the weeds were the ones that couldn't handle the heat and left, that is why they're weeds.
  2. Proxystar #Perception

"Shoot them down", no, but I would point out where the mistakes were occurring, how else are you supposed to give feedback or is it just routine now days to engage "snowflake mode" because everything is an attack now days right rather than giving feedback or constructive criticism.

So now you just say nothing right and instead cry about absolute nonsense to avoid receiving feedback you might not like. Reeee the clamp is mean, I don't want to really say what's bothering me right, because someone will tell me I'm doing it wrong, so I'll just say "Reeee the clamp is mean"....

And there you go, did I get all offended and bent out because you corrected me, nope, not at all.

Not saying it's an attack, but it's been said before...and is not listened too by some. Personally, when someone is just stuck on repeat on something I disagree with (except you Proxy) at a point, I just say agree to disagree. I don't keep telling them to give me their reasons so I can keep picking away at them....as I know that is the result.

You sound so arrogant in text... yet too shy to turn on your microphone in the few weeks that your carebear league tolerated my crazy drunk shenanigans. I'm sensing some serious disingenuity (agreement with Reinfeld, ew) and keyboard warrior antics.

I can see a few resolutions to this problem.

    1. Turn on your mic and assert dominance over me and Reinfeld in a private chat.

    2. Put on your mitts and hit a punching bag while expressing your intolerance of weeds in a youtube video.

    3. Send me a selfie of you flexing in the mirror with one arm and holding a pink loofa in the other.

Only then will we accept your manliness.

I dunno why I hear the "She Blinded Me With Science" voice when I read this...

LOL You're drunk (again) Cyclonic, love you though.
  7. Proxystar #Perception

Then your complaints about the clamp (not yours) are easily dismissed as the errant ramblings of a fool, if that's your thing, then by all means, but it's pretty transparent (again, not you)

    But.. See?.... That's the thing.

    It was an unnecessary step.

Now, what harm would there have been if you had THE OPTION to just form a group who already know the raid like the back of your hand and do the raid how you see fit to do it?

    No one being dragged.
No one not learning the game.
It would take less time....in/out, and move onto the next thing.

You feel like weeding?.... You'd still have the option to do that.

Any option to keep players separated simply divides the community. It has been argued mainly by the anti-clampers that the community is dwindling primarily due to the clamp(among other reasons); which obviously if that were true, then it cannot support such division.

In otherwords, anti-clampers who would support such division need to pick a lane. Either way, as long as the CR skip exists...good luck "separating" new players from the ones who have ran the content over and over again.

And those weeds are still bad players who learned nothing. Better in-game hints should be displayed so players who are either new thus unfamiliar or those who have simply forgotten about the mechanics could then be reminded as to what to do or how to survive or what needs to be done to properly defeat the boss.

    1) New players who choose to play with advanced players..... are choosing to play with advanced players.

    2) "pick a lane" - I WOULD LOVE TO PICK A LANE... that would require having an option.

    3) It wouldn't divide the community any more than it is now.
People who don't like playing clamped... don't play clamped. Letting them do their thing doesn't affect what is occuring now.

If your fear is that if people who could opt to play unclamped would all choose to play unclamped.... THEN THAT WOULD BE WHAT THE MAJORITY OF WHAT PEOPLE WANT.

    WIN/WIN

Either the community is dwindling and cannot support separating the community, or it isn't and the community can suppport it. Which is it?

New players have as much of a choice to run with advanced players, as much as advanced players have as much of a choice to run with new players....especially when queing Omnibus and not using LFG.

Are you afraid that if clamp was made optional, pro-clampers will become minority?
You should be happy that anti-clampers will stay out of your lane and you get to play with those who love mechanics and dont need 300+ skill points but can clear elite raids with 120 arts because they are that good. All the good players are pro-clampers right?

It shouldn't bother you that may be, may be, more noobs will join on anti-clamp side, CR skip and pew pew in separate lane.

Your experience should not be any different if clamp was optional.

Why do I get the feeling that there is a "business" account in your finances that you don't want to have to explain to your taxman... or spouse?

That would depend on WHY the community is dwindling....

If the clamp is partially to blame... then, fixing that should also fix the leak.

and... once again... (next time in capitals) an option wouldn'y necessarily separate the community any more than it is now.
Anti-clampers already avoid EEG... letting them play it in away that they want wouldn't take anything away from those who play it now.

No.... Advanced players have the option not to play it at all... Why play old content that was beaten years ago at a level not where your at?

The point is that this "But new players were complaining about being dragged by advanced players" wouldn't be a problem as the new players would BE CHOOSING to play with those advanced players.

Those who don't want to be dragged... can still play drag-free.

The game is predicated on group play where the game is designed for mechanics to be successfully executed, and not simply ran through with one hits and quits. That is the way the Devs have designed the game, and expects the community to play it that way. No matter how many "I want to steam roll instances" posts that are put up on the forums.

However, you are correct, the experiences should be the same..regardless of CR, and other stats gained, especially in group content where levels, experience, and CR will vary inside the instance.
  19. Dev72 Dedicated Player

If that were the case, then these posts suggesting removing the clamp wouldn't exist at all...because they wouldn't care as they are avoiding the clamped content anyway.
  20. GhostRyder3000 Loyal Player

You know that makes no sense at all.... right?

I'm assuming it's early and you're not quite awake yet.... Coffee might help.
