HL DPS Question

Hey all you Hard Core Lantern DPS out there...

Question for range DPS..is starting with activating your trinket, then Chompers, then Ram, combo to Fan then press button back to Ram, repeat 6 times then back to Chompers, cycle rinse repeat an good hard hitting range attack ?

If not, what would be a better rotation ?

Well, if that rotation doesnt work for you...

Try this-

Light Weight Strike or Chompers
Ram into Snap Trap Combo
Hand Clap (c) 2x
Grasping Hand
Repeat

I really love playing HL, so many rotations that will work:

+ Entrap -> Ram into Snap Trap -> GH into GH pull -> Snap Trap into Fan (or HV if you have the artifact)

+ Entrap -> Hand Clap ....... or GH into GH pull -> Hand Clap

etc....

What kinda numbers do you guys pull on HL? I've been curious about them just bc it seems like there are no DECENT hl dps they are either amazing or pretty bad. Is there a set a rotation that needs to be done for max damage?

I dont know about set rotation. But you absolutely need Grasping Hand and Hand Clap. You can start the power interaction with either Light Weight Strike or Chompers.

I tend to use Heat Vision because it is a *filler* for single target damage

30k on 3 targets, 17k on 1 target in 10s

On average? With or without SC? Buffs?

That's the highest I can get without SC/buff. Average is lower, around 28k for 3 and 16k for 1.

It's always more helpfull to talk about parses, if you use average parse.
I used to run like 20 of them and then using the average. Also the crit-chance then is on average. I helps more than: "I did like 30k+ because of some lucky crits."

That was without Tetrahedron. I think with that Artifact, my parse could be higher, able to reach to 30k easily

I'm not going to lie, I don't know what parses are in terms of the game play...but I haven't researched it either...

Go to Gameplayoptions. There you can set your parse. 10s, 30s, After Combat.
Then just let the damage pars be shown in your chatwindow (chatoptions).

Then you can fight/train at targets. If you set the 10s parse, then you will see the total damage after 10s, the damage per second, amount of hits, amount of crits, etc.
It can help you to compare rotations.

I would do it in a seperate chat tab. Can be annoying with 10s parses during normal raids/alerts.
That being said. It helps with comparing rotations, but I guess you know that the actual gameplay is not like fighting an sparring target all the time.

Lo and rotation?

Can anyone whose saying they get 25 to 28k parses tell me the LO and rotation so I have something to mess around with tonight? Best I got earlier was 23.6. Though I've been HL for all of 2 hours. Single target best I was getting was 14.

Multi targets: Sonic Cry then Chainsaw x5 then Chainsaw x5 then Chainsaw x3 then Sonic Cry or Entrap->Swing then Chainsaw

Single target: Entrap->Impact->GH then spam Hand Clap
