But I really don't want to.I'm on USPS3 but for some reason i keep getting the ylod(yellow light of death) and I've gotten it about 3 times this summer. I'm guessing I either played the game too much or my system can't keep up ; could be both. Worse than that, all my other games aren't fun to play and none of the newer games interest me now. Dcuo was my endgame type ofgame and now i can't even play it, im so mad. So i quit dcuo sadly. I know some of you maybe all of you don't care, but I had to vent someplace that understand the feels
That sucks. Hope you take Spicy's advice and upgrade to a PS4. It hurts to lose the one game you love, but I think it is starting to become too much for the PS3.
Yellow light of Death was something that happened with the first series of PS3´s (80gb version). It was very common to happen. Sony had a lot of troubles because of this. But since they realesed the 160Gb and 250Gb version, the problem was mostly solved. It was still happening but a lot less than before. Now its vey rare to see it happening.
I know how you feel ... SOE and DCUO didn't seem to be able to help me with a technical issue I was having, so I quit playing for a while. My problem only occurred with this game, and a full reinstall of the game and profile didn't fix it either. Eventually, when I had the time, I backed up all my movies/pics/etc to usb and did a quick format disk, redownloaded the game, and it works now. I don't know if there's something they fixed in the interim, or if the reformat fixed it, but all is well now.
He can't. Keeping your electronics dust free and out of direct sunlight helps prevent this situation.
If you see the yellow light of death, it's probably not real. It's probably a member of the Sinestro Corp messing with you. Run or fight back (depending on whether or not you have something to fight a Yellow Lantern)
