How can FOX reinvogorate the X-MEN franchise?

Well as I've learned FOX only owns the movie rights to the franchise, Marvel still has the TV rights. So there could be hope there, though that could be a budget nightmare but CW has shown it is possible.

The last time Marvel tried that Fox took them to court demanding an hour long show is long enough to qualify as a feature film in certain classifications so therefore it was under their jurisdiction... so that's not happening.

We also saw what happens when Marvel attempted to make a show working with Fox... Bryan Singer is now jumping up and down like one of the seagulls from Finding Nemo.

I agree. I think Singer and JLaw are holding back the possibility of change. With Jackman retiring the role of Wolverine the Xmen movies won't be so Wolverine centric but as long as JLaw continues being attached, Mystique will somehow become essential to the plot and given more screen time. As for Singer, he helped redirect the direction of the X movies since the awful X3 but his AOA didn't exactly end in fanfare either. The only positive was that he actually gave some color to the costumes instead of the black leather in past movies. Hopefully if they give the X franchise to another visionary director, they would not be afraid to make a decent approach to the comic costumes.

I would say that a 2 company deal would be in the realm of possibility as Marvel did with Sony for Spiderman because Guardians of the Galaxy director Gunn with the help from Marvel worked out a deal with Fox so he can have Starlords father in the upcoming Guardians sequel in exchange for Negasonic Teenage Warhead to be part of Fox's Deadpool and any related Xmen movies. You can look at this as the first steps to possibly working out a 2 company deal to unite the universes. However, Kevin Feige himself said that he has no plans for such an idea because he has the next phase for Marvel Studios worked out already but he said the same thing before the Sony deal. Should it happen, most likely it will require Fox to reboot the X franchise entirely so it can fit the MCU.

I guess FOX is going ahead more sooner than later. Besides the planned Deadpool sequel and the New Mutants spinoff. It's been leaked that FOX is currently working on the next Xmen movie which has been codenamed Xmen Supernova. So far, that's the only thing known so who knows if it's a soft reboot using the young cast that was presented at the end of AOA or a complete reboot

Remember Fox and Marvel are already "working together" for the new X-men show Legion. The reality warping mutant could be used for a catalyst for the new movies, but that seems highly unlikely since it's FX channel with a limited audience.

The Bad guy says every X men movie ever made made the People sick to his stomach. He would rather watch the Captain America movie with Ned Beaty and Ronnie Cox in 3D on a Imax screen for 17 days straight than watch one more horrible mutant story. Wolverine is not six foot two.

Get rid of Singer once and for all. His best days as a filmmaker are behind him, and he never really understood the X-Men. He was too ultra-focused on the 'mutant as gay' metaphor rather than the 'mutant as anyone who's felt alone' sort of deal. Although he got a little better about that once he himself stopped being gay.

Also, I'd consider making some actual X-Men movies rather than the 'Wolverine and the People He Hangs With' movies that they've mostly done. With eyes wide open, First Class isn't that great of a flick. It's just the first one that actually felt like it was about the X-Men rather than ******* Wolverine.

And leave Gambit where he lays, I love DCUO so. He's a terrible character. There's nothing to him but a lot of badly done retcons and ****** melodrama.

Lol the real killer is that FOX's Xmen codenamed Supernova is now being rumoured to be about the Phoenix saga. Not the Bret Rather X3 crap show but hopefully Singer and JLaw are not attached and the studio will bring us a better adaptation. If it will involve the Shi'ar and the Star Jammers would be surprising.

Also FYI, though the Gambit solo film is on hold, Channing Tatum is still attached to the project

As for the related movies, Deadpool 2 will supposedly lead to the X Force spinoff and The New Mutants movie is keen to have Professor X actor James McAvoy.

    Hey Everyone,
Well it seems FOX has released a promo for another X-men spinoff, the Bryan Singer directed "GIFTED." The show will star Stephen Moyer, Amy Acker, Percy Hynes White, Sean Teale, Blair Redford, Jamie Chung as the mutant Blink, and Natalie Alyn Lind as the mutant Polaris.

    The premise is as follows:
Two ordinary parents (Moyer and Acker) who discover their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.
