Is there a server problem, I log in only to be met with a beautiful new load screen only to have it never end. I just wanna play dcuo. Please fix this.
PC or PS or Xbox? Always clear history, temp files and cache on updates and hot fixes. If that does not work validate game assets.
Yeah, good luck with that. I've been having pretty much the same problem, but for me it happens while warping or teleporting from one zone to another I'm on PC, and have been trying ALL of those fixes, but have still been getting what I call "The Loading Screen of Death" pretty often, for a few months. The animated timer in the bottom corner keeps going, indicating that the game isn't frozen, but after a few minutes I finally get the disconnect screen, with a message that the game is down for maintenance. I get this at least 2 or 3 times a day. -and before anybody says it, NO, this is not because of the actual daily server maintenance downtime. It happens at all times of day or night, and I'm able to relaunch the game right after I get booted.
That means your connection is timing out and your PC is disconnecting you. Its not the game. You need to check your router and reset it. Update the firmware in your router if you can too. You have something causing a funky connection somewhere.
MY group got this twice tonight doing FoS Runs, finished Chasm, entered Core and all 4 of us got it, relogged, got into Core no problems, finished Core, went to go into Matrix, exactly the same, all 4 of us got loading screen of death followed by "you have been disconnected" after a few minutes, again immediately relogged, and got into Matrix no problem. 4 different people, all in different geolocations, on different ISPs, only common denominator... the game and the instance we were trying to enter.
which server and when exactly? I ask, because we recently got bi-weekly restarts and the instance system failing could be a symptom of server performance problems.
