Apologies if this has been pointed out already or if this is just an asset used elsewhere in the game, I'm returning after a few years gone so I missed a lot. While exploring Apokoliptic Gotham City and the new alert I noticed some floating rocks with the Shazam symbol hidden in out-of-bounds areas. I assume they're in the solo + raid as well but I haven't gone looking yet. Didn't know if it might be a hint at the next episode or just something the level designers placed around for fun.
I'm starting to think they are a dev tag so to speak. whoever is designing these maps is adding their signature with it
Yeah... They've been in th elast couple of episodes... At least, confirmed in the open worlds. I'm starting to think they are a dev tag so to speak That's as good as any reason I could think of.
They're the Pet Rock of Eternity. You can get one as a Base pet (I forget where, though). The first time I noticed one was inside the Washington Monument in Bottled D.C., behind some rubble. Could be one of the level designers is a big Shazam! fan.
It was put in game shortly after the Rock played Black Adam. Get it? The ROCK. And it's a ROCK. But dressed like Black Adam. See? Hello, is this thing on?
At first I thought you were trying to say Brainiac Returns came out shortly after the Black Adam movie, but then I realized you meant the base pet. As a totally useless aside, did you know it can interact with other pets/totems? I had to remove one from my league hall because it kept chasing the Mysterious Briefings around and zapping them. IIRC, it was also going around, zapping the Batwing base pet.
I love it when they run around and cause chaos. I have like 50 briefings, 10 penguins and 20 Mushrooms running around our league hall in addition to a bunch of other pets, including lawnmowers. But yeah, the Black Adam rock has been in the game since Sins of Black Adam. The episode and movie both came out in October 2022. It was sitting in a tunnel you could go through once one of the raids was finished. Then they added it as a base pet. It's been popping up since then. They might be working on something bigger, but I think it's just a funny visual gag they like to run with.
