Have no fear, Spidey's here!...The Spiderman Homecoming Thread

Hey Everyone,
Just wanted to make a thread for the upcoming movie of your friendly neighborhood hero. As everyone probably knows, Tom Holland is the new Spidey, and since his debut in Marvel's Civil War, fans eagerly await what Marvel can do to revitalize Spidey since Sony seems to lack in that department. The movie will open July 7, 2017

And not for nothing, even though Tom Holland is currently filming, he recently took time to visit a children's hospital in Georgia in his Spidey costume, what a guy


Now aside from the obvious, the cast will consist of some new acting talent but will include

Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man
Tony Revolori as Flash Thompson
Laura Harrier as Liz Allan
Marisa Tomei as Aunt May

Angourie Rice as Betty Brant

Zendaya as Michelle (a new character and word is Peter's love interest which has sparked a rumor that the name is a ploy and in fact she is none other than Mary Jane Watson)


Other actors like Tiffany Espensen, Abraham Attah, Isabella Amara, Jorge David Lendeborg Jr., Michael Barbieri, and Ethan Dizon have been cast as Peter's classmates. However one thing of note is the names for Cindy (played by Espensen) and Sally (played by Isabella Amara). Will the movie have an easter egg that hints to what they will eventually become aka the superheroes Silk and Bluebird?

Bokeem Woodbine as Herman Schultz aka Shocker


Michael Chernus as the Tinkerer


However the main baddie will be the Vulture (based on the concept art) to be played by none other than Batman / Birdman, Michael Keaton

Spiderman is like Batman.... they have too many movies! (Or are in too many movies.)

Difference being, Spidey doesn't suck Kryptonian guzzle-juice by the barrel-load!

So basically they're making Spider-Man into a tween movie. Wow.

**** this Spider-Bambi and **** Aunt Babe. Films like these prove the Disney generation of moviegoers are stupider than Homer Simpson.

No she didn't, she's been cast as "Michelle".

And they didn't forget about her, she's listed above.

Enjoyed the Maguire Spidey-movies, but have to say, from that clip, Hardy has done a most excellent job of portraying the 'true' Spidey, the wise-cracking young Peter Parker Spiderman

Wasn't Shocker a German? Or was his real name (Herman Schultz) just a coincidence?

Still holding out for a "Scarlet Spider" movie one day, he had such a cool look (so expect that to be changed ) and way cooler powers

How can someone who has the same exact powers, have cooler ones? Unless you're referring to the fact that the Scarlet Spider's spider sense couldn't be overridden by Venom like ol' Peter Parker's could.

Do you mean the impact webbing and stingers? Those were weapons that Reilly developed and used as the SS and than later on when he took over as the "official" Spiderman... however, these weapons were later used by Peter Parker (although he went back to "traditional" weapons shortly after).

Yes, the impact webbing: that was something the clone never developed (oh wait, you still believe Ben to have been the clone?)
The only reason why 'Parker' would have gone back to his 'traditional' weapons is because he had clue how to use them properly (or maybe it was he didn't know how to repair or reload the stingers)
