How exactly does a tank always keeps aggro?

    False. It grants your character styles.

    Gameplay in general has become easier since AMs. Sure, that includes SM, but the fact that the only round 20 that has been beaten is in FOS means that there are still the highest round or two in every SM that less than a handful of groups end up completing.

    Try pulling adds that have a control effect on them as any other tank. Tell me how that being able to teleport a stunned add follows the rules. I am not saying its not beneficial and I don't want it removed, but it hardly has an equal in terms of control.

    And again, tell me I said anything wrong as you seem to try and correct me giving the same answer. I am not saying bad to atomic, just saying it has a control effect that doesn't follow the normal rules and sets a precedent. Like quantum did with lockdown stuns and how it does encasements.(which is not really an encasement.)

    Aren't you supposed to be able to teleport (which is really just pulling) a stunned add? Any other tank pull can pull a stunned add as long as it's not in a type of stun like Quantum that freezes them in place.

    A dazed add is like one that is on fire ice or fire rage all have that kind of pi that creates a so called stunning effect. But several type of stuns still can be pulled. Off the top of my head only 2 stuns prevent a tank from pulling and that's quantum pot and munitions pot . Each one of those powers has a stunning that no tank including atomic can pull . But again that effects your talking about is the PI . I haven't played ice much in a while but rage earth fire and atomic pi works about the same way with pulls . I do agree atomic pull seems to daze more often then the others pi but it is still the same fundamentals as all the others. And again atomic has two different kind of pulls one is worked into the melee combo and that is what allows atomic to keep adds on them so well

    I rather not give out bad/fault info than try to be a know it all if i were you, if new players are trying to learn how to tank....they will make themselves worse if they read those info of your.

    No, SM does nothing for your player progression AT ALL. No feats, no skill points, no usable armor. So no it does nothing for your character.

    Like I said. SM has been a joke since the first SM. Now after the statsmatter update, SM could be hard again. But until they add something to better ones character. It just doesn't hold much merit to most.

    Since you can't read, let me help. I ran the first, and only true SM, aND got my styles that no one wears. The first SM was a true survival mode. I'm sorry you feel it's such a great test to ones character. Seeing random in LFG shouting for rounds 15 or higher really doesn't back up much of what your saying.

    After WM and AM are removed. Then we will see home many are getting to the higher levels in SM. Then it will.be a thing of pride to have gotten higher levels. When it's hard. It still does nothing to better your toon, so to me, it is still a waste of time.

    I already disproved your statement with a counter example. I care about SM and I am a person. Therefore, the claim that "no one really cares" is false.

    I know SM doesn't do anything for your progression stats-wise or gameplay wise. You said it doesn't do ANYTHING for your character. New styles is SOMETHING for your character. Some people in this game value styles just as much as they do gear and stats.

    ^ This is a matter of opinion and I respect yours. I will say, however, that in every SM, if you went high enough into the later rounds they did become quite challenging. Sure, there were always the highish rounds that the majority of players could beat, but there were always a couple rounds higher than those that, like I said in my previous post, were only completed by a handful of groups.

    If SM is such a joke, can I see your headline from the following rounds:

    Trigon 1 - Round 10
    FOS 1 - Round 20
    HH 1 - Round 15
    Oan 2 - Round 15
    Trigon 2 - Round 16
    FOS 2 - Round 20
    HH 2 - Round 19

    Or do you not run SM?

    So, for ice tanking it's better to mod centered on dominance for the shields like reflect? I wanna know since I'm planning to make an ice toon in a very near future.

    Dominance:
    Dominance is what you should spec into first. It helps not only your shields, but also your damage mitigation under those shields.
    Dominance is equal to Restoration for ice-trees shield strength, in tank stance, except for Reflection (Reflection mitigates 10k+Dom in damage, another reason to favor Dom over Resto).

    Restoration:
    Restoration is where many people would put their extra fluff skill points to get to the bottom of the trees.
    Modding, you could put some Restoration into your yellows to help with shields.
    If you've got some Restoration soders hanging around from the crafting feats or because you had too many yellow bits, those could help with shields, too.
    Since Dom is 1:1 ratio with Resto in many cases, but SP and whatnot provide way more Resto than Dom per point, you might temporarily allocate things for Resto, too. For instance, Dom, for some reason is Yellow in generators. So, until you get that highest dom, you might go with a resto mod as a holdover.

    All shields besides Reflection prevent damage equal to 100% Dominance + 100% Restoration. This includes Hard Light Shield.
    Reflection prevents damage equal to 10000 + 100% Dominance.

    Yellow Sockets: I would definitely mod with Resto/Health because the affinities alone make it better than putting Dom/Health.

    Red Sockets: You should mod X/Prec or X/Might for the health affinities.

    Blue Sockets: You'll have X/Health.

    Now, that X for red and blue sockets is either gonna be Dominance or Resto.

    This is just to give you an idea at endgame, using level VIII mods. I ignored the percentage buffs you get from League Hall proficiencies.

    Choosing Dom in all of them would add this much damage prevention to your shields:

    Reflection +688
    Bitter Winds +688
    Winter Ward +688
    Shatter Restraints +688
    Hard Light Shield +688

    Choosing Resto in all of them:

    Reflection +0
    Bitter Winds +1048
    Winter Ward +1048
    Shatter Restraints +1048
    Hard Light Shield +1048

    Choosing Resto in 4 and Dom in 4:

    Reflection +344
    Bitter Winds +868
    Winter Ward +868
    Shatter Restraints +868
    Hard Light Shield +868

    You ask me if I am repeating myself and yes. Your not reading I said I did the first SM. That ONE was a nightmare of a challege. I can do any of them, but choose not to because running these DO NOTHING TO STRENGTHEN YOU CHARACTER. The styles are not feats, the base items are not feats, there are no collections for a feat. There is nothing in there that could better you character for the next SM. Throwing styles, that no one wears, and trinkets that no one uses is not enough for me to want to go back. Look around the watchtower after this SM is over and tell me there are not tons of people with the title. Lol. Titles. Another joke.

    It's cool you like them, but sorry they are a waste of time.

    Thank you guys. Whoa, now I see why there are so few tanks in the game, even modding tanks is a riddle (also add they are blamed for everything and shunned on alerts/duos)

    I'm with the other guy, SM has become a joke.

    All rounds prior to 10 have become nothing but a steamroll and then the next 10 rounds are made artifically hard through CR differential.

    The progress points have made a lot of it also meaningless, There are too many progress points, I'd like to see 2 progress points only 5 and 10; if that even really.

    This is all just one reason why the whole concept has become watered down and stale.

    Sorry about this comment, as it's a complete distraction from the topic on hand, but... This this this.

    I come back to DCUO after a few years, and now SM has progress points? Complete nonsense, catering to the casuals. Just a time grind now, so little risk, absolute boredom.

    I still wear my silver top from the first trigon's prison SM 2014 from way back then, before this progress point nonsense.
