Home Turf Daily solo missions way to hard for fresh CR70

Admittedly, I'm on the other side of the factions but each of those missions.. I have my own little loadouts for. For eg, Steelworks, rather than running my DPS offspec gear, I'll equip troll gear, a dps weapon, and stay in troll role. Cos I can juggle the adds alllll day long that way.

That first room in Arkham.. I tend to lurk around the door.. fire a phantom flames at 2 of the guards, lure them into the room where you start, and beat them up. Rinse and repeat :)

I know this is an old thread but could you please explain how you do solo instances 'with my healer friend usually'? Do you walk in somewhere? TIA!

The missions around Strykers and Ace allow you to group up with people - so you can group up with a healer etc and help each other with missions. I did that with my league buddies when it first dropped in Jan 2013.
However the missions inside Ace & Strykes are solo only.

Agreed and even certain Controllers have a better time with the content. My Gadgets Troll walked into the Ace and Strykers daily missions and had very little trouble with the same 2.5 gear from Central City. But Gadgets has more damage output than some other Control set IMO.

here's another tip for the OP.... Watch for teams forming to do the Morrow and Siege Bot bounties... Since they fixed the drop rate (as in armor drops every time) you can be sporting CR 74 gear fairly fast and with some good mods those daily missions get a whole lot easier no matter what powers or role your playing. keep in mind that unlike some other drops the M + S bots don't allow you to pick what armor you will get so it is possible to wind up with several chest or shoulder pieces before you get that set of boots you want but eventually you can get enough to make your survivability go way up.

Strykers mobs are definitely tougher than the ones at Ace.. which is strange because when you complete five daily missions and do the solos .. the Stryker's mission is actually easier than the one at Ace Chemical. Oh and by the way to the OP again .. as tough as it may be definitely do dailies at Srtyker and then the daily. The cr 74 armor that awards does allow you to PICK what armor you get so if you do the M+S Bots and then do the Stryker daily you can find yourself with a complete set of CR 74 armor in a relatively short time frame.

    Notes of ACE and Strykers:

Strykers mobs seem to resist stuns and holds much better than the ones at Ace.

Ace mobs, in particular the Chemoids and even the Ace Lieutenants, seem to have a lot more knockdowns which leave you laying on your back instead of doing damage

As for the solos ... The Ace chemical solo requires that you defeat 1 sub boss (or a number of slightly lesser opponents like a trio of Chemoids or 5-6 exploding Volitile chemlings) and then escort Steel and his stolen prototype robots to safety and then battle a second sub boss and escort Steel again before you face the third boss to end the mission. And when you do it you will discover that Steel is a MAJOR pain in the butt and will agro on anything... Don't know how many times I have had him on the upper platform and figured we were home free and then he jumped back down to attack a mad scientist that seemed way too far away to draw agro. He will get you killed!

On the other hand when you do the Strykers solo you face a series of minions and a couple of lieutenants before battling one of four bosses .. Parasite, Captain Cold, Heat Wave or Metallo and you get a special shield to help protect you fro them before you enter the Solitary confinement area. See below for the way to determine who you will be facing and what shield to pick:

If the guard mentions that prisoner life signs are weak .. You will battle Parasite grab the Green shield

If the guard mentions Its getting chilly in here .. you will battle Captain Cold grab the red shield

If the guard mentions the fire system isn't working .. you will battle Heat Wave grab the blue shield

If the guard mentions the Geiger counter readings.. you will battle Metallo grab the white shield

70 is the minimum for a reason. Minimum meaning it will be difficult if you are CR70

Sorry... I made the solo missions outside of Stryker with my Healer friend.

Of course for the mission inside..... there is no other choice but to do it solo.

The same with Ace Chem, Arkham, Steelworks.

    Hope this makes sense.

I found them right in the correct difficulty. Not easy, not impossible. It's a great way to force players to maximize their efficiency and encourage collaboration among them. Been able to beat this content will give you the skills for what's coming next.

Shout for help and use the LFG channel and shout 'LFG 4 Ace/Stikers Missions'. And I'll suggest that you consider consumables like Personal Dampening Fields.

Que up for some T4 ops. There are enough high levels farming them for gear that they can carry you to a few pieces of 76 gear. This will help you in your Home Turf stuff when you go back to it. Also try finding other players doing the same missions and stay near them you will end up helping each other. The inside of Ace is quite easy once you know the layout of the map and the chain of events, I have done it on many fresh 70s just to get a good weapon.

Yeah the Shields (red, white, blue, green) do help quite a lot.

What I realised with my main as a Healer on PC is why it is easier to do the Stryker mission inside as a Healer since you can keep the Prison Guards alive thanks to your heals.

So as a Healer you can keep the guards alive and it is you and the 2 guards VS all the Prisoners and the bosses. Much more difficult to keep the guards alive if you are not a Healer.

But as a Healer the Prisoners outside of Stryker hits wayy too hard. And you do not have Prison guards that you can keep alive thanks to your heals. So outside of Stryker it is best to switch to DPS so that you can burn the Prisoners faster. Even if you are wearing Healer gear it is better to switch to DPS for the extra burn.

For Ace.... just switching to DPS with my Healer seems to be the best way to go for both the outside missons and the inside mission.

    Hope this makes sense.
