Not sure if everyone else gets this as a Hard Light Controller, but sometimes using the Defense Debuff (Light Blast) doesn't work all the time and at other times does not work at all. For example, I could hit Light Blast several times on a single target and the Def Debuff icon will not show up and then other times it would work as usual. This has been happening for a while and other HL Controllers in my league have said the same thing, but we kind of dismiss it and carry on, but it's been more frequent lately and I've had enough because I end up using up alot of power trying to def debuff So, for those who have the same issue, please support a bro to help get this fixed. I can back up this claim..happens quite often for myself..I often have to do light blast 2-3 times to get it to stick. I do admit sometimes its a lineofsight issue..but many times it's not..I will.position myself, no one blocking my sight and get a good clean hit with light blast, and nothing happens... PS Op..this should be .moved to the bug section of the forum..
This is a known issue, it should work if you lock on to the person first. I also hear that if you cycle through targets you can get more than one debuff per use.
Its not just HL. I have this issue with Gadgets. It may be a visual bug. but you can throw a debuff 200 times and it wont show up. Once you cycle and hit other targets it will usually stick after you come back to that target
@Revoemag - Thanks for the support, how do I move this to the bug section? @TheViolator - The thing is, I do lock on the target first. I've also tried locking on target, def. debuff, then will cycle through to other targets, come back to intended target and sometimes it works again, then other times it doesn't. @Solutha ^ same as above. Some extra info I forgot to mention in my original post, I recall others telling me via Raidcall, at times even from my side when the def. debuff icon doesn't show up, it actually shows up for everyone else which is weird.
yea this happens to me as well, on USPS4, but I always thought it was because I clipped the animation with a ranged weapon attack so it canceled the def. like I clipped it to fast I mean.
I have found the same, regardless of target locking or not. For sometime now been wondering if I had been doing something wrong or if it was a bug.
I have the same bug, sometimes I cannot debuff the whole alert. I also have the debuff issue with other troller powers, but they appear less there. In general there is a bug, that sometimes some group members CAN'T SEE a debuff which is actually there. This bug is nearly a year old that sometimes you just don't see a debuff. Please devs have a look at the whole debuff issue and fix these important bugs.
Do not get me going on this. I waste so much of my power bar trying to debuff...you know if you hold down L2 R2 on a PS controller it targets said enemy, even this does not work. I have to get closer and closer...One time I had to get face to face with Queen H. in Defiance to debuff her...that was not cool as I got one shoted right after that...not cool...
Yup. That's why I tend not to debuff much as a troller. Because for months on end, I have to throw them repeatedly and waste a ton of power if I want them to stick. So now I basically just keep them in my loadout to use if I have a bunch of extra power and no one needs it.
So that happens when you run with 3 DPS players in alerts since DPS players no longer need trols. Cool. If you run the stand 1-1-1-1 setup and have a Nature healer in bug form, you should have plenty of power as you should only be powering up the tank.
Am no longer HL since Munitions dropped, but I find sometimes this debuff issue happens with Munitions as well I'm thinking of going back to my first love HL, so hopefully this gets fixed.
