How did we get this lag fest?

It sucks cause nothing has been said by devs since supposed hardware was installed and behind the scenes work completed. It led to more lag!

Thank you for the update but, i have a question about this "High" population. For literally, over the 6-7 years (probably longer) the population at the select your character screen is ALWAYS High, can you please explain this and why the now "high" population us causing issues?

I guess 100,000 is high and so is 500,000. I don't know the numbers, but two numbers can be considered high even though the value of both numbers are vastly different.

True but, even 2 mins after reset it says high, when the chat box is dead and almost no one in the WT. So when is it ever not "High"? I highly doubt 100K players or even 10K players are on as soon as the game is back up. I feel like they are lying to us when the say "High"

Hey devs consider shutting down the server for a day or two to get to the root of the problem. I would rather have a lagg free experience while I wait then actually having to play with lagg making content unplayable.

Man, i had to leave FBE after we finally got first boss! Not cause people weren’t experienced but because the laaaaaag was ridiculous! Im with you, shut it down and root out the problem! Couldn’t even dps correctly or hit the consoles on second boss! Just horrible!

If it was consistent lag across the whole game, I might agree with the "shut everything down" sentiment. But I don't think we can say that's the case.

I had one bad day in the last week when dealing with lag, where switching characters took much longer than normal and having actions registering with the system (interacting with banks/vendors) as well as some hitches with abilities having slow recognition. But that was it. The worst I've had since that day was one brief moment at the Doomed Metro repair bot on the hero side taking a second longer than normal.

I know that's only one person, and I consider myself lucky that I've really only had one bad day. But there's a chance that I'm not alone in avoiding the lag that others are experiencing. If the lag isn't across the board and being seen/experienced across the whole game, it makes it tougher to say "shut it down," especially with folks these days wanting some kind of escape or distraction.

Given that Forumites are just a segment of the overall player population, what are Shout chat and the other public chats looking like? Because based off what I've seen on Forums alone, seems you're part of the fortunate minority?

Come on with this damn LAG! Not only is it happening in the new content but old content as well. I have been patient as hell for a week and its still not fixed. This is embarrassing. The lack of communication regarding the lag issues plaguing this game is mind boggling to me.

Hell put the lag fix on the marketplace for $9.99 we'll buy it... look at me giving them ideas. SMH

I have seen plethora of people on in game chat comparing about lag.

I don't know if shutting the servers down for 24-48 hours is the right way to go but they definitely need to fix whatever is going on. This lag has persisted off and on for a week now. Lets hope they don't give it the same level of attention they have given to PVP, Paradox Teleporter, LPVE feats, "new" way to transfer money to our alts, etc...or else we'll be expected to just deal with it for the next few months to years.

It's horrible. Today i just had to log off. Game isnt playable right now. Even yhe daily missions are bad. They ssy they added hardware to the servers to help lol. Man this is really making a lot of people lose interest in this game fast. They have a sale going on and i cant justify spending money on something i cant play.

the sale is more like a slap in the face to me. but it is what it is, they don't care about it neither should we.

It's insane and what is more insane about it is that not only are they not maintaining this issue fast enough, threads about it seem to vanish for no apparent reason.
