Help! disconnected no reply from server constantly

    Hi,

    I've looked around a lot and there seems to be a number of these threads....

    here's my situation....

    about 3 days ago i started timing out after picking my character and getting the
    Disconnected - no reply from server.. exit game retry yadda yadda

    the annoying thing is *sometimes* ive managed to get in. each time i get the disconnected msg, people in my league have seen me log into league chat - then sign out. i can probably get in maybe once in every 20 attempts, but if i try load a new zone, ill almost definitely time out.

    in the unreal3 folder, in dcgame there is a LastDisconnectReason.txt , this is constantly re-written to containg - ASBNoReplyGivingUp

    I've talked to my isp and they have had a look and cant see anything wrong, ive opened a ticket with soe - no response yet there.

    ive had 3yrs of great gaming with DCUO up until now :/

    I have the exact same issue.

    Logged a ticket with SOE and still no response.

    I tried logging in for over 4 hours and could finally get in.

    One of my low level toons are appearing online in League as well.

    When league mates try contact that toon, it tells them that it is offline.

    Things I tried and obviously did not work as now i can log in again.
    • Reset my router
    • Clear out my QoS on my router
    • Clear out my saved data for DCUO (That just defaulted all my settings again and was annoying to get back)
    • Cleared all my browser caches and history
    • Cleared my history from Internet Options
    • Tried to Log in a billion times over and keep getting the DCUO screen of Death
    Can some one respond to this thread please and try and solve our issues?
    I have been p[laying this game over 3 years and this is the first time experiencing issues like this.

    I'm having the same issue myself; I've just reinstalled the game and I'm having the exact same problem. Looks like the Admins like taking peoples money and can't give a straight answer on how to fix this little problem.

    just to add a little more info on my issue (and maybe others)

    after picking a toon, and hitting play im not getting the loading screen for 10mins, its always the same time length, like 10-15seconds then disconnect - no reply from server.

    also, im from new zealand - not sure where the others above a from :)

    another interesting thing i tried last night, as a workaround, which worked was using a VPN.
    i read in another thread that someone tried that and it worked, and i can confirm that is the same for me.
    i picked a trial via purevpn, who have gaming optimised vpns, picked a usa location, and connected that way, hey presto... in everytime!
    now, this isnt something i want to maintain, its been working without a VPN for 3yrs, but it should narrow down the issue for the techs. imo its obviously something to do with the routing between my isp and the gameserver and the latency there.

    so.....

    tech people....

    help? im happy to run any tracert's or supply any info you'd like - just either pm me, reply here or - possibly even address my ticket i opened days ago.

    just tried logging in directly now, about a 40second wait on the 'waiting for login server' msg, got to the char select screen, picked a toon, loading, 10 seconds, disconnected - no reply from server.

    I am from New Zealand too. So it's just all of a sudden that NZ can't log into the game. And same thing here ISP said everything is good, (Orcon). Must be latency or something. Glad I'm not alone on this.

    Been with Orcon for about 4 - 5 months now, never had this issue, however I did experience that there was some latency issues. I.E the game lagged a tiny bit more and starting the game up took a little more time as well.

    Never had any issues when we were with Telecom or Vodafone really.

    My current ISP did line tests etc and said the line is fine.

    @Unida can you confirm your ISP. If it is Orcon as well I will get onto the phone tonight.

    yup orcon here too, initially when i emailed them they moved me to a 'more stable profile' whatever that means.
    end result of that was zero. i've updated the ticket with most of what ive said here but haven't had a reply.
    least is seems like we're getting closer to a reason, combined with the VPN test i did last night i think we can safely drill it down to the issue being somewhere between Orcon, their uplink provider & the SOE dcuo gameservers..... ok , fairly wide spectrum of possibility - but we're both in the same boat , in the same country, on the same isp....

    caen... where in the world are you? nz/orcon? :p

    Well I will defiantly get onto the phone with Orcon tonight.

    Bloody Kim Dotcom and his ****** advertising with Orcon, fast and stable broadband my *** . . .

    Like logging in since we moved to Orcon, it takes a good 5 or 6 seconds before my HUD starts loading.

    Connected to the game using my mobile phone (2 degrees) and that worked. So it is definitely Orcon lines.

    did you manage to talk to Orcon?

    im about to email them and reference this thread. would be nice if one of the techs could supply some gameserver ips or something for the isp guys to investigate the routing etc.

    I managed to get hold of them. However, they pretty much told me that i need to upgrade to VDSL or Fiber.

    However never had issues with other ISP's using ADSL2+

    I've been having the same issue for about a week. It takes a bit to get to character select, then I get disconnected as soon as I choose one.

    I don`t know if this will help you guys but you can give it a try. This helped me to get my wi-fi internet back, so is not about the Server connect problem but you can try it anyway, see if it pay any results.

    If your using a Router for internet connection go to you router gateway, log in, go to WLAN (wi-fi) and change the Channel from "Auto" to a number (let`s say 12 or 13) and then Submit.

    Hope this helps and hope you will find your solution to this problem.
