When a person launches character creation, they must choose a legend and then have a legends instance to get into a faction. It could be anything from legends PVE or PVP. Depending on the choice the players character is autocreated with appropriate styles and mentors and phase.
If a player started as a Legends Avatar. It should be used to setup the start of the universe. The cinematics: With this probably being a better example since it is built as a MMO. Lead Combat Developer Dongwoo Ye with Jimmy Thang, Marketing Manager at Epic Games on the Unreal Engine marketing team: "While providing an MMO environment where many users can access and play at the same time, superheroes have to implement action like a single-player game for the fast and flashy abilities and movement. In addition, in order to express superhero battles without boundaries between ground, air, running, jumping, flying, and landing, we had to take on a new technological challenge called the 3D Voxel system. After numerous performance tests and optimizations, we were able to fit all of this into a small device that fits within the palm of your hand."
This would be a neat idea. it would have to be a separate "Server" to play on to avoid intermingling but it would be a cool experience to play the leveling content with a legends character. would open the game up to new legends exobytes and skins for them. Wish full thinking I guess though
I mean they already have the 'inspired by' which let's you set up your toon off a base legend character. If this would extend into gameplay, as the 1st part of the game is basically a 'tutorial' I'm not sure what this would accomplish. Most Legends PVP or PVE instances don't really translate to learning anything other than pew-pew-pew, which most of level 1-10 is anyway(or wherever 'role' is unlocked). Many of the legends characters are restrictive and while you'd have more powers than you do when you get off the ship, you wouldn't have any customization, which is this game's bread and butter. Not to mention, most legends aren't even available if you are not subbed (well, technically none are available from jump, but let's assume they'd make the 'free' ones available in the chooser), so that would get pretty boring if you ran alts....all of them as Robin, Batman or even Harley/Joker/2Face....whatever. If someone wanted to play as a DC legend, play Injustice or something.
Technically.... you can pretty much already do that thanks to all the styles we have in the game now.
Episode content would also make relevant assuming DCUO keeps coming out with new content. I'm imagining issues of the comics. The main characters were always the same but the stories renew to keep things interesting. It wasn't boring then. It isn't boring now. It's what you make it.
I am not sure that it would be a good thing for the appreciation of players, if we sell a game where we can create a superhero, we do not sell the game allowing to embody a known character from DC, knowing that it is often said that a player judges the game after only a few minutes, to know if he will continue or not. Moreover, if it’s to feel this bad experience for too long in an instance where we were able to play certain characters like Circé and Huntress, it made the game very long, because we did little damage and the mana was consumed way too quickly, this kind of thing restrains the player genially too much...
