and glitchers... so fed up that the slightest hint of somebody being involved in such activities was like dropping blood into a shark tank. Anybody who came in here complaining about being suspended did so with a big target painted on them.
