How to be an obnoxious player.

He knows what he's doing and all you noobs need to get good cuz DCUO caters to rage quit elitists who say they want a challenge while asking for overgeared CR and 200+ SP

I'm suspicious that we had your specific Obnoxious Player™ earlier this week. If not, then it was his Brother-From-Another-Mother.

Our version in PB-r not only wanted thanks at EVERY single cog he twiddled, he wanted us to all benefit from the incredible breadth of his experience with every power and every movement mode in the game.

He berated the Quantum troll for using Graviton tree instead of Time tree, even though no-one (tank, healer, or dps) was complaining about power and the bosses were all being properly debuffed. Obnoxious Player™ did a complete power dump (missing his AM) and was out of power and completely TRASHED the "noob" troll (154, 230+ sp) for not keeping power up. Troll tosses him a full SuperCharge, he power dumps AGAIN missing his AM......and complains the rest of the raid how the troll is incapable of keeping power up.

He complained the Sorcery healer should be using Watcher. She hasn't used Watcher in nearly 3 tiers of content. She's finished that raid 4 times already with this specific loadout, but he calls her out for not taking advantage of the Free Healz from Watcher. From first add to last boss, tells her over and over to add Watcher and even tells her the raid will WAIT for her to step out and respec to get Watcher. She did not step out, did not change load-out, and the raid did finish.

Told the tank over and over that "you can't tank like that. Ice don't work like that. Stop using all those shields Tank. Just use Reflect and hold block! Stupid Tank!"

Mental: you using the wrong weapon my man
Ice dps: yo bruh, you needa step up cuz I'm 2 cr lower and 50K higher on dps [Unspoken: cuz I never pick anyone up and you do]
Atomic: I don't play Atomic, but it looks like Fire, yo! ------proceeds to give tons of Fire advice and ignores all comments that the AM is not the same for the 2 powers.
Earth: Those Crystals hit hard yo. But you need to redo your mods yo cuz you need all red in every slot. Don't be using split mods in the non-dps slots.
Gadgets (THE HIGHEST DPS IN THE RAID): Yo man, you wastin time with that WM crap. You needa just do your AM and no WM. Gadgets player responds that he's top on dps chart (by more than 8 million) and ignored him.

Obnoxious Player™ suddenly decided that the problem was power and drops out of raid to switch to his troll. Quantum goes dps. Obnoxious Player™ dies twice because of standing in the purple stupid at Grodd. He decides the problem isn't trolling, it's healing. So he switches to his healer toon. He demands to know everyone's loadout before the final boss, and gets angry when 4 peeps don't respond. Finally Raid boss asks if anyone heard the guy's question. All 4 go "no, we put him on Ignore already".

We went in, let him die and didn't pick him up, and 7-manned Dr. Light.

Were you all kick locked? I'm just curious, cause that seems like an awful lot of stupid to put up with.

Sooo the mistake I'm reading here, which I really wish I wasn't mentioning out loud, is you guys were silly enough to invite him back when he switched toons.

He obviously had to know someone in that raid or you guys are just very very nice people who wanted to continue on with the agony train you were on.

They also could just not have invited him back, I'm assuming he knew someone in the group.

Obnoxious Troller

I forget how/why I ran across this video...but I've only been able to watch it to the end once.

We were kick-locked from a BD run right before where a guy left us hanging. Raid leader had run a couple things with Obnoxious Player™ before. He was apparently "not so bad" and we needed 1 dps cuz we only had 7 peeps in League on at the time. This was the first crossplay grouped raid the rest of us had done. We finished the BD with no issues and rolled into PB where our story begins.

Had we not been kick-locked, yeah, several of us would have happily kicked. Raid leader was the one inviting him to group as he swapped toons. People will put up with the antics of Obnoxious Player™ when they just want to finish a raid.

When I first saw the title for this thread my initial thought was "OH MY GOD they do just fine on their own for god's sakes don't give the guidelines!" LOL Okay that out of the way I'll share a short one I dealt with today

I was the healer on a Demon Plan alert and early on, before the fist boss battle, our CR 154 DPS went dead link on us.. We waited around for a while and then finally decided.. "we need to move on let's kick him" Well next up we got CR 154 TANK man. We entered the first boss battle against Lashing Claw, in my opinion the biggest pain in the butt of all the possible bosses on that alert, and it took us a little while but we took her down.. and honestly it was probably the smoothest defeat on that particular boss I saw today.. Let's keep in mind I have multiple alt and ran that alert 6 times SO FAR today.

