Hypothetically: What Would Make You Quit This Game

Y'all are lucky. I've tried to get my husband into the game a few times, but it's just not his thing. So we have 2 TVs next to each other and play different games, but side by side

I'd quit by default if my man decides he doesn't want me using his PSN account anymore. Not like he has a say in the matter really now but I'd be up the creek without a paddle for sure now way in hell would I start over just to use my own PSN id.

Transfers please!! Didn't think I would play this as much when I started and boy was I wrong!

At least he's a gamer. That's more than most relationships out there.

For me I would quit if:

• All my friends stopped playing - I CAN'T QUIT YOU GUYS AND GIRLS
• I died

That's it.

It's cool that many of you have such strong social sentiments and ties to the game. I have had no luck in this dept. I have joined several leagues and it seems like shortly after I join, suddenly no one logs on anymore or some feud happens. I end up moving on. But even when I'm in a league, I end up pugging 99% of the time anyway. My current league is on one of those, few log on turns. Maybe it's me?

I have played with friends, but they go and come back and go again, so nothing consistent. Just shows there are several reasons to enjoy a game. I end up simply enjoying the game itself.

This could be a real factor for me. I came here from COH and while all MMOs have their share of the rude and the obnoxious including City of Heroes some of the players I have run into here really make you want to just log off and do something else. PLEASE READ the entire sentence I said SOME so let's not start the usual creaming over nothing.

If the trend towards less and less content continues.. My buddy from the days at COH and I were just discussing this yesterday....

When the daily missions for Strker's and Ace Chemical arrive at CR 70 you had 2 contacts (one at each location) that offered up ten different missions each giving you a 20 mission variety pack to get through. Since I never used Replays there I actually had characters that took weeks to complete the feats for doing all of them and every 5 days I had access to two solo missions that led to added marks, salvage, recipes and armor. We also had daily access to bounties to defeat the Morrow and Siege bot for marks and armor.

Then the Wasteland opened up and we were given access to three daily contacts that each had 4 missions . NOTE that's a drop in available content to run from 20 down to 12. We did get three duos that could be run daily and every 5 days allowed us to battle an additional Son of Trigon for added marks and rewards. We also got the Raven bounty but short of spend 29 replays that only allowed you to run the mission once a week to grab an armor drop and additional marks.

When Metropolis Battle ground opened we got NO new daily missions at all and only 2 weekly ones to add any different missions to run. We did get a couple new alerts but no duos at all and of course there are the bounty missions available. Just seems like they could have added more to that zone to give us a bigger variety.

Now we are in Gotham under Siege and we have another three contacts but each offers only 3 missions (another drop in available content for 12 to 9 different mission) . Without using replays we can gain access to a bounty mission once every 5 days and battle one of 4 targets. We do have another two Duos that can be run daily but at this point I have gotten all the available armor either of these drop and am just selling the stuff I get.

It just seems like with every new tier we get less and less missions to run and things cost more and more so we find ourselves grinding away at the same missions again and again and again. What's up next 1 contact with 6 missions, 1 DUO and another monthly bounty?

Other reasons I could leave ... A better MMO arrives that pulls me away. I came here when COH closed its doors and frankly if it hadn't I'd still be there. I would love to find a game that had the amount of content and leveling system of COH combined with some of the mechanics of DCUO.

Real life of course.. If family issues made being here a problem the game losses not my Mother or my kids and of course if a lack of money was the issue .. I eat and pay bills before I worry about playing a game.

True, but one can look at it from the overall perspective. I.e. you listed 41 total missions you could do just in the DLCs you referenced. From a progression standpoint, it would appear less content is available. But IMO, there is content being added to one game overall, rather than content being added as separate and as the only current option.

Another mechanics and pvp revamp (aside from the current ones)...or another game similar in combat to DCUO without the immunity system (anywhere in the game pve and pvp) and a bigger emphasis on arenas in lieu of simulated iconics...

(I'd probably quit instantly on the second part of that statement...actually, I'd ragequit on the first one)

Same here. The game itself is great, but many of the people in the community are genuinely in need of a boot to the hindquarters.

The community actually hands down no contest.

I'd quit the moment I wouldn't be able to turn off kindergarten children quarreling chat a.k.a the Versus Chat.

In a way, I already quitted... but the corpse still plays.

The only way that Id probably stop playing this game is if Jens Anderson is no longer a part of this game. He is basically the last original creator of the game left and I admire his dedication to please the community and interact with us. If he gone, I'm gone...Its that simple...

What would make me quit this game?
If they took the skill out...
If they mess up the combat system any more than they already have...
If they keep the game on easy mode
If I get banned for finally saying how I really feel(i 've been biting my tounge for a long time now)

I agree, you can tell from his comments that he loves this game, but his hands are tied in regard to certain exploits (like the roleless buff thing making the awful community exclude roles intentionally). If he were to leave, the game would go down imo.

If it's impossible to play as a healer.

If l want to dps, l'll play a fighting game, not a dps-only MMO.
