Halls Of Power CR Requirements Too LOW!!!

I really suggest raising the CR requirements for Halls Of Power Content. I work a lot and don't always have the luxury of playing with my friends when i get on i need to get into a group quick. If i shout, i get in fast, occasionally you luck up on a group experienced enough to be there, but some of these kids don't even have enough skill points for weapon mastery, much less have the gear necessary to even complete the t6 alerts.

The Alerts are Fair in difficulty for geared players, not too hard but also not too easy. GREAT!!
But when we i get into group with kids who are still in vestments and hop lite gear, it almost never gets don't.

    Example
Under geared Tank - whole group suffers
Under geared DPS - Slowest burn
Under geared Healer - whole group dies
Under geared Troll - Once power runs out....GAME OVER

I suggest 104 CR Minimum for alerts and 105 for Raids. This ensures people aren't going into Lock down in hop lite gear.

I do agree the cr is too low but thats one of the main problems with a free to play game you have to keep the cr access as low as possible but try and keep the content at a level that the better geared players can play.
That's were alot of the nerfing talk comes from people who have skipped a few dlc's and come back and try to do the hard content and fail.

I have o disagree . Especially since as healers got left back in the old dlc and many healers including myself was unable to get gear. If you want to fix this ask your league at the end of the day people want to progress and have better gear.

i get that, but also back in earlier days of DC they also had NOVICE and EXPERT. the cr requirement for EXPERT was higher.
even something that simple would help.

just because people didnt need healers, was no reason not to get the gear. Learning to Dps just to get the gear for your healer wouldnt be hard. WM made it easy to dps for anyone and loadouts are everywhere. if you cant run both roles, everyone else on the game shouldnt suffer for it.

    It should be 106+cr.

Full Hoplite gets you to 104, just saying.

I do agree that there are many players around running the new content that don't even have WM and when asked they will say they don't have enough SP. That alone can turn an alert into a long torture run for the whole group, but its not all.

there are players of lower CR that know how to play their role so well that you don't notice if they are 100 or 104. We have too many players around that can't play their roles, trolls that don't know how to pot, tanks who only shield but not pull, heals that do something other than healing. That is more often the case to a failed group than CR

before t6 i barely dps, but by halls of power i had full t6 for both roles, without replays. Thats hardly an excuse for not being geared. and if you are in t5 gear running halls of power your resto isnt high enough to heal hald of these dots these bosses lay down.

From a DPS standpoint, I have to agree.
I have 2 toons, DPS and Troll.
My troll was 104 going in, and I handled it no worries.

My DPS however, was 103, half vestaments, half 92 gear, and my DD output was not up to standard.
I will admit I am not the greatest DPS in the game, but I go alright, however, considering my CR was 3 above the required, I feel it was still too low.

Agreed. I once was running with a balanced group and was the troller in crime alert. After like 30 mins i noticed that the burn was really slow so i inspected the dps and couldn't believe that he had a few 83/86 pieces on. I left and didn't wanted to waste even 1 more min with the group.

Grind some gear from dlc 10 before wastimg everyone's time with your trash gear.

full hoplite modded, new players, settle for t5 synthetic mods in gear and dont have the needed stats to complete the mission.

Novice and Expert content was an experiment that failed horribly. It wasn't out at launch and after its inception, they didn't try it again.

And i agree with this part, i have skilled friends. there could even be a testing zone, to test your healing or trolling, or tanking, and if you were skilled enough for higher instances, then you could be given a skill rating, allowing you to enter content above your cr.

I don't see why CR requirments need to be higher for the 4 man content. None of the new ones are harder than TD. The support roles definitely do not need to be anything higher than cr 100 for the 4 man stuff. I admit that having high CR DPS does make things go faster because of the health pools for the new bosses and adds.

anything would be better than getting in a group for 20 minutes only to inspect the guy next to you and realize he has on gear from Origin Crisis and your depending on them to complete Lockdown. sometimes your the last person to get picked up for a group and dont get the chance to chase down everyone and inspect them.

New players. Yes. But there are many out there that might just gotten to that CR, know how to do it and are wearing full hoplite with synths. My tank was CR 102, mix of vestment and hoplite, synth mods - got the 50 pt feat in ICW.

I'm not disagreeing with you that the CR is too low, it could probably do with 2+, but it is not always gear that is the problem. If a CR 107 troll has no idea what PoT is, then you can't blame the gear for failing an alert.

they are not harder, but in TD this never really was a problem because "A&B" and "Paradox speed feat" was still really popular, to keep these players occupied.

I don't see what that has to do with what I said.. The stats of a tank, troll and healer at cr 100 (given this is their main role and it's not someone who just bought armories and decided they are something else than a DPS now) is enough to get your through any of the 4 man stuff without problem. You just need good burn.

true, but its less likely to happen with an increased cr req. at this point in the game, once you hit lvl 30 you can buy full 52 gear iconic drops. getting you high enough for fos. run all fos, buy mods and a couple piece t3 gear. cr70. run all t4 raid once, buy mods for drops...cr80. run iconic solos, mod gear cr 84... RAVEN A&B RAVEN A&B RAVEN A&B....CR100.......

^^^ this is who you want fighting along side of you? all this can be done in one 12 hour gaming day.