Next thing I see is the tiny little red boot and TANK MAN is trying to kick our CR 140+ 9cant recall the exact CR) DPS. Well no one voted to kick her. and next thing we see in group chat is "well then kick me" GEE sorry but we only get 1 kick every couple hours if you hate it here so much the door is that way ------>

The whole issue revolved around TANK BOY deciding he could do a better job DPSing and wanted our current DPS to switch to TANK. He explained that wasn't possible he didn't have the armor. And then the Kick vote started. Our Troll informed TANK BOY .. we really don't need a tank to do this why don't both of you just DPS. Grudgingly tank boy goes along with that idea and then AMAZINGLY the next boss battle goes even faster and no one died... Then we took out Ra's and again OMG no one died and the boss battle was over in no time.

Then of course TANK BOY stormed off with the 5, or more, marks we'd just earned and never said a word to anyone. The rest of us thanked one another for the team and did the whole /bow thing before leaving. At least we didn't get anymore chat out of him.. then again when you tag along and get proven to be totally WRONG its kind of hard to justify being a mart mouth. LOL

I have seem so much of this sort of thing it's ridiculous....

ICW that started with 4 DPS and struggled. One of the other team mates mentioned we needed either a tank or Healer. So I switched to TANK. No problem until final boss battle against Bruno and someone may a small error resulting in team wipe. Not a minute later the one DPS is in group chat informing me I needed to pick up my damage I was WAY behind everyone else... in short looking for some one to blame ... Then the other two informed him I had been playing TANK since before we left Metropolis. Less than a minute later the guy accusing me of being a BAD DPS was gone. Amazingly the que gave us another DPS 3 or 4 CR lower than the guy that left and we went back and kicked Bruno's BUTT. GEE I wonder who actually screwed up that first time? hmmmmm

Oh I just remembered this one happened today. So I am doing, surprise, Demon Plan, with my Atomic and we have three DPS and a troll. All of us are around CR 150 as I recall one was CR 148. SO we clear out the mobs and enter the first boss battle room and defeat the four mobs summoning the first boss. I switch to TANK at that point and plow into the boss and about ten seconds later I see "Why are you in tank" in chat. Well I am a little busy holding agro and watching what is going on so I don't get stunned or die I really don't have time to answer your question right this second. I hit Dense mass, my super charge, that gives everyone on the team a shield that reflects damage and causing ANYTHING within range not attacking a tank to break agro and seek out a TANK to attack. Absolutely no one's health bar dips at all, including mine since once my aura is up I am healing myself, and we take down the boss with no problem. I was tempted to say THAT'S WHY but just kept my mouth shut, switched back to DPS and prepared to move on to the next set of mobs and our curious DPS quits the team. The que gave us a DPS that decided to play Healer and the rest of the mission went even smoother. Oh yeah and on the other 2 boss battles I switched to TANK and not a soul seemed to mind a bit.

I swear I do not purposely try to make them look like total A$$ but they have had so much practice they just can't help themselves.

This was a great laugh.. thanks!! Mainly because I run into ppl like this all the time in lfg groups. I often try to say to myself that they're doing it because someone made them feel insignificant in a prior run. As a female, I would have hopped on the mic and went on and on about how high his dmg was and made everyone stop after each group of ads to see how much higher he got! I would have mentioned how large his member must be to do such high numbers. I wouldn't have stopped til he got quiet and realized how obnoxious he was.

This player is pretty regular on DC. I am curious what is the guy's name please humor me ... he'd never find out i just got an idea and if u do not want to say just let me know if his name began with a "N"?

Something like this happened to me tonight.
I was on my villain alt, on a pug group that was almost a league run (me and a 1 or 2 more were the pugs). We were in PB. And it was a nightmare. It took like 30 minutes to beat the first boss. Troller left earlier (i guess he saw it coming). And it got worse at the fight with Gorilla Grodd.
These guys were all standing together and being k.o´d by the blue flames or Grodd jumping around. Tank couldnt control the adds. They try to double tank, it didnt work either.
Damage wasnt there (Top DPS was Ice, 1.5mill behind was me as Rage, around 1-2mill behind me was a Mental dps...and then way waaaaaaaay behind a Celestial dps).
A few wipes, and the new troll leaves. Spent a few minutes trying to get a new one. We get it. More wipes. So this new troll starts to call out the Tank (Fire). Asking about immunities and stuff. At this moment is when the craziness explode.
Tank didnt even know about immunities powers and this Celestial girl starts to yell (to defend her friend) "you dont know anything, Fire doesnt have 2 immunities" and bla bla bla and all kind of ridiculous stuff. It was crazy.
Troll left. And she, the tank and some of the other league members began to make jokes about him, and how he doesnt know anything about Fire.
Hear them talk like that It hurt my soul.

Sometimes I think there is a multi-game guild of obnoxious players who's sole purpose in life are to be douches. But that's just me!
