I think they could fix broker

Why is money so wanted? Because things cost so much... DURRR. Maybe the Devs could make the prices cap at maybe 15k for how much you can put something in the broker for. Then the prices wouldn't be so ridiculous. There would be no reason to put things in broker for 30 million when you only need about 3-10k to buy mostly anything in broker.

Yea I've never really understood the point of the broker and having so much money. + 1 to the cap idea.

+1 to cap the broker. Greed. Such an awful thing.

hmm i dunno. for a normal broker there shouldnt be anything above 1 million cash. even then things close to that should be expert plans - namely soder cola next plan and coveted styles like cc hood. i also don't understand why people sell collection pieces so high - even a normal day some collection pieces can be 200-300k. i think a million should be the cap and only really for very rare sought after stuff. its good to have a bit of money going on your toon or toons - though abusing that privilege like what some are doing atm is unacceptable.

So because someone is willing to pay the stupidly high price a seller places an item at it's all of a sudden the SELLERS fault? o_O

I just think it would fix all the money glitch issues, and the over pricing issues to put a money cap on broker. Nothing in this game costs over 15k except items sold by players.

If they cap the broker, everyone is going to sell by trade then. Kind of pointless tbh. A for effort though.

I guess they would have to put the cap there too?

Every few days somebody comes up with this suggestion followed by a flood of people telling said person to take economics 101. What else is new? The sky is blue and water is wet?

They can start by joining heroes and villains broker into one. I don't know why 2 brokers if negotiations can occur between any players.

    Sounds like communism to me.

If they capped the broker, they would have to cap trade too. As people would stop using the broker and go to individual trades.

LOL! This made me laugh. Haha. This game isn't based really on capitalism either. (In game that is.) It's a weird hybrid.

It's a system that resolves itself to some extent. Some prices are well beyond ridiculous, but it's a matter of who can pay for it vs who is willing to pay for it. I have saved up a great deal just to treat myself to broker shopping sprees, but even if when I can afford it, I am not going to pay millions for something that will eventually fall into my hands or that I can get cheaper later.

The Broker's set-up promotes the need to dig in and farm, working for what you need. It allows you the freedom to set your own prices and ultimately learn the market. Sometimes the 30m example is a big payoff. Sometimes, I imagine, it is a hard lesson learned as to not selling something for that much, because you have to payout to even set the price and we don't get that deposit back.

When I sell on the broker I don't get anywhere near so greedy. I understand the frustration of not being able to buy what you want or need because others set unreasonable prices. But I wouldn't stifle their freedom to learn the hard way or to cause us to farm more to get it. At some point you get to be the one setting the prices as well. I make a killing on the broker because I don't get greedy.

I wish they would add a bidding feature, personally. I also think it would be great to have the broker actually compete against the seller if it goes over that certain point. That way the seller still has a shot of selling, but the broker replicates the sell for an auction at a fraction so the best bidder wins. That way those that want to pay less can, within a certain amount of time as a bid, and those that want that product "now" can pay that arm and leg.

Another thought though... Why not make the Broker into a true auction house? (The cap applying only to the starting price and then players bumping it up as they compete for the item until the set time runs out...)

In response to Psycfyre; Yes, it IS the sellers' fault.

I miss the downvote option. Instead of finding all that stuff you really want in the AH you would find endless junk that you don't want. If there was a cap I would never sell the capt cold hoodie in the AH, I would take the less than 5 mins to sell it in trade, in fact I would probably stop using the AH completly as it wouldn't be worth my time to post items anymore. I guess you people would want player to player trade stopped next.

Also for those who don't know why $ is wanted or needed so much, this is an MMO and being rich is part of the game for me as it has been in every game that has $ that I've ever played.

This right here is the best ideal when it comes to the broker. With an auction house people could set that buy it now price for others who want the item quickly and the ones who want it for a good price can wait the 12-24 hours to get it for their price.

Though an ebay silent auction would be interesting, that just seems like a bear to design and impliment. The broker is not a necessary convience for the game, so I am going to say no thank you. It works and the most I want them to do with it is have a better sorting feature.
