How can I make some specific players of a specific league banned without blacklisting them?

Translation: The players that probably should have been perma-banned for flushing the game's economy down the toilet 2 years ago weren't, and so they continue to manipulate prices in the Broker by refusing to let other players have nice things for anything other than what they think those nice things should sell for!

So, barring RNGeezus smiling on me and letting the Black & White Neon Chroma Box drop in one of the Resurgence TCs I open, I'll continue to save up my Quarks for when it eventually hits Boo$ter Gold... 3 years from now or whatever. :(

Um...ok, so if problem is that a majority of the 'rare' or valuable items are attained by only a few people...how does that impact you or the general population negatively? It only impacts you if they sell them...and that would drive down the inflated prices. If they never ran anything there will be X amount of those things from legit runs...if they run them there are X+Y amount of those same things...meaning more supply. Even if these same hackers only sold the rare items for more than the legit player who farms legit, they won't sell theirs till the legit player sells his. The only outcome of hack farming is the price is driven down or the market is flooded with formerly 'rare' items. Unless they are actually farming sellable plans and gear and selling them for money to vendors, money only changes hands for sale of rare items in the broker...it's not generated or lost (outside the 5% broker fee paid). If there are 10 man-bat commandos in the broker, likely the cheapest will be cheaper than if there is only 1 in there...that's just how supply and demand works.

And I was only addressing the economy impact you brought up, it was the only subject in my response OTHER than yes...hackers should be banned mercilessly. No warning...no temp ban...banned if caught red handed (as so many have been). Ride alongs that are habitually (not one time in a random queue up) with the hackers, should be treated the same.

There is an old saying.... "If you can't take the heat, STAY OUT OF THE KITCHEN!"

This is an open, public forum. By posting this topic, you've opened up the topic to free and open discussion, including valid critiques of the steps you have and have not taken! You do NOT get to say that only one-sided views in alignment with your own can be presented. GROW UP!

IF you want the Devs to take action against this League, DO YOUR PART AND PROVIDE THE PROOF WITH THE REPORTING SYSTEM WE HAVE! PERIOD.

How are you not banned on here yet? Oh yeah lets not report cheating cause someone paid for the hacks.... wouldn't want them losing that money. Give me a break lol

From now on you will have opposite replies on whatever I say. I get it. You did not even talked or added the rest of this post of mine in your quote section. You just pick a section from my post and want to say whatever you see/believe is right with horse-blinders.

Still, you did not even read my previous post or did not get the grip of what I am trying to discuss here WHICH IS PROFESSIONAL HACKERS AND RIDE-ALONGS NOT LEAVING ANY TRACK FOR US TO TAKE FOOTAGE OF THEM. Stop with the "bRiNG prOoF / eViDeNcE " words already. I said few times already and saying again: I KNOW ways to and what requested to report someone.

Point is what are the other ways that Devs can do with existing (THE WEBSITES I PROVIDED AND THE METHODS THEY ALREADY HAVE) to spot hackers without our "proofs"

Try to think outside of the walls that surround you.

Lastly I'm looking forward to your new cosplay / style customization etc. guides. I'm more intereseted in the things you did on these topics more than things you implemented in this thread.

Just report them. If they get banned, they get banned. If not, oh well. It is what it izzzz.

It looks hard after all these years but I think that mentality should change and I believe thats what devs hoping for too.
  8. MrWood Well-Known Player

Your gonna have to add more detail. What mentality?
  9. jolaksi Well-Known Player

The mentality of "I did my part. Idgaf about the rest"

Knowing the person you reported (you are 100% sure on that person is hacked the game) is free and playing the game even after you get "Action is taken" message from support ticket or whatever method you choose to report. That breaks the trust in reporting system at whole.
  10. MrWood Well-Known Player

That is a rough mentality because not ever cheater is gonna get caught. But yeah, idk. Outside of reporting them, there is nothing else we can do. It's up to the devs/GMs to take action. Does this game not have a anti-cheat?
  11. BumblingB I got better.

It does. It doesn't work great, because it would cause a lot of false positives back in the day, but it is there.
  12. MrWood Well-Known Player

sounds like they need to go with a different company.
  13. BumblingB I got better.

I think they have an algorithm that looks for specific data changes that sends flags to a GM. I believe it originally used to autoban and you had to appeal to find out what it was. I'll be honest, I'm not sure how exactly it was working and how it's working now. I just know it's still there and I haven't seen people post about false positives in a long while. (I do see the occasional ban posts, where the person thinks they can garner support from the forum community. Spoiler alert, usually doesn't end well for them.)
