Hypothetically: What Would Make You Quit This Game

This guy clearly gets it!!! SOE needs to hire this guy asap

I would never quit unless...
1. Servers shut down for good.
2. DCUO 2
3. Marvel Online(Being f2p & available on PS4 & PC not Xbox)
4. Another MMO thats really good IMO gives me a job paying more than my current job does & requires me to only play that MMO

If my league fell apart, I would quit. Until that happens, I am here.

Probably if my arms got chopped off I would not be able to play anymore

they have never said indefinitely just that they plan to for the next few years but that also doesn't dictate there wont be a separation at some point in the near future like my guess would be Jan 2015

I've played with some of the same group for almost 3 years now... we've had good times, bad times, we've laughed, cried, had babies, and some even met in real life... I cannot replace that if its lost. They are my DCUO.

Can only agree to this. The core group I started with is still around, we made new friends, we even lost some. But if those core people that I got to know in the last years stopped playing, then I'd stop as well. Too many good times.

yea my first league were the only people I played with for the first half of the game about a year and a half. we all talked on the phone and considered each other real friends. it sucked bad when it fell apart like I said I almost never came back because of it. so I know what you mean. but eventually I would log by my self and PVP because I missed the combat when I ran out of other games and met new people that were fun and cool to play with.

There is propably no single reason to make me quit or not to quit.
Besides the whole word "quitting" sounds like this game have some deeper meaning in life.
I just play and someday i may notice that i have not played in long time. Or i may not notice it at all.

If anything that I don't approve of happens..ever. But I'll be sure to make a thread about my leaving if that ever happens.

Though I full on understand this, I have the fortune to be with a woman who plays this game more than me. She's the one who pointed this game out.

Though our league shares the core group example you cite......and I do not see that changing.....ifit were to change she and I will continue and form other friendships.

That's a lucky bonus and that makes it fully understandable. But I think if you were stuck alone, in need to make new friends and built up again, I think that would take a lot of that drive away from playing. Might start with a break, few logs and then its just meh.

For me personally it is a game I can only enjoy if I have the friends I made there to play with me, be it running raids or just standing around in the HoD. Simple things really I could care less if I log in a day and all I do is make my char dress in pink, as long as I got them doing the same and laughing for even doing it.

I've been a Justice Girl for a little over a year but the league and it's ideals of keeping the game fun and playing together have been around since CoH. I played the first 2 years of DCUO without a league, but now...I couldn't imagine ever playing this game without them.

Short of JG not having a presence in this game or the servers being shutdown, I'm here til the end.

I'd never quit this game, there's always fun things to do.

My wife plays as well. Perhaps a silver lining in an otherwise dark cloud should things go bad....

For me, it'd be one of two things:

1. not finding the game fun to play any more
2. an NGE-level change made to the game.

Otherwise I'll probably be here till they shut off the lights.
