Guys Girls and Hair Styles oh my

There are many guys who play girl characters including myself. Last night I was in a group with three other guys who had girl characters. What is so appealing to us about them? For me, I've always played girl characters in any other game I've played as well. In this game I prefer the styles more but am a little bummed that there are way less hair styles than the men characters.

Why do you play a female character and would it be cool to add more hair styles and maybe more dress/skirt type styles?

I play a female character because she's based on a character from another game. Also I'm female : P I do get taken aback a little when I hear a guy's voice coming from a female toon lol. But to each their own

I'd love more hairstyles, but I don't think it's ever going to happen.

I heard one video game reviewer explain that he always prefers to play as female characters because, and I'm paraphrasing, if he's going to have to look at someone for hours on end he'd rather it be a woman.

LOL. That's exactly the way I feel about it.

I typically choose females simply because in all honesty i CAN be a girl. All of my toons are girls and actually it wasnt supposed to go like that... I was actually gonna make a RP toon to look like Vash the Stampede from Trigun -sigh- it would be cool if i could have one big gun cuz thats typically what he uses instead of two. One time you see him with two but only once but i wouldve managed either way. Honestly it just happen like that and i am just whimsical about it.

I complain about the lack of hairstyles and occasionally the lack of good looking styles for the women as well. I usually have fun with the skin styles and really get a theme going. I found that the most fun about creating a female toon after my first 4. It was real easy for me.

Besides, after i made 6 i was thinking, yeah there are enough male heroes/villains as is lol.

Plus on a more personal note, i have a soft spot for girls as is so thats also been factor in other games.
In a game called Monster Hunter i did the same but i saw the Big *** swords the women were wielding and i thought how cool it was to see a women whoop some *** with a big *** sword. I mean sure its cool when a guy does it idk its different when you see this slender figure swinging a sword and cutting a monster's tail off that gives a certain badass feeling that i think i get when i watch a Tomb raider movie lol.

I shouldve just said that from the start instead of my long *** reply. Lmao

new hair styles will come but thats not like a big thing the game designers should be worried about new powers areas to hangout and missions after that styles then weapons at the bottom of the list hair styles

Me too. After all, Tomb Raider was not a success just because the player had to run around the game.

First, more hairstyles for females and males would be a good thing.

Secondly, there are actually more female hairstyles than there are for males. But this is using the word "hairstyle" to represent actual hairstyle, and in the game it represents both hairstyle AND facial hairstyle. For each of the basic mens' hairstyles, there is a variant with each type of facial hairstyle attached to it.

I play female because I am female lol So I just relate better playing the gender that I am. I have alts that are male too but they may be a bit too "fabulous" and "flamboyent" in style for most tastes.

As for hairstyles, I'd always welcome more!

I would like more hair styles for both genders even if they were marketplace purchases.

There seems to be two types of players with this. The objectifying where they see their character as having a life of its own, and the identifying where they see their character as an extension of themselves.

Just like I've said on the 100's of other threads on hairstyles that have come before, I too would like more styles as well.

I think the first type is a player who plays a lot of alts.
The second type is probably a player that stick to one maybe two characters.

You have to keep in mind that that's mainly because of facial hair options though. These numbers are in no way accurate and are just me guessing but say for example females and males both had 10 basic hair styles, the males then also have 10 different types of facial hair. Each of the original 10 hair styles for the males then have each facial hair style added which makes them have 110 "different" hair styles.

Again, I made those numbers up and they do not represent the actual in game hairstyles (unless by some miracle I guessed correctly).

That being said I would absolutely love new hairstyles for all characters. I seem to remember Jens or somebody mentioning a few months back that the reason there aren't any more at the moment was because of logistics and having to make sure they would be compatible with all the style items in game so far. I'm paraphrasing, but I'm pretty sure it was something like that.

Who knows though, maybe (hopefully) we will get more in the future.

Is anyone else saddened by the lack of female facial hair styles? Guys get all these snazzy beards and coffee shop goatees. I'd love to sport some sideburns.

A beard would go PERFECT with the underused "Wise" old lady skin.

At least if they aren't able to do more hairstyles, how about a hair palette? Highlights are hot and it's almost spring. My girls need some color!!!

And guys should have a mullet style. I think that would be funny

I've wondered since day one why our hair is a single colour, especially considering that at E3 a couple of years before release one of the characters had black hair with a blue piece in her fringe. There was also Defcon who had nail polish. I know it's not a big deal but a touch like even nail polish can make a huge difference to a character's look.

A world of difference Polish makes (IRL) I probably wouldn't need to use the 4 sets of glove styles I like lol

I can't find the character who had two different colours in her hair as I can't remember her name, but this is Defcon who was shown at E3 about a year and a half before the game's release and she had her nail polish on.
